Wacky Races in Batman: The Brave and the Bold?! Sounds fun to me! I had NO idea Plastic Man had a sidekick either. 😂 Seeing him pop up caught me completely off guard.

This show really just throws the most random deep-cut DC characters at you and somehow makes it work. Between the Hanna-Barbera vibes and the chaotic humor, it fits perfectly with the tone of Brave and the Bold.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

Blockbuster is a real villain who has been adapted many different ways at this point, most usually Mark Desmond, who is usually an adult scientist that is manipulated by his brother, or transforms as a last resort. He’s a pretty cut and dry dumb brute villain whose strength and durability make him a very destructive force, hence the name “Blockbuster”. Young Justice, for example, had him be a result of Project Cadmus, a conspiracy plot that’s been done a few times now in Young Justice, the DCAU, etc. Woozy Winks is a really funny sidekick lol, so random. Plastic Man and his sphere in generally are just really silly and fun. He was going to be part of the planned DCAU Plastic Man show, but alas it was cancelled (also why Plas never appeared in the DCAU, save for a name drop suggesting he was just off-screen), leaving him almost entirely in the realm of comics. The Joker fish was a reference to one of BTAS’s greatest episodes, “The Laughing Fish”, which has been referenced in numerous shows and comics since. I love the Wacky Races and Hanna Barbera feel of this episode. I’m a HB connoisseur myself, I’ve seen everything from them, so this just made me very happy to watch. I wonder if Darkseid knows that his uncle is racing around and fighting people on War World. 😂

If you're referring to the Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show, Woozy wasn't in that one. In that show, Plastic Man's sidekick was a stereotypical Polynesian man named Hula-Hula. Why they didn't just use Woozy, I'll never know.
