Another AMAZING episode from this series, my goodness! It never ceases to surprise me with how subtly they introduce new elements. I am excited for Bojji's journey! What are your thoughts on this episode? This is easily anime of the season for me as far as 'new' series go, but even might be AotS for me even including sequels. It's just that good!

I think because of our bias towards Bojji that the queen has been put in a much more negative light than necessary. It seems more like she's very protective of him, and wants him to not be king in order to keep him safe. She sees his deafness and lack of traditional strength as disadvantages that would put him in incredible danger if he was king (seeing what kings have to do in this world definitely makes the raw strength feat more appealing). Her denial of his inheritance is more out of misguided pity than any real malice.

Yep, I agree. I say this in the video iirc. She is protective. She is still harsh sometimes but she definitely cares. She isn't trying to hurt him.
