Honestly, it might not be a direct reference, but all I could think about when Makoto mentioned wanting to ride upon (dragon form) Shen's backside, as a means of travel, it gave me serious "Neverending Story" vibes cause of Falkor the Luck Dragon! Lol Can't blame him though, if I got sent to another world, I would absolutely make it a life goal to soar thru the skies on the back of a dragon!

...it does pique my interest to wonder what Makoto would look like if forcibly transformed into a dragon via 80-20 contract, if his and Shen's roles were reversed... I bet it'd be dope with black scales and all!

One series (Slime) has an all-powerful dragon become obsessed with anime/manga, effectively an otaku, while another series (Tsukimichi) makes an all-powerful dragon pursue the path of samurai out of love for japanese historical dramas... Isekai MCs be influencing other worlds' too much! XD

Look, it may be weird enough to say this, but for some reason, hearing you talk about voice actors (Emma's in this show) brings me joy... maybe it's cause you don't do it super often cause you're typically engrossed in other matters lol

Sounds like Makoto needs to traverse world boundaries & meet up with Rimuru to receive tips/tricks to building a city made up of "monsters" (aka demi-humans) that plans to live in peaceful coexistence, then find Rudy to study under him to make good use of his aptitude for water-based magic! ...and then find Seiya or Kazuma to learn the proper ways to abuse a "high and mighty" goddess! Lol

K, was worried if I would like Shen, but really liking her character. I actually enjoyed this episode a little more myself. Solid series so far for me. I'm also really curious if we will se him level up, hes level 1. Wait maybe because his hero's role was taken by the goddess he can't level up? Idk, that kind of doesn't make sense because of other orcs were talking of higher levels like they know of the concept.

Makoto's may be "cheat-like," and in many regards, it is very much so (thanks Tsukuyomi), but the fact a hard restriction was placed that prevents him from healing himself (plus he has basically 0 aptitude for healing magic itself too), but still able to heal others without the use of mana means... it's a weird battle of attrition, where he can't restore the damage he receives so he has to be extra careful or fight behind others!

It's more like "Slime" harem, if you can call slime harem anime or if you don't count Slime as harem then this isn't either...

Um, I believe you've confused "sadist" (enjoys inflicting pain) with "masochist" (enjoys pains) but I bet it was a simple "meant this, said that" situation as funny as it is XD Same thing with the "wind arrow" ("Wind" Bow & Arrow) that you commented on, though it was water-based, as Makoto did mention he couldn't even make a Wind Brid lol

Once more, it is shown that pissing off Makoto's not the best course of action as an enemy, especially as he grows more confident & knowledge about his abilities... this man's definitely hiding something that lets him snap & disregard the safety of others, that's for sure! (OST for the scene was fucking fantastic too, helps set the mood & make you go "what the fuck's gonna happen?!") Lol
