Yes, the suit that Etrigan creates for Batman is the suit worn in the comic and movie “Batman: Gotham By Gaslight”, where Bruce actually lives in Victorian London, so this is a very cool cameo appearance. Jay Garrick, another original JSA member and a particularly great Flash, and probably one of the only few who can still fight like they did back in the day, considering the speed force helps balance out the drawbacks of his age. Don’t worry, we’ll be seeing more of Garrick and the other Flashes in the future. Crazy Quilt was a noted painter turned crime lord named Paul Dekker, and is one of Batman’s more goofy enemies from the silver age. Funnily enough, his main rivalry is actually with Robin and he’s one of the few Batman villains to actually despise Robin more than Batman. He has a unique form of color blindness (hence his greyed out eyes) that only allows him to see extremely bright colors, making his vision very disorienting and blindingly vivid. Jason Blood was given immortality through his curse with Etrigan, so he has simply lived throughout the ages and into the present day. Side note, the term “witch” has historically been a unisex word, simply the term for anyone accused of practicing witchcraft. A few of the victims of the Salem witch trials, for example, were men. I do really enjoy how comic universes have the liberty of taking certain fictional characters like Holmes, Watson, Moriarty, etc and making them real historical figures in-universe. This was an incredibly fun episode, and any time Gentleman Jim Craddock is around is a good time. Also, in folklore and fantasy, iron, typically cold iron, is a real weakness of demons that is said to burn their skin on contact and disrupt their abilities.

I assume you were referring to the series 'Moriarty the Patriot', which is a drastic reimaging of the character and not accurate to the source material. In the original Sherlock Holmes stories, and most adaptations, Professor James Moriarty is a straight up villain. The Napoleon of Crime. You probably shouldn't base your knowledge of classic literature off anime. Anyway, Scream Queen is an original character made for this series. She's basically a stand-in for Silver Banshee, who is a Superman villain, and couldn't be used because of stupid corporate policies. The costume Batman wears in this episode is based on the costume from "Gotham by Gaslight", a what-if graphic novel that reimagined Batman in the 1880s. Astaroth is a demon from the Bible. That's probably why his name is familiar. Though I can't say with any certainty whether the Astaroth in this show is based off a character from DC.

My bad, that’s just the only version of Moriarty I really know. Always cool learning more about the original interpretation. Scream Queen is pretty cool OC. Unforunate they couldn't the Superman villain. I had a feeling that outfit was used before. Sort of like how they do Spider Noir, I guess. Definitely want to check that out when it drops. That's probably where I heard the name before since I researched biblical stories to an extent in the past.

You know what? I know that about iron. Its been awhile since I learned that. Very excited to see more Flash, man. That's going to be awesome. Damn. Why does he hate Robin? Can't deal with getting his ass kicked by a kid? 🤣
