These two episodes were great showcases for the Water Tribe siblings. Katara wanting to help fits her perfectly, and I really enjoyed Sokka’s training with the swordmaster. But now? All I’m waiting for is Iroh to completely wreck that one Fire Nation soldier. LMAO

Lol the blue spirit was zuko in his mask. You’re thinking of the spirit aang met in the first season. He was abducting people because he was angry about the fire nation burning down a forest. Aang mentioned him as he was chasing katara, the spirits name was hei bai. It was a panda that turned into a 4 legged 2 arm monster when angry

Wait what? I wasn't thinking of the Blue Sprit at all when I was talking about Aang meeting other spirits. Not sure what you're talking about. I brought the Blue Spirit up when I was talking about Katara moonlighting as the Painted Lady.

Yeah but when you were talking about katara’s reasoning for being the painted lady you said “it’s like the blue spirit. But she’s helping directly. The blue spirit was taking people out”.

I wasn’t talking about Aang meeting Zuko as the Blue Spirit. My point was what Zuko was doing while moonlighting as the Blue Spirit, just like Katara is as the Painted Lady. I only brought him up in that context, not as one of the spirits Aang met. I can see how it could be misconstrued since Aang says somethinng along the lines that he met spirits before, but I was more taking in the context that both were moonlighting as someone else. Sorry for any confusion.

I also like how you called out sokka during episode 3. Of him feeling insecure about his place in the group. Sokka has one of my favorite developments in the show

Ah gotcha lol so i misunderstood that. Honestly tho katara is doing the exact opposite of zuko. Katara is helping others as you said. But all zuko ever did was rob from others to help himself and iroh. He fortunately hasn’t killed anyone

No worries. I don’t always convey my thoughts perfectly in the heat of the moment. Exactly, my point is they’re similar in that they’re both moonlighting, but for completely opposite reasons.

This was never said in the series but Master Piandao was actually the one who taught Zuko how to use his dual swords.

“Sokka’s Master “ is definitely a favorite of mine too. To think he started the show as a cocky “warrior”. He’s been putting in the work to improve and this episode really makes Sokka shine.
