I love that Jay’s character is staying consistent, he isn’t just folding back into the group. His goodness was shattered and it’s clear he won’t be changing back without some serious effort. I’m also glad Arin didn’t lose his parents again to the soul draining but I wonder if his Spinjitzu will become a problem. It has that streak of darkness so I just feel like something is going to happen. I at least want to see how Rontu reacts to it. Also, I like that Arin’s line was sacrificing Sora. He put up with a lot of Ras’s choices but Arin wasn’t about to hurt his best friend.

I'm starting to wonder if Riyu isn't the Balance reincarnation but rather Arin is due to his darkness and lightness they've been building up.

tbh not bad theories, although I don't think we've ever seen reincarnation in ninjago before. It would be cool to see the balance source dragon reincarnated in some way. I wouldn't hope for it to be Arin though as I like the idea of having a fully fledged non-elemental ninja (even if he's exceptionally skilled with his object spinjitzu), it drives the whole "anyone can be a ninja" thing really well compared to the original series.

yeah you can see their remains in the beginning but the show made it super unclear unfortunately

For future reference, the classic ninja are in their mid/late twenties, nay and Lloyd being slightly younger. the new ninja are around 16-18 iirc
