Everything up to chapter 3 with a sneak peek into chapter 4

Chapter 1

The midmorning air was stale with the stench of sex and weed. Stella’s snoring shook the tequila bottles strewn about her nightstand. The raven-haired mutt rolled over and faced the entrance to her bedroom. Her breeding partner Ramona slept like a rock candy through the boisterous rumbling.

A tiny phantom phased through the door and fluttered up to Stella’s snarling face. A bright blue light flashed from the little mochibun ghost, solidifying her physical form. Its cyan fairy wings glowed brightly behind the white phantom, fluttering to keep it afloat. “Gooood morning Stella! Yuki at your service!” The tiny white mochibun struck an adorable pose that was wasted on the unconscious canine. Yuki grumbled, floated up to Stella’s forehead and gently placed all three of her rotund fingers against it. Her paw whipped into a fist, causing Stella’s head to snap back enough to shake her awake. Stella snorted and opened her eyes. Yuki flew back into position and cleared her throat. “Goooood morning Stella! Yuki, at your service!” she said, hitting the pose twice as hard.

Stella smiled at the tiny bunny. “Morning.”

“So!” Yuki bowed before Stella. “What is your pleasure, my mistress?”

Stella aimed to kiss Yuki on the forehead but their size difference made it a full torso contact with the canine’s plump black lips. “Music.” she whispered.

Yuki smiled. “As you command.” Yuki clapped her hands together and struck a new pose to expand her fairy wings into a pair of massive speakers. Nu-metal blasted through the jelly sound system, jolting Ramona awake. Stella banged her head to the beat and rolled up a joint, sparking it with a bit of lightning magick. She took a nice long drag before doing a big stretch, causing her bones to crack. She rolled her neck to feel out her stiffness as Ramona did a much gentler yawn and stretch.

Stella grinned at her breeding partner. “Let’s beat that quota.” she said, gripping Ramona’s round ass.

The curvy bunny giggled. “The extra claws would be nice. The kitchen module is busted.”

“Ugh it’s always something!”

Ramona leaned forward and whispered in Stella’s ear. “Then you’d better give me something worthwhile.”

Her words sent a shiver up Stella’s spine as the canine’s round pupils contracted into hearts. Ramona was specifically bred for sexiness. Even Stella’s stoic personality was easily shaken when left naked before a professional. The galactic average session with a breeding mochibun like Ramona is 4.3 seconds. Due to Stella’s nature as a tank, she lasted several minutes before impregnating her rabbit partner. Ramona laid back and rubbed her belly as Stella sat up to grab a drink.

Yuki watched the entire thing, leaned up against the wall. In her mindscape she replayed the recording of the sexy sequence, jumping to her favorite moments. A HiveNet notification buzzed in her head. Yuki’s eyes glazed over as her mind processed the data. She perked up and flew across the room to deliver the good news.

“Stella!” she shouted. “We finally have a new job offer!” Yuki repeatedly clapped her hands together to work out some of her excitement.

Stella sighed. “Finally. Screen.”

Yuki tugged at her cheeks, stretching her face to trigger her natural morphing abilities. When she let go, her head snapped to the shape of a CRT television. Yuki’s cyan eyes looked down at the screen that formed where her mouth usually was. Static hummed before the image of an older T-rex with pink hair came into view. She sat behind a pine desk with her robotic arms resting in front of her, hands clasped together with silver fingers interlaced. The dinosaur’s scarred face was locked in a stern expression as she spoke.

“My name is Teressa Wrex. I am the founder and CEO of Fossil Fumes. From our humble beginning as a carbon capture company, we evolved into a megacorporation that leads the galaxy in cosmetic research and development.” Teressa tensed her metal hand into a fist. “Such a meteoric rise to power has earned us a lifetime of unwanted and costly attention.” She slammed her fist on the desk. “A recent break-in at our headquarters claimed valuable company property as well as our most high-profile V.I.P.” The executive pointed a finger at Stella. “We need you to secure the property, make contact with the V.I.P. and neutralize the thieves. Our intel has tracked the perpetrators to a warehouse on the outskirts of district twelve. Due to the sensitive and urgent nature of the situation, we will need you to leave immediately and resolve it as soon as possible. We are prepared to offer you the sum of one million claws upon completion.”

Stella was in the middle of downing her sensenbeer when she heard the word one million. She inhaled sharply, sending the fizzy alcohol into her lungs before coughing to clear them. “One million claws?!” she exclaimed. Screw fixing the kitchen module. She could remodel the whole apartment with that much cash and still have a hefty chunk left over.

“I look forward to your timely response.” Teressa concluded. The transmission buzzed out and Yuki shook her head, returning her face to its resting shape. She flew up to Stella who was still trying to catch her breath.

“Soooo, are we gonna do it?” Yuki asked.

“Fuck yeah!” Stella exclaimed.

“Yaaaay!” Yuki spun around in joy before sending a mental message to accept the job.

“Wait!” Ramona huffed. She rolled over, hefting her massive pregnant belly. “Pick up some beta carrots on your way home. I’m going to need a heavy dose of vitamins for this clutch.”

“Yeah yeah. I’ll do it if I remember.” Stella said.

“And I’ll make sure she remembers!” Yuki said.

Ramona smiled. “Thank you. Be careful out there you two.”

Yuki gave a traditional mochibun salute of two paws palm down on the top of her head to mimic a pair of floppy rabbit ears. “Roger! Roger!” She flexed her paws in time with her words. Stella and Yuki locked eyes and grinned at each other.

“You ready?” Stella asked.

“Let’s hit it!” Yuki exclaimed.

The duo dashed into the springy wardrobe whose entrance flexed around their bodies. The furnishing bounced around as Stella and Yuki squirmed inside of it. The closet then flung itself into the air, spun around and transformed into a long railgun. The tip pointed out the window as the closet launcher hummed and glowed with power. Yuki counted down. “Launching in 3… 2… 1…” The wardrobe blasted Stella out of the window. She was dressed in a skintight purple jumpsuit that showed off the black star fur markings on her bare shoulders. Yuki was tucked away within the canine’s cleavage as they both whipped through the city air. Their trajectory was a smooth parabola that sent them toward sector twelve of SilverVale.

The sprawling multicolored metropolis buzzed beneath them as they approached their target area. The sky above this section of the city was stuck in an eternal orange haze. The planet of Eris was tidal locked with its two suns, forcing one side of the planet to be engulfed in light while the other half was eternal darkness. Before Stella could hit the ground, Yuki flew out of her partner’s boob window and morphed her body into a long hoverboard. Stella twirled around to orient herself for a smooth landing. Once Stella was settled, Yuki slowed them down to a more acceptable speed for the busy city.

Massive advertisements littered the sunset sky pushing the latest robotic enhancements and genetic modifications. Tens of thousands of beings walked the streets below as hundreds of hovercraft flew above them. Big behemoths of buses collected hundreds of pedestrians and carried them down the street. The citizens of SilverVale were from every walk of life imaginable and unimaginable. Huge hulking hippos several stories tall, tiny rodents in three piece suits skittering through the streets, and a plethora of indescribable alien species that would take years to even list. Despite the diversity of such a city, the dominant species was overwhelmingly the mochibuns. The average mochibun stands between three and nine feet tall with infinite variations on fur color, body shape and flavor. They make up seventy percent of the city with the entire universe having at least some mochibun DNA. The mochibun empire is vast and ever expanding with strict regulations on genetic standards and mandatory breeding quotas. Their colonies ran with a brutal efficiency and synchronicity that was second to none.

Stella effortlessly navigated the chaotic city skies, zooming closer to the thieves’ hideout. The city became dank and dirty as she neared her destination. Vagabonds and junkies shambled through the dilapidated streets. Despite the filth on display, this was a palace compared to what one would find on the undercity’s Main Street. Stella saw the warehouse in question and flipped on the hood of her jumpsuit, triggering the optic and olfactic camouflage. It wasn’t the fanciest stealth model but it would be more than enough to fool some opportunistic goons. Once it fully kicked in, both Stella and Yuki were undetectable to the untrained eye and nose.

In front of a warehouse in district twelve, two burly masculine alligators wielding assault rifles stood guard. The younger of the two was named Garruk and the older was Grock. The younger gator was bored and restless, looking for any way to pass the time. “So…” said the younger gator. “Did you meet your breeding quota this month?”

“Barely.” sighed the older gator. “We can’t afford another penalty or else we’ll be on the streets or hooked up to one of those horrid milking machines.”

“You know… if you found one of those breeding buns, you could-”

“Not this again.” snapped Grock.

Garruk shrugged. “I’m just saying, a few sessions and you’d be golden. I finished my quota two weeks early.”

“That’s because you’ll fuck anything with a pulse and I’m not even certain that would stop you. Some of us are trying to build stable relationships.”

“Pfft! Why waste your time with that when there’s a mountain of intergalactic pussy on speed dial?"

“It’s called love Garruk. Maybe in a few years you’ll start to understand.”

“Oh please. Love is nothing but a chemical reaction, a hormone cocktail that anyone can serve. It just so happens that some serve it better than others.”

Grock sighed. “I pity you.”

Garruk growled at his fellow gang member. “You can take your fucking pity and shove it up your ass. Maybe then you can start pumping out some real cum out of those dried up cranberries you call balls!”

Grock rolled his eyes. “I’m not about to take relationship advice from a junkie hopping from one hole to the next. One of these days you’ll regret not putting down firm roots.”

Garruk chuckled. “Oh I’m putting down roots, old man. With the extra claws I get from whoring my reptilian ass around the system, I’ll have a mansion by the time I’m your age.”

“Enjoy your empty hou-” Grock was cut short by a silent bullet blasting its way through his skull. His green blood splattered on the wall as his body crumbled to the ground. He laid there a moment before his corpse compressed and retreated into the glowing green core at the center of his being. The candy core hovered in front of his young partner.

“Grock!” Garruk whipped around and scanned the area in search of the bullet’s source. He felt a tight invisible force wrap around his thick neck. Garruk struggled and gasped for air as Stella’s camouflage went on cooldown. Garruk looked up at his canine assailant and blushed at the gothic beauty. Stella tightened her grip and wrenched at his neck as Garruk wheezed out his last word. “H-harder…” Stella groaned in disgust and snapped the gator’s neck. Like his partner Grock, Garruk’s body compressed into a floating green core. Stella collected both candy cores and raised them to her wide open canine maw. Her long sharp tongue licked and sucked at Garruk’s green apple flavored soul before swallowing it down. She did the same with Grock’s core which had a far more sour taste than the younger gator’s. Stella sucked on that one much longer before swallowing it as well. A moment later, hours of memories featuring the two alligators flashed in Stella’s mindscape.

Due to the natural encryption every soul has and Stella’s own privacy morals, plenty of information remained hidden. She focused on learning more about the heist at Fossil Fumes. She saw the planning stages, the ride up to the headquarters and the first breaching explosion on the facility. The moment they entered the building, it all became a pink haze. The next useful memory was of the gators fleeing the facility with a tall metal canister and wooden crates. None of the memories told her what was in the containers. Anytime someone described them, some outside source censored the words. Stella shook her head as she came back to her body.

Yuki fluttered up to Stella. The tiny bunny’s hand was morphed into a cannon. She scanned the perimeter as she spoke. “What did you find?”

“There are five more gang members inside.” Stella said.

Yuki cocked her arm cannon. “Yay! More target practice!”

“It’s strange. I didn’t see any hostages and huge chunks were censored.” A chill ran up Stella’s spine. “There’s something fishy going on. Be careful.”

“Roger! Roger!”

Stella’s camouflage suit beeped to indicate it was ready for use. She flipped on the hoodie and stepped through the warehouse entrance. A few gator gang members patrolled the interior. Stella picked out the smallest and scrawniest one, stalking the meek gator until he was out of his comrades’ view. The puny alligator did a big yawn and stretch. The moment his jaw relaxed, it was clamped shut by Stella’s invisible hands. The gator tried to pry his mouth open to no avail. He was lifted up by his snout, carried higher and higher towards the ceiling. The gator flailed and punched at Stella’s arm, unable to coax a reaction from the invisible assailant. They hovered high above the rafters. A fall from this height would pop most low level beings. Stella turned off her camo and was face to face with the scrawny gator runt. She stared at him as he quivered in fear. “I’m going to let you go.” The gator flailed about. His desperate muffled screams barely audible to Stella. “If!” Stella interrupted. “You don’t give me quiet and honest answers. Got it?” The gang member grunted in agreement. “Good. Now, where is the hostage?” Stella let go of the gator’s mouth and caught him by the shirt.

“We didn’t take any hostages!” the gator whispered.

“Liar!” Stella growled.

The gator whimpered. “On my jaw, we only stole crates of product and some tech. We were on the hunt for some new drink that makes you ungodly levels of horny.”

“That explains the crates. What tech did you swipe?”

“It looked like a machine used to make the drinks. It wasn’t part of the plan but the boss wanted it too. He took the crates and the machine into the basement hours ago. Nobody’s heard from him since. That’s all I know I swear!”

Stella pulled him in close. “We’ll see about that.” She stabbed her clawed through his chest, popping him instantly. Stella caught his core and swallowed it down. Stella’s body fattened up some around her breasts, hips and belly. Her stretchy jumpsuit was able to accommodate her extra heft. Stella concentrated on comparing the gator’s words with his memories.

Yuki sent Stella a mental message. “Was he telling the truth?”

Stella replied in her mind. “His core is screaming to me that it’s the truth and his memories line up with his story, but there’s still so much blocked out. We’ll have to check the basement and confirm.”

A curvaceous feminine gator stood guard at the elevator. The lift dinged as the doors opened. The gator looked into the elevator and saw it as empty. She lifted her weapon and swept the interior to confirm nothing was inside. The gangster looked around confused as Stella hovered above her, taking aim. The moment Stella’s camouflage faded, she descended upon the curvy gator and elbow dropped the gangster, popping her form. Stella swallowed down the core and her body fattened up considerably compared to the small snack she downed earlier. She also grew a few inches taller due to the extra biomass. “That one was just for fun.” she smirked. Yuki giggled at her partner as they made their way to the basement.

The door opened with a ding, revealing a dark room that was decimated. Stella activated her night vision augmentation to get a clear picture. Claw marks lined the walls. Bent metal and broken glass littered the floor. The air reeked of sugar and bleach. Stella’s footpaw kicked a round glass bottle filled with a pink liquid. She picked it up and read the label. “Pherofluid.” She held it up to her tiny bunny partner. “Yuki! Analysis.” Yuki floated closer and rested a hand on the sealed beverage. An array of ones and zeros sparkled in her eyes as she scanned the bottle’s contents. Stella looked into an open crate that had a handful of bottles left inside of it. Yuki’s eyes snapped to their resting shape once her analysis was complete.

“Carbonated water: Sixty milliliters. Lemon juice: Twenty-five milliliters. Raspberry extract: Five milliliters. Sodium benzoate: Two grams. Glycerol: Point five milliliters. Citric acid: Point five milliliters and trace amounts of unknown biomass.” She read down the list in an emotionless monotone before taking a good look at the drink herself.

Stella pondered the list of ingredients. “Sounds like a soft drink. What kind of biomass would a soft drink need?” She looked back at Yuki who was already halfway through drinking the bottle of Pherofluid.

“This is fucking delicious!” Yuki exclaimed before chugging the rest. Stella’s curiosity got the better of her as she cracked open a fresh bottle and took a sip. It was sickeningly sweet yet the aftertaste tried to lure her into a second sip. She resisted the urge and tossed the rest of the bottle to Yuki. “Whatever. Now, where’s that machine?” Stella scanned the room and spotted the same cylindrical piece of tech that she saw in the memories of the gator gang. “Jackpot!” It was a metal tube with a glass front and an opening underneath. To the untrained eye, it looked much like a vending machine but something about it seemed off. She could feel a strange presence inside as if it were alive. She walked around it and couldn’t find a power source or any way of opening up the machine. “Yuki! Analysis.” Stella waited for her partner before looking back at her. “Yuki?” The tiny bunny’s face was flush with a pink blush. Her flight pattern was lethargic and unbalanced.

“I feel… so hot.” Yuki stripped off her top and pulled down her yoga pants. “Stella, I need you.” She sloppily fluttered towards Stella and clamped herself to the mutt’s moist muzzle. Yuki humped her naked body against Stella’s nose. “Gimmie that tongue sweetie! Gimmie! Gimmie!” Stella would normally indulge the bunny’s request but it was unlike Yuki to ask during a mission. Stella heard heavy footfalls thumping in the distance. She pried Yuki off her face.

“Shhh you hear that?” The footfalls got louder and louder while Yuki continued to moan and grind against Stella’s hand. The rabbit was helpless in this flustered state. Stella tossed Yuki into her maw to keep her quiet and work out the intense lust that burned inside of her. Yuki’s muffled moans were barely audible as the footsteps got louder. Stella clicked on her camouflage a moment before a massive alligator snout sniffed around the corner. A huge hulking masculine body stomped into view. He sniffed the air and snarled before scanning the room. The monstrous gator’s eyes were glazed over and glowed a bright pink. He moved like a feral beast hunting for its prey.

As the gator approached the machine, his head snapped back from an invisible impact. He stumbled back and looked for the source of the strike before taking two more hits. The creature shook his head and roared at the room. He huffed and snarled while standing absolutely still. The gator twisted around and grabbed something made of air. He squeezed hard, forcing Stella to shriek. As her camouflage flickered off, the gator stared her down and growled. The monster had her by the neck, choking Stella and slamming her against the floor again and again. The final toss made Stella bounce off the concrete as he kicked her hard in the gut. Stella flew across the room and skipped like a stone before eventually rolling to a stop. She groaned and held her stomach, trying to keep her mouth shut to protect Yuki.

Stella got back on her feet and took a stable karate stance. She smirked at the gator and taunted him closer. The gator roared while charging at the sturdy canine. Stella held her ground and took a deep breath before striking the gator in the gut, stopping him in his tracks. She followed up with a mean uppercut then overwhelmed him with a flurry of vicious blows. Again and again she punched away at his head while kicking at his legs and midsection. Each attack had her strike a stable pose before shifting to the next one. She wound up one last powerful straight. Stella’s fist crackled with electricity as it smashed into the gator’s skull, knocking him on his ass.

The massive monster shook his head and wobbled back to his feet, giving a weak roar before charging Stella again. She took a deep breath and focused on her opponent. As the gator lunged to bite Stella, she grabbed the top and bottom of his open maw and wrestled against the strength of his jaw. His mouth started to close. Stella screamed as she ripped it wide open and used the leverage to snap his neck, turning his head backwards. The gator stumbled back and crumbled to the ground. His body retreated into a massive candy core that was at least five times bigger than the other souls in her belly.

Stella took a knee to catch her breath, huffing and puffing and realizing why her mouth burned with a minty flavor. She spat Yuki out and rolled her tongue about to get rid of the overpowering taste of the rabbit’s juices. Yuki splattered on the floor, panting in a puddle of Stella’s saliva. The tiny bunny writhed about and a pink blush overtook her body.

Stella eyed the massive green candy core floating in the air. Before she could reach it, the core began to glow with a bright green light that illuminated the entire room. It floated up higher and glowed brighter as the gator’s body tried to flicker back into existence. “Oh no you don’t you fucker!” Stella leapt at the core and swallowed it down in one big gulp. It slowly slid down her throat and bounced into her belly. The massive gator’s body reformed in Stella’s gut, bloating it out so much it sagged onto the ground. The angry alligator writhed, kicked and scratched inside of Stella’s stomach yet she remained unbothered. “Struggle all you want. You’re not getting out of there until I say so.” He squirmed in Stella’s belly until her stomach digested him down. As she absorbed his mass, Stella gained a ton of heft on her curves and grew about a foot and a half taller. The gator’s huge candy core sat in Stella’s stomach, making her look pregnant. Stella let out a boisterous belch and rubbed the smooth solid core in her gut.

As Stella let out a relieved sigh, the metal canister beeped and released an overwhelming cloud of pink mist. The wind whipped around the room, forcing Stella to shield her eyes. “Ugh, what now?” she grunted while walking closer. The glass door slid open to reveal a tall skinny hot pink flamingo laying down inside. She wore a cheerleading uniform with two F’s stretched across her ample chest. The top was short enough to show off her slim belly while clinging to her curves. Her sapphire eyes fluttered open as she slowly turned to look at Stella.

“You there. Come closer.” Stella hesitated but soon complied. “Closer.” Stella inched a bit closer to the flamingo. “I have to ask you something.”

Stella tilted her head. “What is it?”

The flamingo took a deep breath. “Will you go shopping with me?”

Stunned by the question, Stella muttered “Uh… yeah. Sure.”

The flamingo did a big yawn, stretching her arms all over the room. The bird’s wings elongated over several hundred feet as the pink appendages sought to use every bit of the basement to properly stretch herself awake. The flamingo’s arms snapped back to their resting length before hefting the bird onto her webbed feet. She stretched herself up to Stella’s face. “Hi! I’m Taffi! What’s your name?”

“S-Stella.”

Taffi grabbed Stella’s hand and wobbled her arm up and down in a perfect sine wave. “Nice to meet ya Stella! What’s with the belly? You pregnant or something?”

“Oh! Um, no it’s the core of the gang leader that abducted you.” Stella rubbed her smooth stomach. Taffi got a close look at the rounded belly.

“Ahhhh. Got it! What about the case of Pherofluid?” Stella pointed at the open crate behind her prompting Taffi to stretch her neck across the room to take a look inside. Taffi’s bouncing body stiffened. She slowly stretched her neck back and looked at Stella. “You didn’t drink all of those bottles did you?”

“Nope. Wasn’t me. I only had a sip of one.”

“Oh thank goodness.” sighed Taffi. “There were a hundred bottles in the case and I counted only twelve in there now.”

Stella pointed to Yuki who was still squirming on the ground. “Well she drank two.”

Taffi craned her head over Yuki. “Yeah, not a surprising reaction given her size. She’ll be fine once it wears off in a couple of hours.” She snapped back to her resting shape. “Any idea what happened to the rest?”

Stella thought for a moment. “Well the gang leader was the only one down here with the crate. He probably drank the rest.”

Taffi’s eyes widened. “That would make eighty-six bottles in one day.” She looked at Stella’s rounded belly. “And if you ate him… ” Taffi’s skin saturation muted as a horrified expression spread across her face. Taffi cradled Stella’s cheeks and looked her in the eyes. “Stella. Look at me. Everything is going to be ok.”

Stella’s eyes widened. “Oh fuck. Nobody says that shit when things are actually ok. What’s going to happen to me?”

Taffi stretched over to the machine she emerged from. “If we can get back to the tower in time, nothing.” She whistled a short melody which the machine repeated before folding and compressing into a tiny capsule smaller than Yuki. Taffi slipped the capsule into her cleavage and pulled out a round pendant. A holographic keypad hovered above the glowing gem.

“What if we don’t make it in time?” Stella asked.

“If my calculations are correct, your higher brain functions will shut off permanently and you will tear through the city on a horny rampage until the empire or a creature culler cuts you down. Like I said though, everything is going to be ok.” Taffi started dialing her holophone.

“Are you calling an ambulance?”

“Even better.” The round pendant rang for a moment before the image of Teresa Wrex projected up from the device. “Hiiiii Granny!”

Teresa’s stern face popped into a warm motherly expression. “Hey baby! You doing alright?”

“Right as rain Granny.” As Taffi spoke, she stowed the remaining twelve bottles of Pherofluid in her cleavage. “We’re gonna need an extraction for Stella though. She has accidentally ingested approximately eighty-six vials of Pherofluid in one go.”

“Jumping jellybeans!” Teresa exclaimed. “A hovercopter is already on the way. Is the landing zone safe?”

“Let me ask. Hey Stella, did you take care of all the gators?” Stella’s legs started to wobble as a splitting headache throbbed in her mind. “Stella? Are you feeling alright?” Stella fought to maintain her composure.

“Two!” she blurted out. “There should be two gang members left upstairs.”

“You heard that Granny?”

“Yeah. Take them down quickly Taffi and get Stella outside. The chopper will be there in less than five minutes.”

“Hold on!” yelled Stella. “You hired me to save her. Not the other way around.” She stumbled but managed to stay on her feet. Stella punched her open hand. “I’ll finish this job without your help.”

Taffi cooed. “Oooooh I like her! Great pick Granny.”

Teresa shrugged. “I try. That chopper is already paid for though so get your butts on it. I’ll leave the rest up to you two.” The transmission cut out and Taffi tossed the holophone back into her cleavage.

“Ok Stella. If you are insisting on finishing off the last two gators, at least toss the cores to me. I don’t want your condition to worsen.”

“Whatever.” Stella said. “Keep an eye on Yuki while I take down the rest of the gang.” Taffi stretched over to Yuki who was still on the floor pleasuring herself. She seemed to finally slow down and her pink blush faded slightly. Taffi turned her hand into a spatula and scooped Yuki up. She shoved Yuki under her skirt and moaned as she deposited the tiny bunny inside of her. A moment later, Taffi grunted and pushed out a light blue egg that had a picture of Yuki on the side.

“There we go,” said Taffi. “I’ve seen these eggs survive a missile strike. She also has enough room to comfortably and privately take care of herself.” Taffi tossed the blue egg into her cleavage. Stella sent a mental ping to Yuki to confirm she was safe. Yuki returned the ping.

“Good.” said Stella. “Let’s head upstairs. Stay out of sight and keep your head down.”

They rode the lift up and as the doors opened, Stella sprung forth and spun around to see if anybody had a line of sight on them. Once she confirmed it was clear, Stella beckoned Taffi closer. Taffi stretched her leg out to take one big step and stood right behind her bodyguard. Stella scouted ahead and spotted one of the gators patrolling the warehouse. She signaled for Taffi to hide which prompted the flamingo to shrink down and take shelter within an empty soda can. Stella stalked closer to her prey and right as she was about to deliver a devastating blow, her headache returned. She couldn’t help but yelp in pain, alerting the guard to her presence.

“Contact!” the chiseled gator yelled. She pointed her gun at Stella and opened fire. Stella crossed her arms to protect her head as the barrage of bullets slammed into her arms and torso. Despite the high velocity rounds, none of the shots pierced beyond an inch deep. It still hurt like hell but compared to the headache, this was nothing. Stella charged the gator, tanking a few more shots before barreling into her muscular opponent. They tumbled on the ground together, both rolling back onto their feet. The gator attempted to reload her gun but Stella was too quick for her. The sturdy canine kicked the gun out of her opponent’s hands and was on the attack.

The gator dodged and blocked the weakened strikes. Another harsh twinge of pain pulsed in Stella’s skull, giving the gator the perfect opening to land a flurry of blows. Stella struggled to stay on her feet as the well-toned gator used her as a punching bag. A strong blow to the head flipped a switch in Stella’s mind. As she stumbled back, her eyes flickered pink and she snarled like a wild beast. Drool dribbled from her clenched maw as she lowered herself into a primal stance. She barked and growled, striking fear into her opponent’s heart. The gator trembled as she took a few steps back. Stella slowly closed the distance. The alligator turned and ran which triggered Stella’s instincts, making her lunge at the burly reptile. Stella tackled her to the ground and used her teeth and claws to rip and tear into the gator’s tough scales. The alligator shrieked in pain as her green blood splattered everywhere. A crazed grin spread across Stella’s face. She let out a wicked cackle that echoed throughout the warehouse. The gator managed to twist around and land another strong blow against the side of Stella’s skull. The canine reeled back and soon returned to her senses. Her eyes widened as she looked at the gruesome display and at her own hands that were coated in the gator’s blood. Stella took a deep breath and steeled herself to complete the mission.

The alligator was crawling away when Stella stepped in front of her. The calm canine raised her foot and crushed the gator’s skull, ending her pain. The gator’s body retreated into a green candy core. Stella whistled and Taffi emerged from her can, returning to her usual size. Stella tossed the core to Taffi who shoved it up her skirt before pushing out a green egg with a picture of the gator on the shell. She tossed the egg into her cleavage. “Only one more left!” Taffi said.

Stella’s ears perked up to the sound of a hovercopter approaching the warehouse. “Fuck it. Let’s go.” She grabbed Taffi’s hand and ran to the door. Taffi’s arm stretched to follow her protector until the rest of the bird’s body decided to snap forward.

The two of them burst through the door as the chopper touched down. Stella started off pulling Taffi towards the hovercopter but another wave of pain surged through, forcing Taffi to take the lead. She helped the stumbling canine into hovercraft and laid her down on a cot where two medics started checking her vitals. Once everyone was secure, the hovercopter took off into the sky. As Taffi was about to close the door, an alligator wielding a rocket launcher ran outside and took aim. “Oh fuck!” Taffi stretched her head next to the pilot. “Keep going! I’ll catch up.” Taffi stared down the gator and braced herself. As the gator fired the rocket, Taffi launched herself out of the hovercopter, putting her on a direct collision course with the projectile. She stripped off her top and puffed out her chest, absorbing the rocket directly into her cleavage. Taffi took aim at the dumbfounded gator, morphing her wing into a giant fist. She came down with the force of a bomb, crushing the gator and cracking the ground underneath. Once the dust settled, the only thing left of the gator was a fractured candy core. “Ooop! Overdid it.” Taffi gave the core a long sensual lick, repairing the crack before encasing the soul in one of her eggs and tossing it into her cleavage.

Taffi eyed the hovercopter which was already a dot in the distance. She got a running start and twirled into a cartwheel. Her body morphed into a ball to build up momentum. Taffi then flung herself into the air and stretched out her wings, flapping away in long powerful strokes. She soon caught up with the chopper and stuck herself to the backside of the hovercraft. Taffi stretched herself into the interior and closed the door. Stella laid on the cot, barely conscious with an oxygen mask fitted to her muzzle. One of the medics looked up at Taffi.

“She seems to be reacting well to the neutralizer but she’ll definitely need some time in a pod to fully recover.” said the medic. “Her cells absorbed quite a bit of the stimulant. It’s a miracle she lasted this long but I expect her to make a full recovery.” Taffi knelt down and grasped Stella’s hand.

“See. I told you. Everything is going to be alright.” Stella weakly gripped Taffi’s hand and gave a small smirk. The canine’s grip loosened as she lost consciousness. The chopper rushed toward the Fossil Fumes headquarters to finish Stella’s treatment.

Chapter 2

Nera’s sapphire eyes fluttered open and scanned the room. Her morning arousal was distracting so she took care of herself in a way that collected her seed in a pocket dimension. A shadow in the corner watched and poised itself to strike. As Nera fully relaxed, the shadow zipped across the room in a cloud of smoke and coalesced into her physical form. The shadow poofed into a tiny mochibun with black fur and fire red hair. With a kunai in hand, Neige flapped her black feathered wings toward Nera, lunging at the calm canine. She stabbed at the air in front of Nera, connecting with an invisible shield that sparkled when the bunny made contact. The shield automatically shot out a spear of ice at the attacker which Neige dodged.

Nera sighed. “Must you ambush me every morning?”

“Not every morning.” Neige said. “Just until I break through that ice wall!”

“So every morning.”

Neige grumbled. “I’ll catch ya with your pants down one of these days! I swear I got close once when you were sleeping.”

Nera giggled. “I’m sure you will. So, do you have our route planned out for today?”

“Yep! You’ve got a loooong list of residents to visit. Better get a move on!” Neige flew away from Nera, turning into a cloud of smoke and slipping through the gap at the bottom of the door. Soon the sound of a grinder tearing through coffee beans could be heard coming from the kitchen. Nera did another big stretch before making her way to the bathroom. After a quick meeting with the toilet, she hopped into the shower. She took her time letting the nice hot steamy water cascade down her snow white fur. Her blue paws pumped some lavender shampoo out of a nearby bottle which she worked deep into her thick fur coat. She ran her fingers through her long white hair, detangling some of it at the blue tips. Once she was completely clean, she sat under the water for a few minutes longer to enjoy the warm cozy sensation. Eventually she turned off the water and activated the drying function. A small wind tunnel formed in the shower, blowing away the moisture in a matter of seconds.

Nera walked to the kitchen, sat down in her reading nook and Neige placed a piping hot cup of coffee in front of her. The arctic canine gazed out the window, looking out at the frozen landscape below. The same stars lingered above her, never moving, always shining in the pitch black sky. The fresh snow danced in the whipping wind. Nera sighed at the majestic mountain view as she sipped her coffee. Her blue-tipped tail started to wag in anticipation of her daily commute.

Nera sat in front of the window sipping her hot white chocolate mocha. The snow outside picked up, falling harder and harder. Nera wagged her tail as she watched the massive snowflakes pile up on the ground.

Since she had the extra time, Nera decided to take care of herself again, this time using the portals to impregnate herself.

Once she caught her breath, Nera finished her coffee while rubbing her round pregnant belly. The sloshing belly thickened up into a firmer form. Nera was a rapid breeder and would have a nice clutch of eggs ready by the end of the day. They didn’t sell for much but her consistency and speed made it a decent source of income. In order to achieve her dreams, she required a steady day job. Nera hefted up her round belly and picked up her holophone from the coffee table. After a few button presses, a grid of light formed around her body. The growing dots filled in, forming a blue sundress that felt like the softest of cottons. It hugged her rounded form perfectly. Nera stepped up to the sliding glass doors that led out to her back patio. The wind whipped around and the flakes came down in heavy blobs. The scent of crisp winter air filled her nose. She took a nice deep breath and basked in the beautiful mountain scenery. Nera stepped up to the platform overlooking a steep decline down the mountain. She waved her hand in front of her eyes, conjuring a pair of snowboarding goggles onto her face. Neige flapped up next to Nera. She smiled at the tiny bunny,

“Race you to the station!” Nera said.

“You’re on, ice princess!”

Nera jumped from the platform as Neige flew down alongside her. The cold wind whipped all around Nera as she fell further and further. Before she hit the snow, she conjured a board made of ice. She landed in a pile of fluffy white powder. Nera carved and sped through the treacherous landscape. She slalomed through the pine trees and used the cliffs as ramps to pull off board grabs. Nera spun like a ballerina, pulling off a 1080 stalefish. She sped through a tunnel, her laughter echoed throughout. Nera went flying off of another cliff, doing a triple backflip flying squirrel. As she landed, Nera carved a bit more before spotting the train station in the distance. She leaned in deep, speeding towards her destination. As she got closer, other arctic creatures made their way to the station. A polar bear on a snowmobile, an emperor penguin on skis and a grey wolf on a snowboard to name a few. Nera kicked up a cloud of snow as she came to a stop. Once the snow settled, she saw Neige was already waiting for her.

“Took you long enough princess.” Neige taunted.

Nera giggled. “I’ll get you one of these days.”

The ice board shattered and dissipated into a pile of snow. Nera and Neige made their way through Zekul station. All manner of arctic creatures congregated in the white transit hub. A good portion were ice dragons as either commuters or workers aiding in the station’s smooth operations. Nera made her way to the magtrain. The platform was quite full. In Zekul, the cold encouraged the creatures to instinctively huddle together for warmth. I was a tightly knit community that cared deeply for each other. Paws would wander all over when on the way to work. Nera felt the familiar grasp on an ice dragon cupping her backside. She smiled at the welcome touch.

“Mmmmh good morning Edion.” Nera said.

“Good morning princess.” said the ice dragon. He rubbed her nice round belly. “Looks like your womb is already full. We can still have some fun though.” Edion and Nera fooled around on the train platform, warming each other as their hands explored each other’s bodies. The melodic chime of the magtrain rang out in the distance. He smiled and slapped Nera’s ass on the blue heart mark on her right cheek.

“Have a nice day at work princess. Save that womb for me next time.” Edion gave her butt another spank. The magtrain came to a stop and the doors flew open. Tons of beings dashed out of the train while half of those on the platform darted into the cars. Nera squished up inside of the train, surrounded by dozens of snow bunnies. The doors closed up, keeping Nera tightly packed with the little rabbits. One of the rabbits blushed at Nera. The canine smiled down at the feminine rabbit and slowly licked her lips.

The train came to a stop at Nebula Square and Nera was already twice as round. Nera shuffled out of the train along with hundreds of other beings. They all moved in perfect harmony despite the high volume. Nera walked down the street for a few minutes before entering a massive skyscraper made of blue glass with silver trim. The acronym S.P.A.W.S. was written on the building’s facade. As Nera walked up to the front desk, she snapped her fingers and summoned a silver badge with the same acronym engraved on it. She flashed the badge to the artificial intelligence that ran the reception desk. After a quick scan, she was cleared to enter the building proper. The door behind the desk opened to reveal hundreds of diverse beings walking, trotting and flying around in all directions. Although the styles of their outfits differed vastly from one another, they all wore blue clothes with silver accents. For Nera, it was her blue sundress with silver trim on the hem and a silver sash around her pregnant belly. She waited for the elevator which darted down, stopping briefly at several floors. It soon reached the lobby and a dozen beings all dressed in blue and silver shuffled out of the lift. Nera and some of her coworkers packed into the elevator. As the doors began to close, a familiar voice yelled out. “Wait! Hold the elevator!”

Nera stuck her footpaw in between the doors to trigger the sensors and keep the doors open. Soon a black crow in a blue sailor outfit with a silver tie and trim trotted into the elevator. She was holding a stack of papers so high, Nera could only see the crow’s shapely legs poking out from her pleated blue miniskirt.

“Thank you Nera.” said the crow.

“You’re welcome Misa.” Nera said. “Need help carrying that paperwork?”

Misa nodded. “Yes please.”

Nera made a series of hand signs before conjuring an ice clone of herself. It had the hollow eyes of an empty doll and spoke in an upbeat monotonous tone.

“What is your will mother?” asked the doll.

“Help Misa with carrying these books along with anything else she needs until she dismisses you.”

“Yes mother.” said the doll. It took the heavy papers from Misa, allowing the crow to be properly seen by Nera. She shook out her wings and rolled her shoulders.

“Thanks a ton Nera.” Misa lifted up her pleated miniskirt, flashing Nera her black and white striped panties. “How about a quickie as a thank you?”

As the elevator dinged on the forty-fourth floor, Nera’s left Misa a panting mess, her belly nice and round with the canine’s seed.

“Have a good day Misa!” Nera said.

Misa huffed. “You too ice princess.”

Nera stepped through the sprawling office. It was a calm scene with hundreds of beings working in their cubicles. Dozens of them pleasured each other as they worked while others were completely locked into their duties. Nera resisted the temptation of joining in and focused on making her way to her desk.

As Nera laid back in her chair, the HiveNet hardline connection pierced her neck and took her consciousness to the work server. Nera’s body laid still as the data for the day flooded into her mind. She simultaneously uploaded her data from yesterday. Nera worked as a cultural ambassador to the city of SilverVale under the S.P.A.W.S. department. S.P.A.W.S. stood for Sympathetic Police and World Security. S.P.A.W.S. is tasked with the health, safety and defence of every single being on the planet. They work to ensure everyone is physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually sound. They are separated into specific clusters that have specific specialities and duties. Nera is a member of cluster fourty-four. They specialize in cross-cultural exchange and emergency healing services. A major part of Nera’s daily duties is to conduct home visits and check in on the citizens of sector four.

The data being transmitted was everything she saw, felt, smelled, tasted and heard during her visits. Nera’s mind spent an hour on data communication. When the transmission was complete, the hardline disconnected from her neck and her eyes fluttered open. She returned to her office and the familiar musk of her coworkers’ combined passion.

Nera collected her things and made her way to the eastern wall of the office. There sat a massive hoverport lined with S.P.A.W.S. hoverbikes and hovercars. Nera stepped to her hoverbike and the moment she sat down, it recognized her and started up. The lights on her bike blinked on and the important information appeared as a heads up display in Nera’s peripheral vision. She waved a hand in front of her eyes and conjured her goggles. As Nera revved her bike, she felt Neige creeping across her skin as a flat shadow creature. Nera giggled as Neige skittered around to find a comfortable spot. Once Neige settled down, Nera floated up off the platform and toward her first assignment.

A massive grin spread across Nera’s face as she playfully zipped through the busy city skies. She ducked and dodged the intense traffic, feeling the hum of the city. Nera slowed down as she approached her first stop. She hopped off of her bike and gently howled a steady tune that was repeated by the hoverbike. The bike then folded up into a tiny capsule that Nera put into her bag. She stepped up to a brown apartment building, entered the small lobby and flashed her badge to the AI concierge. She was let in and rode the elevator to the twelfth floor. Nera walked down the hallway until she found the client’s door. She rang the doorbell and patiently waited for a response. The door opened slightly, restrained by a chain. A sad set of eyes peeked at Nera from the darkness. Nera gave a warm smile and wave that caused the eyes to perk up. The door shut closed for a moment before opening up fully. A large masculine lion with a big round belly stood in the doorway. A t-shirt from the hit anime “Moon Moon Magical Girls” stretched across his chubby torso. The lion buzzed with excitement as he eyed Nera. He scooped up the folf and hugged her close.

“It’s so good to see you ice princess.” The lion said.

“Hehe! Good to see you Leonidas.” Nera said. “Let’s get started with our check in.”

Leonidas nodded. “Of course. Come on in.”

He set Nera down and led her into the apartment. The walls were covered with posters from several movies, anime and video games. Hundreds of figurines sat on shelfs, mainly half-naked feminine characters from anime and video games.

“Oooh! Looks like you got a few new figurines since last month.” Nera said.

Leonidas squealed with glee and started pointing to his collection.

“This one is Miki-chan from ‘Kissy Kitty Club’, this one is Haruna-chan from ‘Starbaters four’ and this is Kagurimi-sama from double-ended dominatrix." He ran through the new additions in one excited breath. Nera listened intently and complimented the design of each figurine. They briefly chatted about each show and shared recommendations. “Oh! Manners, right… Would you like something to drink?”

“Sure!” Nera said.

Leonidas went to the kitchen and returned with a glass of Tropical Dew. It was a bright blue soda that radiated a powerful glow. Nera smiled and accepted the fruity drink. “Thank you.” she said before taking a sip. It was a delicious cold fizzy concoction with heavy notes of pineapple and mango. Nera swallowed a few gulps and let out a gentle sigh. Leonidas grinned at her adorable noises. Nera set the glass down and cleared her throat. “Let’s begin. How have you been feeling since our last meeting?”

“Better! Much better. I made ten new friends on the HiveNet and one in person. We went out for drinks and Bun’s and Fun’s. We played all of the games they had. Set a few high scores as well.”

Nera clapped her hands together. “How lovely! I’m proud of you for putting yourself out there more.”

Leonidas rubbed the back of his neck. “Heh thanks. Like you said, if I keep an open heart, clear mind and a thick skin, the real friends will come to the surface.”

“Gotta take some chances and also be ready to protect yourself.” Nera takes another sip of the neon blue soda. “Are your finances stable?”

Leonidas nodded. “I have been doing regular sessions with some breeding buns, selling my art on the net and earning some prize money from competitive gaming.”

“Good to hear! Money isn't everything but if you don’t get ahead of things, the empire will milk you dry. Literally.”

“S-sounds kinky.” Leonidas muttered.

“It works for some if you are willing to give up your freedom and possessions.”

“I’ll defend my waifu’s with my life!” Leonidas exclaimed.

Nera smiled and laid a hand on the lion’s arm. “I know they appreciate your devotion.” Leonidas blushed at the loving attention. “Have you been sleeping well?”

“Like a rock candy.” Leonidas said.

“Good. Rest is the first step in having a healthy and productive day.” Nera finished off her soda. “Do you have any questions for me?”

“I want to look into having a live-in breeding bun join me here. What is the process for that?”

“You can submit a request through the S.P.A.W.S. netsite or I can do a compatibility scan on you now and bring it to headquarters.”

“The scan sounds good to me if that’s alright.”

Nera smiled. “Fine by me.” She stood up and walked behind Leonidas. Nera gently rested her hands on his shoulders. “Relax and let your mind fly free.” Nera reached behind her neck and pulled out a blue tentacle connected to her brain. She guided the squirming appendage up to the back of Leonidas’ head. It tickled his neck before penetrating into the lion’s brain. Leonidas’ eyes contracted into big hearts. Nera’s eyes also changed into hearts and her eyelids fluttered as she scanned Leonidas’ mind. She assessed his kinks, current mental state, emotional needs and physical desires. Nera then used the information to search through the database to active free agents. Her eyes glowed blue with gentle pulses. “I’ve found a match.” She transmitted the profile to Leonidas’ mind. “Her name is Marla Bohemia. She is a yandere gothic bun that can fulfill your desire for a demanding dominatrix. She can be quite intense and is not for the faint of heart. If you are interested, I can arrange for a trial home visit.”

Leonidas blushed heavily as he eyed Marla’s profile. “Yes! She’s perfect!”

Nera smiled and felt a blush of her own wash over her face. “She really is quite enticing. It seems like you and I have very similar tastes.”

“Have you ever met her?”

“No. This is my first time viewing her profile.” The mochibun had short curly black hair, gaunt cheerful eyes, pale white fur, and horizontal scars on her shoulders. She had black diamonds all down her ears and one at the center of her chest. Her neck had a black horizontal stripe that looked like a permanent choker. Nera’s heart beat heavily in her chest. Her eyes contracted into large hearts. Her mouth watered with drool.

“So, when will she come for the first visit?” Leonidas said.

The lion’s words snapped Nera out of her trance. She wiped her maw as she spoke. “Umm, it depends on her availability. Her specialty is breaking and entering. If you consent, she will lockpick your door and crawl into bed with you.”

“Oh fuck! Yes please!”

“Excellent.” Nera closed her eyes and focused for a moment. “There. Your request has been sent. Expect a response within seventy-two hours. Our time together is almost complete. Is there anything else you require?”

Leonidas shuffled nervously. “Umm… well… c-could we do that paw stuff we did last month?”

Nera smiled at the lion. “Certainly. Take a seat.”

Nera used her footpaws to pleasure the lion. It didn’t take long before he was finished.

“Mmmh thank you ice princess.” Leonidas said.

“You’re welcome sweetheart.” Nera replied.

Nera and Leonidas chatted a bit more and shared a big hug before Nera exited the apartment. She left the building, hopped onto her bike and rode off to her next client. Nera met with four other citizens, each with their own list of needs. Sexual contact occurred with some of them but not all. Most days, clients needed someone to listen to their problems and encourage them to push through life’s arduous trials. If requested, she had no problem giving them a release if the schedule permitted. Her last client for the day was a new arrival to the city. She was a young golden retriever who came to the city to get her books published.

Nera rode her bike up to a beautiful blue apartment building. The facade was all frosted glass tinted a deep blue like the ocean. She rode the elevator up to the top floor, a penthouse. She rang the doorbell and patiently waited for a response. After a reasonable amount of time, she rang the doorbell again. After another period of reasonable time, Nera slammed her fist against the door again and again.

“S.P.A.W.S. health and safety visit. Everything is being recorded. If the door is not opened in the next two minutes, the city has given me the authority to break it down to confirm the resident is safe.”

Fifteen seconds later, the door cracked open to reveal a meek nervous gazelle. He was tall, scrawny and the most flighty being Nera had ever seen. He avoided eye contact. Nera still smiled.

“Greetings. My name is Nera Shiva. I am a S.P.A.W.S. agent looking for Millicent Deborhall.”

The gazelle’s brown eyes darted everywhere except Nera’s gaze. “Um, she’s not in. I’ll let her know you stopped by.” The gazelle tried to close the door. Nera stopped it with a paw.

“It is my job to confirm the safety of all residents under my wing. My intel says Millicent is currently home. If you do not step aside, the empire will charge you with hindering a health visit. That alone is five years of restriction.” The gazelle sweat bullets before stepping aside. Nera entered the penthouse and eyed the massive mess strewn about the apartment. Piles of beer bottles, half-empty baggies of drugs and random used syringes littered the penthouse. Nera sighed. “What is your name sir?”

“O-Ozpin…” muttered the gazelle.

Nera sniffed the air. “Where is Millicent right now?”

“Not here. Business trip.” His words were barely audible. Nera stepped her way through the apartment, her nose guiding her to the client. The scent led her to a locked room. Her ears could hear the sound of computer keys clacking. Nera knocked on the door and the typing stopped.

“Hello? My name is Nera Shiva. I am a S.P.A.W.S. agent here for Millicent Deborhall. Are you in there?” Nera pressed her ear to the door. She heard a weak voice.

“Help me…” Nera’s eyes widened and she kicked down the door. She saw a malnourished golden retriever wearing a shock collar. Her wrists were chained to her desk, swollen from overuse. Her eyes were dark and gaunt with deep rings, the kind of rings you only get from crying your heart out. Nera moved up closer and summoned a katana in a blue sheath. She cut the collar off of Millicent and slashed the shackles without harming the hungry dog. Millicent rubbed her wrists and neck, taking deep breaths. She smiled at Nera for a moment before a shocked expression spread across the golden retriever’s face.

“Look out Nera!” yelled Millicent. Ozpin readied up a strike with a baseball bat. The wooden bat cracked in half against Nera’s invisible ice shield. An ice spear automatically shot out in response, stabbing the gazelle’s hand and forcing him to drop the broken bat. Nera’s sapphire eyes turned to rubies. The folf’s brow furrowed and her mouth contorted into a heinous grimace.

“Assaulting a S.P.A.W.S. agent in a crime punishable by crushing.” Nera’s voice was deep and rumbling. It sounded like two voices speaking in unison.

“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean-” Nera sliced off one of Ozpin’s arms. Yellow blood sprayed out from the stump.

“Lying to me has lost you any shot at mercy.” Nera slammed the hilt of her blade into Ozpin’s snout, caving it in. His yellow blood sprayed out of his face. The gazelle reeled back, bleeding all over the floor. Nera slowly stepped closer, a twisted grin on her face. She stabbed her katana through Ozpin’s thigh. The gazelle’s screams were music to her ears. She silenced the symphony with a quick slash to his throat. Ozpin gurgled and choked on his own blood. His body crumpled to the ground. The gazelle’s corpse retreated into a yellow candy core. Nera stomped on the core, pressing it on the ground. She ground her footpaw against the core, making it crack under the pressure. “The empress will decide your fate.” She stomped hard, crushing the candy core, making the shards dissipate into the air.

Nera calmed her aura back to her usual demeanor. Her red eyes turned blue. She stepped up to Millicent and hovered her hands over the golden retriever’s wounds. Nera focused her ki to heal up her client. Soon all of her physical wounds were cleared up. Millicent hugged Nera hard with what little strength she had.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Millicent cried in her arms while nuzzling into Nera’s soft breasts. “He forced me to write stories for him while blowing all of the money on partying with his friends. I didn’t even want this apartment!” She cried and hugged Nera even tighter. Nera comforted her, rubbing the dogs back while humming a gentle tune.

“Let’s get you something to eat. What is your favorite food?”

“Sushi.” Millicent said.

Nera smiled. “Mine too!” Nera pulled out her holophone and dialed up “Sushi Jun”, a sushi restaurant off planet on Princepi 9. A twenty tentacled cephalopod answered the call.

“Welcome to Sushi Jun. Can I take your order?”

“We’ll have two sushi ships. Anything special you want Millicent?” asked Nera.

“Barbeque eel sashimi and a dragon roll.”

“Hehe, make that a double of the eel and dragon roll.”

“Coming right up.” said the chef. As the multi-tentacled being prepped the meal, a charge for two thousand seven hundred claws appeared. Nera moaned as Neige wiggled her way out of the folf’s sheath and flew through the hologram to pay for the meal. She was coated in Nera’s sweaty cock musk. Neige took a nice deep breath of herself and started licking away at her fluffy black fur. Soon after, two giant spaceships covered in sushi teleported into the room. Millicent’s eyes lit up as she gazed at the beautiful sushi platter. Nera licked her lips and prepared her chopsticks.

“Let’s dig in!” Nera said.

Millicent gobbled down roll after roll, doing what she could to pace herself against her ravenous hunger. Nera took her time eating, letting Millicent eat as much as she wanted. The golden retriever ate one and a half ships worth of sushi, rubbing her nice round full stomach.

“Feeling better?” Nera asked.

“Much better.” Millicent said.

“Are you ready to tell me what happened in more detail?”

Millicent nodded. “My writing skills landed me an invitation to live in SilverVale. I was excited to have my work recognized. My boyfriend only thought about the money. He kept me locked away, writing all of his horrible ideas while he ran off to parties fucking everything in sight.”

“Holy shit.” Nera said“Hope he’s an ex-boyfriend now.”

“Oh yeah totally. He’s dead to me now. I pray that the empress shows him no mercy.”

Nera and Millicent chatted about their love lives for the rest of the visit. They found comfort in each other that neither had experienced before. After some laughing, crying and hugging, the time was up.

“I’ll be back once a month to check in on you.” Nera said. “If you need me sooner, send me a ping and I will do my best to see you.”

Millicent gave her a big hug. “Thank you again Nera. I don’t know what I would have done without you.”

“I’m happy to help. It’s what I was bred for.”

They shared one more hug before Nera went back to the street level. With her assignments for the day completed, Nera took a well-deserved break and went off to do some shopping. She went to her favorite store, “Knot Topic”. It carried a wide array of gothic and emo apparel that was quite erotic and catered to canines and canine lovers. She picked up some cute band tees and miniskirts for her days off. She also found some nice enamel pins of her favorite animated shows. Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw someone familiar, a pale phantom that disappeared the moment it came into view. She was tense for a moment but eventually shrugged it off. After paying for her items, Nera went three doors down and got some strawberry ice cream from “Mimi’s Creamery”. They always have the highest quality frozen treats. Nera dreamed of opening her own ice cream shop. For now, she had to settle for her S.P.A.W.S. job to pay the bills.

Nera happily skipped down the street, her half-eaten treat in one hand and shopping bags in the other. The city streets were filled with beings from all walks of life. A boisterous lighting strike thundered through the air. The sound caused the pedestrians to tense up. Nera’s tail started wagging. The footfalls of a giant monster shook the ground beneath her. The citizens ran away screaming as Nera sized up her opponent. She finished off her ice cream and set her bags down.

The massive stomping reptile roared a sound that made Nera’s blood run cold. Good. Fear was useful. It was a bipedal creature similar to a tyrannosaurus rex with a  plethora of genetic modifications. It had neck frills, a spiked tail and horns on its head. Nera summoned her katana and waited for the perfect moment to strike.

Once the beast was in position, she drew her blade and launched herself at the kaiju. Nera took a deep breath and exhaled ice all over the monster’s legs to lock it into place. She then launched herself high above the creature and came down on it with a thunderous force. In one strike, she beheaded the monster, causing its body to crumble and dissipate into nothing but dust.

Nera sheathed her weapon and sent it back to her inventory. The crowd of civilians cheered and applauded Nera’s work. She gave a humble smile and wave in response. A red and blue dot in the sky broke the sound barrier as it flew closer to Nera. Her ear twitched to the familiar sound. She turned and looked up at her friend Kavara dressed in tight spandex. She was a grey wolf with fiery red hair in a blue body suit with red gloves, boots and miniskirt. On her chest was a magical circle with a triangle in the center and a flame in the triangle. Her voice was boisterous and jubilant.

“Well done ice princess! Good to see that S.P.A.W.S. are on their toes. Ahhhhahahahaha!”

A civilian points at Kavara. “Look! It’s Pyrowitch!”

The citizens flocked to Kavara and Nera. Seeing two protectors meet like this was a treat for sure. Nera smiled and bowed to Pyrowitch.

“S.P.A.W.S. agents live to serve the people. As long as your interests align with the safety of the public, you will find us to be powerful allies.”

“I fear the day that we would become enemies.” Kavara punched her own palm, creating an explosion that made a deafening shockwave. “What do you say to a little exhibition? Some light sparring in the name of glorious friendship!”

Nera grinned from ear to ear. “That sounds-” A wave of nausea washed over Nera, causing her legs to buckle. She caught herself and managed to stay on her feet. Images of Stella writhing in pain flashed in Nera’s mind. She shook off the sensation and returned to the moment. “That sounds fun but I have work to complete. Excuse me.” Nera primes her capsule and tosses it on the ground, hopping onto her hoverbike the moment it materialized. Nera flew off into the sky outside of her jurisdiction to sector six, the home of Fossil Fumes.

Chapter 3

Stella woke up in a luscious valley filled with soft purple grass. As her mind came back to her, she recognized this place. Everyday she came here. Everyday she transformed. Stella felt her hips. The usual muscular tissue was soft and round. Her long canine snout was now short and stubby. Her pointed ears became long and floppy. Even her long luxurious tail was reduced to a stubby cotton ball. She was a mochibun through and through. The only features she kept of her original body was her long black hair with a streak of purple along with her natural fur pattern. It made her look as though she wore long black gloves and socks. Stella rubbed the stars on her shoulders. She looked up at the night sky and saw a whole different set of stars than what she would see on Eris. This planet was so new, it didn’t even have a name yet. That was the prize of the game, naming rights.

Stella knew she had to rush to base and pick up her gear. She wouldn’t last too long naked. Stella burrowed deep into the ground, making her way into the network of underground tunnels that wove around the entire planet. It was relatively safer there but since everyone else believed that as well, conflict was inevitable.

As Stella dug deeper and deeper, she wiggled into one of the main tunnels that spanned the globe. The sounds of combat echoed from all sides. She pressed on towards her base, hoping to avoid an early fight. A mochibun her size jumped out in front of her, wielding a dagger. He swung wildly at Stella. She dodged every strike. Stella caught his arm and snapped it like a twig, claiming ownership of the knife. She stabbed him in the chest, causing his physical form to collapse into a blue candy core. Stella swallowed the core and pressed on toward her base. The sounds of combat got louder. Soon Stella was witness to an all out brawl. The buns were flying about in the air, getting knocked around by their peers. Stella slashed her way through the crowd, taking out the weakened and the distracted. She added more to her army with each core swallowed. Stella wouldn’t be able to give a single command until she reached her throne.

Stella turned the corner and was face to face with a bun wielding a minigun. As the barrel spun up, Stella dove for cover. One of the bullets nailed her in the thigh. She yelped in pain and held her thigh to staunch the bleeding. The bun with the gun laughed maniacally as he stepped closer. Stella used the dagger to pry the bullet out of her thigh. She then spat on the wound to jumpstart the healing process. The bun’s laughing stopped and so did the bullets. Stella hopped out with her knife ready to throw. The bun with the minigun slowly fell apart into two pieces. Behind him was a pale mochibun with a black diamond on her chest. Her eyes were gaunt and cheerful. She wielded a katana covered in pink blood. She eyed Stella with a mischievous grin. The pale mochibun giggled and ran off. Stella was shaken but steeled herself to press on.

Stella dashed her way to the base. She slapped her hand on the biorecognition pad. It took a small DNA sample and opened the door. Stella slipped inside and the lights turned on. She grinned at the clone army and the overwhelming arsenal awaiting her command. The clones saluted her and spoke in unison.

“What is your pleasure, my mistress?”

Stella jumped high into the air and landed on her throne. Her neck connected to the HiveNet hardline. Stella’s pupils turned into hearts.

“Attack.”

***

Back on Eris, Nera landed before the Fossil Fumes headquarters. It was a massive twisting  vibrant pink skyscraper. Two steam stacks poked out from the top, pumping out a pink haze. Nera stepped up to the door where two armed dinosaur guards decked out in pink armor stood watch.

“Halt!” the guard said. “This is private property. What business do you have here?”

Nera flashed her S.P.A.W.S. badge. “I have reason to believe a citizen is in distress within the building. I humbly request access to confirm.”

“Itinerary.”

“This is not a part of my route. I am deeply connected with the citizen, and can sense she is here and that she is in pain.”

The guard snorted. “So what? We’re supposed to let you in because your friend stubbed her toe. Get real. Access denied.”

Nera grumbled. “Oh sugar.” She slumped against the building. Her eyes were drawn to a tall flamingo bouncing towards her. She wore a sky blue cheerleader outfit with the words “Fossil Fumes” stretched across her bouncing chest. She carried a dozen shopping bags in her bendy arms. As she passed Nera, the flamingo sniffed the air. She took a step back, leaned in toward Nera and took a deep breath.

“You smell like Stella!” the flamingo said.

Nera perked up. “You know Stella Estrella?”

“For like, three hours but it feels like we have been best friends for eons. How do you know her?”

“I met her off-planet during my training. She fell from orbit and crashed in front of my tent. I nursed her back to health and we have been friends ever since.”

“Oh! So basically what I am doing now!” The flamingo stretched out her hand. “My name is Taffi!”

Nera shook Taffi’s hand. “Nera Shiva”

“I can take you up to see Stella if you want.”

Nera’s tail wagged. “Oh yes please!”

Taffi stepped up to the guards. “Hey Phink! Hey Phonk. I have a guest coming in with me. Both guards got on one knee and tilted their head down with one arm at eye level and parallel to the ground.”

“Yes Ms.Wrex!” They said in unison.

“Ugh, I told you to call me Taffi.”

One guard spoke up. “Apologies Ms.Wrex but we are under strict orders from your grandmother.”

“When this company is mine, that will be the first thing to go.”

The guards spoke in unison again. “We look forward to your reign Ms.Wrex.”

Taffi giggled and beckoned Nera closer. “Come on! Let’s go check in on our friend.”

Taffi led Nera into a chaotic lobby filled with multicolored birds in pink outfits with sky blue accents. They flew and sprinted about with samples and experiments in their wings and beaks. They were all on a different frequency from most citizens as they happily slammed into each other. Despite the chaos, none of them got too close to Taffi. A toucan flapped up to Taffi.

“Howdy Taffi!” the toucan said.

“Hey Tutu! What’ve you got for me?”

“Electrostatic bubblegum. You chew it, blow a bubble and the bubble attracts whatever the user wants! We have been using it to clean lint off clothes and block bullets!” Tutu showed a hologram of a test subject chewing gum, blowing a bubble, the bubble detached from their lips and started sparking with electricity. A minigun fired several rounds that were stopped in their tracks by the bubble.

Taffi clapped her hands together. “Amazing! The security and fashion teams will get a kick out of that. Let’s test it as a dating aid. Attract your type with a single blow.”

“Genius! We’ll get testing right away.” Tutu flew off as a parrot flew in.

“Taffi! Darling! Here is the new alloy for the security team.” the parrot said.

“Let’s test it out!” Taffi wound up her arm and struck the plate with a punch that dented the metal which soon popped back into place. “Perfect! Paint it pink and put it out! Thanks Perry!”

“Of course my sweet!” They kissed each other on both cheeks. Perry flew away and a stork flew up.

“Taffi!” squawked the stork. “The breeding program is running at a hundred and twenty-five percent efficiency. We’re knocking the empire’s quotas out of the park!”

“Take thirty percent of what revenue is over the quota to expand the program. They will start raising quotas one day and I want to get ahead of it.”

“Right away Taffi!” The stork flew off into the gaggle of birds. Taffi led Nera to a glass tube that interlocked with a series of shifting and bending tubes that stretched throughout the building. A warm voice spoke from the tube.

“What is your destination?” The tube asked.

“Infirmary.” Taffi said.

The tube sucked up their bodies and sent Taffi and Nera flying through the building past several sections of research and development. All manner of wacky inventions were on display as they made their way to the infirmary. It seemed to mostly be multipurpose consumables. Nera and Taffi landed in the infirmary. It was a calm scene with a slight echo. Taffi stepped up to the front desk where a hen was sitting on her eggs and reading a magazine. The hen spoke with her beak buried in the book.

“Stella is in bay zero.” said the hen. “From what I understand, her recovery is going quite well.”

“That’s wonderful!” Taffi said. “Thanks Henrietta!” Taffi and Nera walked down the hallway to bay zero where Stella floated in some sort of egg-shaped recovery pod. She was surrounded by a thick pink liquid that moved around her like fluid in a lava lamp. Nera put a hand on the glass.

“What’s this thing?” Nera asked.

Taffi cleared her throat. “Introducing the cutting edge in medical technology, the 3GG Mark one or ‘egg pod’. By using a cocktail of bobabird essences and that of our reptilian ancestors, it revitalizes the mind, body and spirit while leaving you smelling like pink lemonade!”

“How long has she been in there?”

“About two hours. The pod should be done shortly. When she’s finished with her business on The Otherside, she’ll be good as new.”

***

On The Otherside, Stella commanded a massive army that tore through the unnamed planet. Her brutal forces had expanded well beyond her base and established three smaller bases close to the frontline. She was the commander, logistics and manufacturing manager all in one. Her mind raced with the responsibilities of war. Buns dug trenches, mined minerals, fought on the ground and flew high in the sky with their wing augmentations. A timer appeared in her view, signaling the end of her time on The Otherside. Stella pushed her army to claim as much territory as possible, blasting and bombing their way through the planet. As the buzzer went off, Stella had claimed five times the territory she started with. She hoped next time she would wake up in a friendly zone. Her mind zipped out of her mochibun body and back to Eris.

Stella’s eyes bolted open. Her vision was tinted pink by the sweet goo surrounding her. It allowed Stella to breathe and eat at the same time. She calmly floated in the viscous liquid and eyed her two friends smiling at her. Stella grinned until Teresa Wrex came into the room, floating in on a hoverchair. The dinosaur spoke with Stella’s friends. The pod kept the sound from Stella’s ears. Nera’s eyes widened and Taffi grinned. Teresa gestured for them to leave her alone with Stella. Nera came close to the glass and put a hand on it. She looked Stella in the eye and clearly mouthed the words “Good luck”. She turned and started walking out of the room and looked back one last time before the door closed in front of her.

Teresa grimaced at Stella and pressed a button on the pod. The pink goo around the canine drained, leaving her dripping wet at the bottom of the cold metal pod. The pod door opened. Teresa leaned in.

“You owe me a shitload of money.” Teresa said. “Let’s see if you’re worth your trouble.”

The goo slowly dripped down Stella’s body and down the drain. Soon she was completely dry and her fur was as smooth as silk. She was naked.

“Got any clothes?” Stella asked.

“Yeah.” Teresa aimed a hand cannon at Stella. “Hold still.” Teresa pulled the trigger and blasted Stella with a purple goop that spread across her body. It morphed into a body suit similar to her previous stealth suit but much sexier, showing off her long thick muscular legs in a pair of fishnets. Her shoulders were bare, showing off her black stars. “This is a significant upgrade from your previous suit. The stealth feature should fool all but the most perceptive opponents. The material is a symbiote that can take a twenty kiloton blast before dispersing. It will still hurt like hell but should keep you in one piece. Next, you’ll need a proper weapon.”

Teresa pressed a button on her chair and a tube containing a pair of black gauntlets with four smooth orbs on the backs of them. The orbs formed the shape of a diamond. Sharp obsidian claws sparkled on the fingertips. The knuckles had obsidian pyramids on them. “These are the Dimotech obsidian gauntlets Mark one. The form of obsidian used has a durability ten times harder than diamond while maintaining its legendary sharpness.” The tube opened up and the gauntlets became a black mist that coalesced around Stella’s hands, sizing themselves to fit comfortably. They weighed her arms down. “Try to lift your hands into your basic stance. The gyroscope and gravity aid have to be calibrated.”

Stella strained to lift her hands into a standard karate stance. After a few seconds of holding her stance, the gloves felt weightless. Stella turned away from Teresa and bounced around, jabbing and throwing combinations. Each strike crackled with electricity. Her stronger strikes created thunderous booms that echoed throughout the room.

“I have one more gift for you.” Teresa said. She pressed a button on her chair and a hawk in a labcoat wearing an eyepatch walked in with a tray full of syringes. Each syringe had a vibrant fluid of a different color and varied in size. “Only one of these shots is mandatory for working with us. The other two I highly recommend if you want to survive the test.”

Stella chuckled. “I’m no stranger to drugs as long as I know what I’m taking.”

The hawk picked up the pink syringe. “This is the mandatory shot.” said the hawk. “It will connect you with The Gaggle. This is the bobabird version of the mochibun HiveNet. The main difference is that where the HiveNet instills control, The Gaggle encourages chaos. It also creates an unbreakable encryption by making every member of The Gaggle know a tiny piece of the communications between members. This way, nobody knows the full story of any conversation save the beings who engaged in it but if every single member of The Gaggle decided to release information, it would get out.” The hawk injected Stella with the pink fluid. Stella’s pupils played an animation of an egg hatching and a bird soaring out of it. Her mind became a cacophony of chirps, squawks and coos. The noise became louder and more chaotic before silence. Stella tensed up and let out a loud caw like a crow. Her eyes widened and she blushed a deep pink. “That will happen periodically.” said the hawk. “This next one is a defensive injection. Your skin will be like stone and your bones like steel!”

“Hell yeah! Give me that!” Stella said

The hawk injected the blue liquid into Stella. The canine’s body became denser and heavier. Her skin could still feel the light sensations of the air conditioning and her body siding in the chair. The hawk thrust a knife into Stella’s chest. The blade snapped in half and caused her breast to jiggle.

“Pretty badass.” Stella said.

“Super badass!” the hawk said. “This next one is a power stimulant. It increases your muscle mass and amplifies your ki output.”

Ki is the spiritual energy that every living being possesses. It is used for magick spells, flight, and all manner of special feats.

“No reason to deny a power boost.” Stella said. “Hit me!”

The hawk injected Stella with the red liquid. Her muscles bulged and toned up. Her breath was hot and heavy with power. Electricity crackled around her body. Stella grit her teeth as the power surged around her. Teresa pressed a button and a lightning rod rose from the ground. Stella harnessed her ki and shot a bolt at the lightning rod. She held the arc for thirty seconds before relaxing.

“Excellent. You’re ready.” Teresa said. “Follow me.” She led Stella to an elevator that took them to floor B10. The doors opened to several birds training and sparring with each other. Many of them used machines for weightlifting and cardio. In a closed room on the far side, two mech suits battled by slicing with laser swords and firing missiles at each other. Teresa led Stella down the hall to a room marked “Quantum Simulator”. The interior was a light pink room with blank walls. In the center, Taffi was doing a series of stretches which soon turned into shadowboxing. Her attacks consisted mainly of kicks. Taffi sang a lovely melody as she got warmed up. Teresa floated closer to Taffi. “Computer. Start simulation one” said Teresa.

The computer’s voice was light and feminine. “Starting simulation one.”

The room flashed and flickered into an office with a beautiful view of the SilverVale skyline. Stella remembered this view the moment Teresa floated behind the pine desk. The T-rex opened a drawer and pulled out a bottle of whiskey. She poured herself a glass and began sipping.

“Stella.” Said Teresa. “We lost a lot of money pumping that product out of your system. Until that debt is paid, your ass is mine. Taffi needs a long-term bodyguard and I need a loyal dog to do some dirty work. You can be both if you can survive three minutes against Taffi. The timer will start when the first punch is thrown. Any questions?”

Stella raised an eyebrow. “You super charged my body to fight your granddaughter?”

“Correct. She is an absolute beast.”

Taffit did a playful growl that turned into a squealing high-pitched giggle.

“What if I lose?” Stella said

“Well you’d probably be dead so I don’t really care.” Teresa said

Taffi radiated an intense aura. It was like being locked in a cage with a wild animal. Stella swallowed air and took her stance. Taffi turned off the intensity and bounced up to Stella.

“I’ll let you get the first hit.” Taffi said.

“You sure about that?” Stella asked.

Taffi smiled. “I want you to hit me as hard as you can.”

“Uh ok. Where?”

Taffi struck a dramatic pose. “Surprise me!”

“Alright then.” Stella hit Taffi in the beak with a mean uppercut. Taffi’s head stretched up and cracked the stone ceiling. The flamingo grabbed her head and groaned.

“Ah! Right in the beak! Dammit!”

“You told me to hit you.”

“Yeah but why the beak?”

“Well I-I’m sorry…”

“No. That’s perfect.” Taffi slammed her knee into Stella’s stomach and stretched it to crash the canine into the wall, creating a massive crater in the stone. Stella doubled over in pain and collapsed to the ground. Taffi stomped on Stella’s skull, cracking the stone floor. “Hey Granny! I thought I said no more cheap toys! Ahahahahahaha!!!!” The ground rumbled.

“Cheap?” Stella said. “I’ll show you cheap you busty, bubblegum, bimbo!” Stella slammed her fist into the ground, shattering the floor and freeing herself from Taffi’s pressure. Taffi flapped up to safety as Stella fell to the offices below. “Get over here!” Stella said as she reached out to Taffi, creating a giant electricity copy of her gauntlet that grappled Taffi and slammed the bird to the ground. Electricity crackled through the ghost hand causing Taffi to screech in pain. The ear-splitting sound forced Stella to let go and protect her ears from the sonic attack.

The room had everything a typical office would have except for the workers. Stella grabbed the copy machine and tossed it at Taffi who stretched to dodge it. Stella tossed cubicle walls, chairs, desks, anything and everything to help close the distance. Taffi kept dodging and the moment Stella got into range, she blasted the canine with a sonic screech. Stella was sent back flying by the pressure wave. She crashed into a cubicle and quickly regained her footing. Taffi slithered on the ground like a snake and sprung up to wrap around Stella’s body. Stella’s joints popped as Taffi squeezed away at the canine’s body. Stella yelped out in pain before flexing her muscles and charging her ki. Electricity crackled and arched all over her body. The sparking forced Taffit to release her opponent.

Taffi bounced away from Stella and clicked her heels together. Taffi’s legs turned into sparkling diamonds that retained most of her flexibility. Taffi wound up a powerful kick that sent Stella flying back to the other side of the room. As she bounced off the wall, Taffi followed up with a sonic screech. Stella dodged the center of the sound attack while protecting her ears.

Taffi screeched again and again, forcing Stella to rush all along the room. Stella turned on her cloaking device and settled down behind a pile of damaged cubicle walls. Taffi moved closer and closer, clacking her beak and sniffing the air to try and zero in on Stella. Taffi’s head snapped back and crashed into a pile of busted office supplies. Stella gripped the flamingo’s body and delivered a devastating electric shock. Taffi’s head sprung to Stella’s face and hit her with a point blank sonic screech that sent Stella back up to Teresa’s office. Teresa was still at her desk sipping at her whisky. Stella got behind Teresa and kept her eyes locked on the hole in the ground.

“Using me as a shield huh?” Teresa said.

“Might as well if you’re gonna sit here.” Stella said.

Teresa took another sip. “Resourceful but ultimately useless.”

Taffi blasted through the wall with a power screech, ignoring the hole in the floor.

“Using Granny as a shield huh?” Taffi said. “Resourceful but ultimately useless!” Taffi split her head into four copies like a hydra. The four heads harmonized, creating a directional pressure wave that blew Stella out of the window and left Teresa unharmed.

Stella spun like a ragdoll and skipped off the roof of a skyscraper before tumbling toward the ground. Taffi flew in like a jet and stretched her body into a trampoline, slingshotting Stella into the sky. Taffi flew above Stella, gripped the sides of two buildings, stretched up far above the rooftops and smashed her heels into Stella’s spine. Stella came down like a missile, cratering the ground, uprooting the pavement and knocking down several buildings with the impact.

Taffi fluttered down to the street and inflated her body with a deep breath. She blew a powerful wind that cleared the dust cloud created by the strike. Taffi looked around and couldn’t find any trace of Stella. The ground rumbled and Stella sprung up from the planet’s crust. She struck Taffi with a supercharged electric uppercut that sent her head flying up well beyond the skyscrapers. The moment the flamingo’s feet left the ground, Stella grabbed Taffi by the ankles and held her taut body a moment before bringing her down with enough force to splatter Taffi’s pink body on the pavement.

Stella huffed and puffed and hoped it was over. The puddle of pink liquid that made up Taffi’s body slowly congealed into her resting physical form. Taffi peeled herself off the pavement and shook her head until her crossed eyes locked straight. A sickeningly sweet giggle turned into an unhinged cackle. Taffi used twenty seconds of fight time laughing in a boisterous echo that made Stella’s cells shiver.

“Finally!” screeched Taffi. She rocketed towards Stella and dropkicked her in the skull, eliciting a visceral crack. Stella’s neck snapped and spun so hard it would make an owl say ouch. Her body stumbled yet stayed standing despite being disconnected from her brain. “You’re quite the specimen Stella Estrella.” Taffi circled Stella’s trembling body. “Look at you! Medically decapitated and still standing!” Taffi gave Stella a big round of applause. “When I’m in my pod, I need a bodyguard to keep me safe. When I’m out, I need a playmate! A partner. A punching bag.” Taffi threw a jab at Stella and the canine’s arm blocked it. “You’re a beast of pure instinct! We’re birds of a feather and we’ll definitely flock together at least until you repay that debt.” Taffi bounced around and looked Stella in the eye. “So tell me. How do you feel right now?”

Stella’s jaw twitched. “T-this… is… the most electrifying moment of my life!”

Taffi screeched in joy. Her voice shattered all of the glass in a city block. “Yeeees! Yeeeeeees!!! We are going to have oh soooo much fun together!” Taffi curled up around Stella and ran her tongue all along the canine’s broken neck. Her saliva sparkled as Stella’s neck snapped and contorted back into place. Stella felt her body to confirm her connections were all correct. She jabbed the air a few times and lowered into a primal stance.

“How much time do we have left?” Stella asked.

Taffi bounced in her fighting stance. “Thirty seconds.”

“Let’s rock.”

***

The moment the doors closed behind Nera, she went into labor. She barely had time to worry about Stella waiting in the pod for her fight. Her insides ached and cramped. And intense heat washed over her. Her legs wobbled and soon gave out. Taffi sprung into action, morphing into a wheelchair and carrying Nera back to Henrietta. The folf could only whine and groan at this point.

“Nera is about to lay a clutch of eggs.” Taffi said

Henrietta perked up. “Use the teleporter to take her to the maternity ward. I’ll alert them that you’re on the way.”

Nera started saying thank you but was cut off by the pain of a contraction and subsequent expansion. Her belly doubled in size. Taffi held strong and took Nera to the teleporter. In less than a nanosecond, they were in the maternity ward. Bloated birds were wheeled around. Nurses calmly carried clutches of eggs to the incubators. It was a gentle chaos like a lindyhop competition. Nera shrieked in pain as she was wheeled up to the check in desk. A rooster with tan plumage handed Taffi a data orb.

“Connect this with the patient so we can get her medical history.”

Taffi leaned in. “This will collect your medical data. Do you consent to that?”

Nera nodded and yelped. “Y-yes!”

Taffi reached behind Nera’s head and felt the back of her neck to get the HiveNet hardline. She connected the blue tentacle to the orb. The orb pulsed with a soft glow then dinged to indicate it was done collecting data. Nera disconnected from the orb and Taffi handed it back to the rooster.

“Excellent!” said the rooster. “We have a bed ready for you in room number thirty-two thousand seven hundred eighty one.”

Taffi’s eyes glowed pink as she downloaded the route to the room from The Gaggle. “Got it! Thanks Derek.”

Derek shot Taffi finger guns. “Anytime sweetcheeks.”

Taffi wheeled Nera to the elevator. When the lift arrived, they rolled inside and the door closed behind them.

“We’re firing Derek on TooVoosday.” Taffi said.

The elevator doors opened up to a horrific symphony of shrill squawks. Nurses and doctors rushed between the rooms while a single janitor shuffled behind them in a delayed conga line.

Taffi rolled Nera into her room and laid her down on the bed. The room was pristine with the gentle smell of lemon wafting through the air. Soon a stork doctor walked into the room. She was the same one they spoke with in the lobby earlier.

“Good to see you again Samantha.” Taffi said.

“Same to you. I had a feeling you would end up in my care Ms. Shiva.” Nera groaned and tried to smile. “There’s no need to be brave here.” Samantha said. “Relax and let yourself go. It’s ok to show your pain.”

Nera took the doctor’s orders and howled in pain while tensing and writhing about. The stork stretched her neck to lay her head on Nera’s belly and listen in on the eggs. When she did, Nera’s stomach expanded again, smacking the stork and sending her head flying back. Samantha reeled her neck back to its resting length.

“Yep! They’re ready!” Samantha said. “Let’s get you off your back and get gravity to do the work.”

Samantha clattered her beak in a clear pattern that was repeated by beeps from above. A bundle of pink ribbons dropped from above and curled around Nera’s limbs. They hoisted Nera up and rotated her so that her hefty belly pointed downward. A hole in the floor opened up to collect the eggs. Taffi gently petted nera’s head.

“You’re in good hands.” Taffi said. “I’ll be back to check up on you after the fight.” Taffi bounced out of the room, rolling her shoulders.

“Alright Nera, give me a nice big push.” Samantha said.

Nera grunted as she complied, releasing dozens of eggs per second. Eventually Nera was out of eggs and the hole in the floor closed up. Nera huffed and puffed and composed herself. The ribbons lowered Nera down as the bed rose to meet her. She rested a moment before Taffi stepped back into the room carrying a purple candy core in her hands.

“How are you feeling?” Taffi asked.

“A good night’s rest and I’ll be right as rain.” Nera said. She eyed the candy core in Taffi’s hands. “How did the test go?”

Taffi smiled. “Stella passed with flying colors. She lasted with two seconds left on the clock. Her resilience and ferocity won me over. You really have a special friend here.”

“Yeah, she really is.”

Stella’s candy core glowed a bright purple light. It floated up in the air and the light was blocked by Stella’s biomass coalescing around the core. Soon her entire body reformed and gently landed on the floor.

“Looks like I missed the show.” Stella said.

“Don’t worry,” said a disembodied voice in the corner. “I recorded the whole thing.” Neige’s body formed from the shadows. Her black wings flapped to keep her afloat.

“Send me that.” Stella said.

“Certainly!” Neige’s eyes contracted into hearts. Stella’s eyes turned into bells with a red one next to them.

“I’ll be sure to enjoy that later.”

Nera’s eyes glowed blue as a priority message played in her mind. Her consciousness soon came back to the room and she hopped out of bed. “Emergency meeting. I gotta head back to headquarters.” As Nera and Neige left the room, the little black bunny’s eyes turned into coins, signalling that the payment went through for the clutch of eggs.

“Speaking of meetings,” Taffi said. “Granny wants to talk to you in her real office. Alone.”

Chapter 4 (Sneak Peek)

Kavara fought to stay in the sky as a wave of nausea hit her. She was thankful for Nera taking down that giant monster. She only had another minute of power left. When Kavara saw Nera stumble, she knew for certain that Stella was sick with something. Kavara was connected deeply with Nera, Stella and Crystal no matter how far apart they were. Crystal usually kept to herself in a forest somewhere on the light side of the planet. All four of them could feel what Kavara was feeling right now, Nausea, headache, dizziness and a full body ache that yearned for something. Kavara had to stay strong. She was in her Pyrowitch costume and floating in front of hundreds of citizens. Kavara did well to not show a flicker of weakness. A hero like Pyrowitch was a symbol of peace to all who knew her. Compared to weakening that image, this sickness was nothing. Kavara didn’t move an inch as Nera rode off toward Stella. The legendary Pyrowitch had to do a boisterous send off without losing her lunch. She cleared her throat to test her body. All clear.

“Let this be a lesson.” Pyrowitch said. “The peace of our fair planet rests in the hands of all. Every action is a step towards saving the world, no matter how small. If you act with kindness and virtue, you can always stand tall! Ahahahahaha!” That was exactly as much as she could say without voiding her stomach. She struck a powerful pose for the cameras, letting the people bask in her aura. As they did, she swallowed down what tried to come up. Once she had a moment of control, she said the magic words. “Pyronado!!!” And spun like a top, generating a tornado of flame around her before blasting off into the sky. She flew high and far, out of view before darting behind a dumpster in a nearby alley.

Though she wore the costume, Kavara wasn’t Pyrowitch when she was puking her guts out. Superheroes don’t vomit. They are perfect teflon. Unbothered. Unbreakable. The tabloids would have a field day with a picture of her hunched over. Pyrowitch snapped her fingers and changed into Kavara, mild-mannered middle manager for pyrotech. Kavara tossing her cookies behind a dumpster was nothing new. Kavara’s super hero abilities came from a potion cocktail that was intensely addictive. The nausea, headaches, chills and other things were on a timer that she perfectly coordinated most days. Whatever Stella was going through was enough to knock her off balance. She’d have to check in with her at Fossil Fumes ASAP. She already had some business with the CEO. Though, if Nera was on a hoverbike, maybe the train would be fine. No need to rush when help was already on the way right?

As Kavara stumbled out of the gutter, her ears twitched to the distant sound of a mithsteel vault door being carved open. The S.P.A.W.S. radios showed that they were clearly outmatched and waiting on proper backup. Kavara sighed and reached into her cleavage to pull out a tiny vial. She knocked it back and shivered at the magick sparkling through her body. She snapped her fingers and became Pyrowitch. She spun around in circles, thankful for her empty stomach, and flew off into the sky.
