What a way to start Season 2, man. That Master Planner reveal caught me completely off guard. And now we’ve got Cletus being set up as a villain? Please tell me we actually get him this season and he wasn’t meant for the canceled Season 3. 😭

I’ve got bad news for you bro, the Cletus Cassidy cameo was just a setup for season 3. 😭 Carnage, Scorpion (Mac Gargan), Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley), Hydro-Man (Morris Bench), Jackal (Miles Warren), and even Hobie Brown (Prowler) were all planned for season three and beyond, with all of them appearing in civilian form in season 2 (save for Scorpion, who only got a direct name drop). Miles Warren (the Jackal) is a pretty big villain in Spidey comics was responsible for the infamously convoluted clone saga. It’s pretty evident that the writers wanted to introduce him early on (first episode of th season) in order to eventually do their own clone saga, but it never came to pass. Between his shadiness and experimentation on Kraven in order to test mammalian DNA manipulation, the foundation was clearly there, but alas, no Jackal. Mysterio and Kraven though! Very underrated imo and I enjoy both as villains. Fans are pretty divided on this take on Kraven, but I quite like him just because he’s unique and even more combat capable than before. I also just enjoy Mysterio in general, always have. I find it funny how, when Spidey gets under his skin, you can hear him drop the theatrical voice and whisper snidely in his own voice lol.

I had a feeling this was going to be the case. 😭So unfortunate that it didn't get a S3! :)( Mysterio is a lot of fun, I agree. I dig Kraven has a mutant, tbh. It makes him feel more menacing.
