The debut of Catwoman and Red Claw in BTAS did not disappoint! This was such a fun pair of episode, and the chemistry between Batman and Catwoman is already unmatched. I honestly can’t wait to see how her character evolves throughout the series and where that dynamic goes next.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

Selena isn’t actually normally blonde, instead typically having very short cut, black hair. The blonde hair, really leaning into the cat motif, and a few other things were done at behest of the network in order to synergize with Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman from Batman Returns. In one of the more canon tie-in comics though, it’s revealed that she is simply dying her hair blonde, a clever way for the writers to get around the movie synergy that they weren’t big fans of. BTAS was Red Claw’s debut as a character and she has not shown up in anything since, so you can guess what viewer reception of her was like lol. Otherwise, maybe my thoughts on these episodes are a little two harsh. I do enjoy the chemistry between Bruce and Selena, and she’s a fun character. Red Claw is also pretty fine looking if I do say so myself. “I haven’t felt this way in a long, long time.” Oh boy, I can’t wait until we learn more about that. 😅

While I do enjoy these episodes, I sadly don't have much to say about them. They're good for what they are, but they don't make my Top 10, or even my Top 20. Red Claw seems more like a James Bond villain than a Batman villain, I can see why they didn't use her much.

KrakenKing

Agreed. In my personal episode tier list, I rank this two parter as three stars/C at best.

JD Dumas

I think it warrants at least a C+

KrakenKing

I put it roughly around the upper-middle. The only Catwoman episode which I think is better is Catwalk, and even that I only ranked as C+.

It's a B at this point for me due to Red Claw being shit. XD Though, I need to see all the episodes to eventually do a tier list. (Probably will need help remembering it all though. XD)

Anriku

Yeah.. Looking back on it, Red Claw is the weakest link in this episode.

KrakenKing

That would be a fun little project for the end of the series. You could compare it to my own for reference too.
