It was nice touching base on Phil again, and it definitely feels like they're setting the stage to bring back the Nemetrix at some point. Especially since Khyber snagged it at the end of S2.

Also, Dr. Animo has easily become one of my favorite B-tier villains. The guy’s persistent, I’ll give him that. I do wonder if he’ll ever actually break out of the Plumber’s prison. XD

A bit of a early heads up, I know you’re planning to take a break from Omniverse for a bit but I highly recommend checking out next season’s theme song whenever you start season 5. Don’t worry, it’s not a spoiler, just explains the theme of the season. You will understand what I mean when you watch it.

The phil thing is like ultimate kevin. Its interesting that ben saw phil lower than kevin during that period, keep in mind ben wanted to go so far as killing Kevin but him seeing phil lower makes me wonder what he really thinks of phil I feel bad for phil but not for whatever is left there. As max said phil got a raw deal but he deserved that

A bit of context with the predator, the original predator that Phil turned into was the predator to Ball Weevil. He had the red net he made from his claws to block the goo. It’s never clear what happened to Phil. but my guess is that he just mutated but his human side mutated the predator side into having a conscious of its own which was too insane for Phil to mentally live through. I know it’s an insane detailed guess that the show never dive into. But it could’ve happened.

Seeing Phil again was nice. I’m glad we got to see what happened to him after he was put back into the Null Void following his forced test run with the Nemetrix. Also, when Max says “I never stopped feeling guilty about trapping him in the Null Void the FIRST time”, he’s referring to the OS season 2 premiere when that originally happened. That was Max’s old partner, and friend, and even though he was doing some fraud work after retirement, Max still hated what happened to Phil because that was his friend. But, whatever Phil may have been, that alternate spider personality has taken over for good, and while reluctantly, I’m glad that Max was quick to accept that. Frankenstrike appearance WWWWWWW. The extended appearance was great, and I love all the extra detail they added compared to his OS design with all the scars and overlapping skin patches. All those auxiliary aliens really got shafted by OS, so I’m very glad OV gave them the respect they deserve. Also really cool seeing Buzzshock (the Nosedeenian/Megawhatt transformation) be used by our present Ben for the first time. We first saw him be used by Ben 10,000 in his debut episode in OS, but not since. I imagine it was probably easy enough for Animo to sneak into the Mt. Rushmore base considering he probably remembered the layout from the prior year when Ben blew the place up (for the FIRST time lol) fighting Animo and the other of the Negative 10. Dr. Animo is so funny to me because he’s such a mainstay villain, but unlike guys like Vilgax, Ghost Freak, the Forever Knights, etc, Animo REALLY just has it out for Ben on a petty level lmao, like it feels like his plans almost always come second to how much he complains that Ben is a thorn in his side. I mean, he was introduced in 1x2 of OS, he’s fought Ben longer than anyone save Vilgax (and Vilgax didn’t even know who Ben was until the season finale), so he’s kind of the OG enemy. Thank God that Pax is gone, but I do find it interesting that Wildvine has the same sort of chillaxed, so-cal voice, almost like they all talk like that.

He got a raw deal and definitely deserved to get sent back to the void. I just dont consider this to be Phil anymore, so when Max said that I viewed it as him saying it to the monster, and accepted that his friend is gone.

Same. It’s a nice conclusion to his and Max’s story... if that’s the last we see of him. I remember that episode, but I figuredbMax should’ve felt guilty for not trying to save Phil after he got sent back during that Nemetrix flashback. If he’d been carrying that guilt since the OS, it feels a little off that he didn’t try harder once he found out Phil was being experimented on. I figured he’d suffered enough by that point. Still, it’s good to know Max never stopped feeling guilty. It adds some nice depth to his character. Great to see Frankenstrike again! I hope they give the same love to Snare-oh, Benwolf, and the other side aliens that got sidelined in the OS. Dr. Animo has truly climbed the ranks for me. He’s just so fun and ridiculously over-the-top. That mutated giraffe caught me so off guard. 🤣 I guess they want all the Wildvines to have that laid-back surfer-stoner vibe. Makes sense... they’re green like the ganja. 🌿🤣

It's sad they couldn't get Robert Patrick aka the T-1000 to voice Phil again like in the OG. But I understand that they probably couldn't afford him again. What you said about Animo reminded me of another villain from my childhood. Technus from Danny Phantom. Like Animo, Technus was a stereotypical mad scientist with an over-the-top goofy personality. But also like Animo, it was easy to forget just how dangerous he really was. Technus had the power to control any type of electronic device with his mind. Even though he was a B-Lister compared to other more powerful villains, he still almost killed the heroes at least a dozen times.

You should and he is. With how similar they are, I imagine that if Animo and Technus ever met they's either become instant best friends or drive each other completely nuts.
