Yeah my bad i dropped that lore a bit early. I forgot they mentioned her banishment during these episodes. Zuko’s mom made a deal with ozai. Giving him the poison they used to kill the former firelord in exchange for zuko’s life

Nah remember ozai was going to kill zuko. Zuko’s mom came up with the plan to kill azulon herself. All to protect her precious child

That isn’t what I'm saying. I know it was her plan. They stated it in the episode. Ozai used her as a tool in that moment.. He clearly didnt give two shits that she'd be exiled.

I don’t know all the details about the situation but what if it’s similar to what happened between roku and sozin. Like maybe ozai truly did care for zuko’s mom. But the opportunity was too tempting for him to turn it down. When faced with his dream he dropped that which he loved

The Day of Black Sun is just so good! I love how Sokka put together this whole plan by using everyone’s skills, new inventions, and thinking on his feet. Of course, everyone’s been preparing but he got it all together. One the biggest highlights has to be Zuko redirecting lightning though, for the all the ways of “tea and failure” Iroh taught him, Ozai didn’t see that coming 😏
