Those Poor Soldiers who got murked by the AH1 Attack Helicopter inside the Gate, they were shredded to Pieces. Here is a Picture that shows how Dangerous there Bullets are: https://freeimage.host/i/RlJ0iu Left Bullet is a 12,7mm, like you find them used in American M2 Machine Gun, or Snipers like the M82. The Bullet on the Right besides that is a 20mm, like its used in the M61 Vulcan Gatling Gun or the AH1s M197 Gatling Gun. The M197 for example has a Fire Rate of 1500 Shots/Minute, so as you mentioned, they were literally mowed down.

Told ya. If you had any doubts before watching this episode, I'm sure they are gone now. :) Also, there were a couple of Apocalypse Now references. Apoclypse Now is a famous 1979 war movie based on Vietnam. The JSDF commander at the beginning of the episode mentioned LT. Killgore, who is a villain in the movie. And the scene when Ride of the Valkyries played, is a direct reference to the movie, as it had the same scene in it

Grey's last name is Co Aldo, it's similar but not the same as Pina's

Jake Thompson

Pina was worried that after wiping out the bandits, the JSDF could have easily killed or captured her and her knights (seeing as they're part of the Empire, who are enemies with the JSDF on Alnus) and the town wouldn't even bat an eye.
