It was really cool seeing more of Ted Kord, and now I’m wondering… are we getting another Batman and Booster team-up in S3? Because Batman definitely seems more accepting of him now. 👀

The “Madniks” are in-show name for the Madmen, otherwise they’re those exact villains and are indeed enemies of Blue Beetle. The first Blue Beetle (on Earth) was Dan Garrett, Ted Kord’s mentor. He was an archaeologist who found the Scarab in Egypt and used its powers to fight crime. Ted Kord’s Blue Beetle and Booster Gold are actually consistently best friends in the comics and other media, often partnering up and getting into antics together. I appreciate them getting an episode together, especially with Booster caring so deeply for Ted.

My headcanon is that they couldn't use the name Mademen because of the tv show with the same name.

That makes sense to me. I wouldn't be surprised. I think I knew this about them, but forgot about it at one point. Probably read about their friendship in passing. I'd love to dive more into comics, but it's daunting. XD
