klay's partner was in its ultimate form when it was fighting monarchlizamon. it reached mega last episode, but murasamemon managed to devolve it back down to ultimate before kyo got cold hearted. so monarchlizamon hasnt taken out a mega (yet) also the next three episodes are apparently gonna be a bit of a filler break before jumping into the next arc, according to what's been said on twitter. good to calm down after the finale of the tactics arc I suppose

This was a great way to end the Tactics arc! And with that, it seems like we're halfway through the series. At least as far as we know, since it was said this anime will have at least 48 episodes. I can't wait to see Reina and Makoto get their Ultimate levels too. I'm glad you noticed the crescent moon on Monarchlizamon, it's a reference to Gekkomon's name, which means "moonlight" in Japanese, hence the crescent moon on Gekkomon's forehead. Proganomon, Klay's Digimon, is also an Ultimate btw. His mega was Pyramidimon from the previous episode that Murasamemon defeated. I think Hotaruko and Granit are going to be a Cleaner duo since he's going to be living with her and likely her family. On a final note, it's already been announced that the next three episodes will be "interlude" aka breather episodes, so the next arc will start after them. So don't expect a lot of major plot development just yet.

MonarchLizamon is probably a play on how Tyrannosaurus Rex means Tyrant Lizard King, MonarchLizamon is just an ultimate so not quite a king but similar as a Monarch and definitely not a tyrant. As someone else pointed out Gekko is Japanese for moonlight but also sounds like the English word for the lizard Gecko, many fans think the mega will be a dual wielding samurai named Tsukuyomimon after the Japanese Shinto god of the moon Tsukuyomi since an Amaterasumon was already revealed for a recent VPet and the TCG set. Personally I hope it’s more music based like Tomoro, maybe dual wield giant drum sticks as weapons like the kind used for a Taiko drum but used as weapons like escrima sticks Daredevil and Nightwing are sometimes depicted using in media.

One other thing, the next three episodes are implied to not be part of the next arc but I wouldn’t call them filler episodes just yet because they showed on Twitter the silhouettes of the characters involved in the second and third episodes, both human and Digimon, and they’re clearly characters people are interested in seeing again to put it without going into too much detail.
