Time to jump back into the main plot next episode, but this was a nice little breather to cap things off. I really liked the subtle horror vibes here.

Drifting Cloudymon

That wasn’t actually Palmon in the end but a Alraumon, yeah it’s basically just Palmon with a darker color scheme so I don’t blame you for the mixup especially since this is the first time it’s being used in the anime despite being a around for decades. Also the other girl in the ending with the shadow digimon, Shademon, is Haruka who was in the episodes for Chiropmon evolving into NightChiropmon for the first time. If you’re interested in seeing more of Ghostmon and Elizamon they both are featured partners in the web comic/novel Digimon Liberator. Mummymon isn’t Ghostmon’s ultimate level since it’s not a ghost digimon to work with it’s deck but I think you would really like Ghostmon’s new mega, and yes Mummymon has always looked like that with a giant gun. It even has a name, Obelisk.

I love Mummymon, he's such a classic! Not only was he a recurring villain in Digimon 02, but he also appeared in the previous series, Digimon Ghost Game, as well. They were pretty unhinged there too. This episode is pretty much what almost every episode of Digimon Ghost Game was like. Creepy, a bit unsettling, and honestly, you feel for the Digimon sometimes too.

I think I saw that Palmon variant before. Cool to see it here. I totally forgot about Haruka and Shademon. Guess they're coming back. I'm looking forward to the Digimon TCG client coming out. Does that have anything to do with Liberator?

Anriku

He was the partner of the spider lady Digimon in 02 right?

ClownofGod

Yep! He was in love with her (Arukenimon), and she basically thought he was annoying and dumb.

Drifting Cloudymon

Yes the new TCG client takes place in the same setting as a kind of a season 2 of the story, meaning the story of Alysion makes more sense if you read Liberator first.

Anriku

I guess I need to read the comics now. :(

Anriku

That's it. Now I remember.
