I’m already digging this series, man. Major Silver Age vibes, great comedy, familiar faces mixed with some new ones. I’m fully on board with this one.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

PS: You might notice the camera angle and video looks a bit different (I feel like I'm glowing orange). I did a full setup overhaul and have been deep in the weeds tweaking camera settings, OBS, render settings, and everything in between. It’s not quite where I want it yet, but I’m actively working on dialing it in and should have things looking much better in the upcoming videos. This side of content creation definitely tests my patience, but we’re getting there 😅

Dude, I love how into this you already are. It gives me high hopes for your reactions to future episodes. I also can't wait to learn which characters you already know and which ones you'll meet for the first time. Since you asked. Kanjar Ro is a Justice League villain who debuted all the way back in the early 60s. In the comics he's a ruthless space pirate / slave trader, so this version is pretty comic accurate. Beatriz da Costa aka Fire is the President of the Brazilian branch of Wayne Enterprises and uses Brazilian Fire Magic to fight crime with the rest of the Justice League.

I think its safe to say you all can tell when I'm into one series more than another, and I believe that shines through here. This was a fantastic start to this series. I can't wait to see all the different characters pop up, man. Pretty cool they kept him comic accurate. Its nice whe shows do that. Fire is... 🔥;) Appreciate your enthusiasm and the info as always dude. 🙏

And I appreciate your appreciation. ;)

Kanjar Ro is a space pirate and slave trader who is an enemy of the Justice League/Green Lantern, traditionally not a very good guy lol. Whichever Blue Beetle originally fought Kanjar Ro and died must’ve have been about three generations prior to Jaime. The first Blue Beetle on Earth was an archaeologist named Dan Garrett, who discovered the Scarab in Egypt. The mantle was then passed down to his apprentice, Ted Kord, a wealthman and scientist. However, the Scarab didn’t accept Kord, so he instead went down the Batman route, utilizing gadgets and vehicles. After him, at some point, the Scarab chose Jaime. Fire (Beatriz da Costa) heads Wayne Enterprises’ Brazilian branch and is a mystical hero, utilizing magical green fire. She is traditional a partner in a duo alongside Ice (Tola Olafsdotter), who uses ice magic. Gentleman Ghost (James “Gentleman Jim” Craddock) was a 19th century English highwayman who was lynched by gunslingers Nighthawk and Cinnamon (past incarnations/lives of Hawkman and Hawkgirl). Their weapons are actually made of Nth Metal and he was their enemy first and foremost. Gorilla Grodd is such a treat in this series, one of my favorites anyway. He’s voiced by John DiMaggio (Rath and many, many other characters). Plastic-Man (voiced by Tom Kenny) might be my favorite hero in this show next to Batman. He’s so funny and his powers are just insane. Just fyi, episodes 12 and 13 of this first season are a two-parter, directly connected to one another, so you should watch those two together.

Wonder who the BB was at the time. We shall never know. 😭 Fire needs to work her magic on me. 🤣 I really hope we see Grodd again. I always enjoyed seeing him in the past. Didn't realize it was DiMaggio but even better! Plastic Man is a vibe so far. He's fun. Can't wait to see him more. Noted on the episodes. I plan to do double-quadruples for this series. We shouldn't have any solo reactions.

I have a vague memory about this one, it’s definitely a fun silver age show! Love the Blue Beetle’s introduction. He’s played by Will Friedle who also plays Ron in Kim Possible.

Gentleman Ghost is a Hawkman villain. Nth metal is a metal from Hawkman’s planet. It has the anti-gravity properties that let him fly, and it can hit intangible things like ghosts.
