The Spectacular Spider-Man’s first episode did a great job setting the tone for the series, with strong introductions to a lot of familiar characters.

I can’t wait to see how this show tackles Spider-Man and everything surrounding him.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

Fun fact. Most of the characters we see are all the established Spider-Man specific characters like captain Stacey. Tombstone. This was the best Spider-Man series from 2008. There’s a lot of Raimi influence also

Great to hear. I'm sure I'll recognize a lot of them. Can't wait to see Venom especially.

PEAK Cartoon is finally here Lets fucking go

That actually was the Flint Marko, aka Sandman, although here he is normal. You were thinking of Mac Gargan, who is indeed Scorpion. I’ll just rip that bandaid off now too: Scorpion, along with others like Hobgoblin, Jackal, Hydro-Man, etc were all planned for season 3, but we never got season 3, and that will forever be depressing. The Italian monster guy working under the Big Man is Hammerhead. Another fun fact, The Enforcers, aka Montana, Ox, and Fancy Dan (along with The Big Man, who is basically an entirely different character in this show) were actually the first villains that Spidey ever fought in the comics (alongside Vulture to boot)! Betty Brant was actually Peter’s first ever romantic interest in the comics, and characters like Liz Allen and the other kids at Peter’s school, as well as many of the normal named characters, are comic characters as well.

I did want to point out some stuff in correction but I was afraid it'd be spoilers so I refrained

Only thing I really got wrong was sandman and technically I had that right the first time. Thought I heard Peter call him Mac which is why I switched up. One of the disadvantages of not having subtitles.

KrakenKing

Things like Scorpion I’d say aren’t really spoilers because they never got a chance to exist (save for a direct mention) 😭

By far the best Spider-Man series. Josh Keaton nails his performance as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, not to mention the character arcs, villains, action, etc. I especially love his quips and the comedy in this show.

S1 was amazing! 👏

Sally avril In 616 main universe oeter was in same clique as her in middle school but grew apart when flash joined the friend group

She is also bluebird in the comics

Not to be that guy, but the first supervillain Spidey fought was Chameleon. Vulture was second. Big Man and the Enforcers didn’t show up until #10, after character like Sandman, Doc Ock, etc.
