Norikos Appearance and all is a bit different in the Anime, because when Noriko is first introduced in the Manga and Light Novel, she was naked while in the Anime she wears a tattered dress. In Chapter 37, it is stated that this abduction took place in the early summer before the Battle of Ginza. The captives were split up and sold; the men were sent to mines, while Noriko was made a sex slave. She was made a slave of Zorzal El Caesar and regularly raped and beaten. She apparently learned the language of the Empire during her captivity because she was able to speak to Zorzal Picture from the Manga that shows how she was held as a Slave and even was used as a Sex Slave: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/gate-thus-the-jsdf-fought-there/images/2/28/Untitfegg.png/revision/latest?cb=20180116093808

All my homies hate the prince. The anime had to tone down how much of a shitbag he is.
