I like how Wakana wears her driver backwards, as she can wear it in plain sight and not look like a weirdo with a toy belt.

"Skullman" is a common reference throughout the entire Kamen Rider series. "Skullman" was the first superhero created by Kamen Rider creator Shotaro Ishinomori. Skullman ended up being the prototype for Kamen Rider ultimately when Toei changed it from Skull to Grasshopper (but you can still see the skull motiff in all the helmets). If you've played the Street Fighter EX series, Skullomania is a reference to both Skullman and Kamen Rider.

Ah and Shotaro is also named Shotaro in honor of series inventor Shotaro Ishinomori.

Wakana ends up being one of my favorite characters in the season. I personally like the entire dynamic within and outside of the Sonozaki family. They are a way deeper crime family than the Stomach (the stomachs having a lot of wasted potential). W does the villains well, but where Gavv went well was in developing the hero team dynamic.

Fuuto translates to "Windy City", hence all the wind and windmills. Think the Buddhist gods like Fuujin (wind), Sujin (water), Raijin/Raiden (thunder)

Damn these Over-Time subs for not translating the Akiko flip flop joke. It's such a fun long gag in every episode

the masquerade dopants I think are the weakest dopants in W, they are more of the helping monsters, like the bell people in Gozyuger and fish heads in Shinkenger. I still think you should wait till after the next 2 episodes, but your mind is set and I will have to deal with it. I think you should watch the decade part anyway; there are parts in the 3rd part that will make some more sense if you watch it
