Maskedman

that leaves four enemies left (big brother, bitter gavv sibling, president and her daughter). I also heard that in some way the next episode is going to be AMAZING

The whole thing with "Shouma not thinking it through" with Nyelv's offer, I get he could've rejected Nyelv but as he isn't strong enough himself to stop Bocca, it was the best plan available to take a gamble.. I'm curious what you think what else Shouma could've done better than what Nyelv planned? It's messed up but it makes sense.

Shouma going to Granute World long-term isn’t exactly a win — no snacks, no powers. Even if he managed to beat Bocca, the door’s shut, and if a new threat hits Earth, Lakia and Hanto are on their own. Without Shouma in the human world, Hanto loses his “snack source,” leaving Lakia completely solo. I know that’s thinking a bit far ahead, but Shouma’s power relies on the human world, which he needs if he’s going to keep fighting and protecting people (and Granutes). As for Nyelv, it feels out of character that he didn’t anticipate Bocca’s countermeasure, imo. If Shouma could’ve done anything differently, it would’ve been to confide in his allies before making that choice. He’s done this before with Sachika, so he should know better by now.

I honestly think it felt out of character that Nyelv didn’t anticipate Bocca’s countermeasure. The exploding detonator I can chalk up to him being desperate and not fully thinking it through, but it still sucks he went out that way. I guess Bocca was just that prepared… I agree on the villains. I believe I stated that as one of the weaker aspects of the show in this vide. Can't remember. 😅

Look forward to it. I have a feeling Lango might step in.

I forgot to consider the lack of snacks. Personally I don't think there's any need to consider future threats as the series revolved around granutes and will likely end with that, so a lot of what-if situations are kinda unlikely. (Maybe the movie is doing something else, I haven't been keeping up with info about it, so I have no idea what it's about or if it's even canon to the main series). Shouma could've discussed it with the gang, but it's obvious their reaction likely would've been the same as it was post-operation. Which all just comes back to Shouma rejecting Nyelv's offer. (I just can't see them agreeing with the plan at all).

Anriku

True, in our world the show ends when it ends, but if you put yourself in the characters’ shoes, they don’t know that. A possible future threat would still be something on their minds. I get they were in the moment, but if they had talked it over and still rejected it, at least they could’ve brainstormed other ideas together. Either way, Nyelv shouldn't have been done dirty like that by the writers. 😭

24:54 Bocca mentioned "he put his subordinate to work at the last minute" so likely he had one of them tweak with the self-detonation thing to hit Nyelv instead

Anriku

Yeah, I misread that. 🤣 I thought he was taking about Nylev since he just put him to work.

Anriku

I get what you mean. Unfortunate she struggles in the climax portions of her stories. Which other series did she work on?

Anriku

That’s awesome to hear she’s been leveling up with each series. I’m definitely down to check out her earlier work at some point. Here’s hoping she keeps that upward trend and maybe even reaches Kobayashi’s level someday.
