We finally hit the Raimon High vs. The Genesis final match, and it definitely lived up to the build-up. The payoff for everything we've been tracking all season felt completely earned, and it was great seeing all those storylines finally unfold on the pitch.

But it leaves us in an interesting spot. There are still 3 episodes left in Season 2.... I wonder what happens next.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

Everything regading Fubuki's arc in this season was done so well. The moment where he finally accepts himself and realizes he is not alone is a top 3 inazuma eleven moment for me. And I LOVE the symbolism with the scarf. Plus Wolf Legend is such a sick shot.

I see your point that it can feel anti-climatic that Genesis are just humans who trained hard against teams powered up by the meteorite but I also kinda like it that it's not just a copy of the Zeus match all over again plus it fits with the pot analogy the two strongest teams fighting it out to see who is truly the strongest. But I can see both sides this is a pretty polarizing twist.

This match was really great I love how it felt like Genesis and Raimon are pretty equal everytime the Genesis scored, Raimon scored soon after. Season 2 has so many great moments.

Fares

Top 3 matches in the series

Anriku

Such a cool character. Glad he was able to find his place.

I get the annoyance about the whole training thing. I like that it wasn’t a copy of season 1 plot. I think the whole point was that he was trying to create an army of superpowered humans, and he owns the meteorite so he would have a monopoly on it. When it comes to Raimon’s strength, they underestimated them and there was still a gap between the two teams. As for not using gods aqua, the radiation from the crystal provides a far larger power increase. But Genesis, Diamond Dust and Prominence did not use the Alius/Aliea stone, they trained with teams that did use it, in order for their strength to evolve naturally instead of being boosted by the stone. Godric Wyles improved the system in order to give his Dark Emperors a boost greater than the natural improvement of training against the previous superhumans and solved the energy issue by making them hold the shards, which gave that superior energy, so they wouldn't have to recharge.

38:48 so basically let me try and explain this and it has to do partly with the brain but what he is saying is mostly true in realistic terms; We as humans irl have tiny receptors that sit inside the tendons (Golgi Tendon Organs) where your muscles attach to your bones. They measure the physical tension placed on the tendon. If the force gets too high, they send a rapid signal to the spinal cord to relax the muscle. This reflex is called autogenic inhibition, and it helps prevent the tendon from ripping right off the bone. So in basic terms we as humans irl have limiters to stop us from using our full strength which would rip apart our bone structure, tissues, tendons, muscles etc, the only way those limiters for us get released is when we get a adrenaline boost, which is why people after adrenaline suddenly feel pain and shit. The only major difference from IRL and here is the power gap obviously, if your limiters somehow get removed you arent gonna be running at Mach 0.5 lmao.
