This was a really fun episode coming off that AMAZING two-part arc! It’s always a good time when Aquaman shows up, even if he was a little… down this time around 😅

While editing, I caught some dialogue I missed live. From what I’m piecing together, Adam Strange is originally from Earth, but that world became his adoptive home after he fell in love with his wife. Batman mentioning it as his “adoptive home world” makes that even more interesting.

I also completely missed Batman saying the weapon wouldn’t stop unless the sun was blacked out. That raises a wild what-if… what would’ve happened if they hit the weapon with the teleporter instead? Would his wife have been caught in it? That could’ve gone VERY differently.

Just a single episode this time, but we’ll keep it rolling from here.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

PS. Keeping it to a single so we stay sharp and locked in. I’ve been tweaking some behind-the-scenes stuff and handling a few personal things that threw my vibe off a bit, but we’re dialing everything in and moving forward.

Although he's loosely based on an existing character, in terms of design, abilities and motives, Equinox is an original character made for this series, with a unique backstory you will learn when the time is right. Adam Strange's history is a little convoluted, but I'll give you the abridged version. He was originally an archeologist from Earth who was accidentally caught in a Zeta-Beam sent to Earth by Sardath. Sardath meant it to be a communication signal but ended up accidentally inventing a teleporter. While on Rann, Adam met Sardath's daughter Alana and they fell in love. They soon discovered that the Zeta-Beams are temporary, but Sardath started shooting more at Earth and gave Adam a device to tell him when and where they would appear on Earth so they could keep seeing each other. Sardath is a good father / father-in-law. As you stated, Adam is similar to characters like Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon, but he came out much later, in 1958. Also, you've seen the Gordanians before. They were in that flashback episode of Teen Titans. The one that showed how the team was formed.

be good considering he’s deemed a main antagonist in an anthology series. Also, I’ll give some info on the Question, as he got a cameo in this episode and is one of my favorite DC characters: The Question (Vic Sage) was originally a Charleston Comics character before being acquired by DC, much like Ted Kord’s Blue Beetle, Peacemaker, etc (Watchmen’s Rorschach is a parody of the Question). He has no powers, but his intellect and detective skills are up there with Batman and he can throw down in a fight. Question a very intense crime fighter who is incredibly cynical and philosophical, being heavily influenced by objectivist philosophy and Ayn Rand. The Question is a joy in anything that he appears in and I love him (JLU Question my beloved).

Adam Strange is basically the opposite of Superman. Instead of a superpowered alien who comes to Earth to defend it, he's an ordinary (but very intelligent) human who goes to another planet to become its defender.
