Drifting Cloudymon

Proganomon gets it’s name from Proganochelys the genus name for an extinct species of turtles. Pyramidimon gets its name from Pyramidion which are the capstones at the top of pyramids and obelisk. Its rookie form while not named in the episode has been around since 2020, Sunarizamom from suna the Japanese word for sand and rizardo the Japanese accent way of saying lizard, so sand lizard mon basically. This whole evolution line was first used in the web comic Digimon Liberator with a very different character as Sunarizamon’s partner. Also I’m pretty certain Monodramon’s ultimate, Azhdramon, is its normal evolution. It just went berserk for not being ready to handle that kind of power, similar to how Gekkomon went berserk a couple of times before. Rhamphomon is also a virus type already too so that wouldn’t be a factor either. Murasamemon/Cougarmon and Chiropmon/NightChiropmon are also virus types too. A digimon being virus type doesn’t make it inherently evil. Many people were also expecting Murasamemon to go mega in this episode since a new TCG starter deck is coming out soon based around Glowing Dawn, meaning all of their evolutions are probably gonna to be revealed when it releases so beware of spoilers next month. In fact Murasamemon’s mega was already shown on an official digimon stream to promote the deck.

I'm glad you caught on to the fact the doctor in the flashback had Tomoro's last name, I feel like a couple of reactors have missed that. I personally think it's not his dad, since we saw his dad in the flashbacks before, and he didn't look like that guy, so a lot of fans think he could be Tomoro's grandpa. Whether he is or not is still unknown, but it's starting to make sense why Tomoro's parents were arrested. Also, we're really seeing how evil Wong is now, especially using refugees as lab experiments, let alone causing a million disappearances from that incident.

Oh shit, I forgot we saw his dad.. when did they say their parents were arrested? Definitely seems like Gramps might still be out there working for the World Union. I can't wait for this to get even deeper. They definitely made it clear that Wong is the villain here. Curious to see if there'll be someone beyond him.

That’s honestly fair, my brain just goes there. Coming from Digimon Adventure, Tai forcing that evolution kinda trained me to see any intense moment and go “oh no… this is about to go WRONG.” Digimon Adventure 02 didn’t lean on it as much, but it’s still in the back of my mind. But yeah—not every high-emotion evolution is a dark digivolution. Some are real, some are fake-outs, and some just look like SkullGreymon vibes without actually being that. Still makes every moment tense though, which I kinda love

I think it was episode 11, when Tomoro explained to Reina and Makoto on the bus to visit his brother in the hospital that both his parents were arrested out of nowhere and never came back, causing Asuka to raise Tomoro.

Seems that way. Makes sense considering the power they hold, right?
