Another enjoyable and fun episode of Megumin's spin-off! Komekko is too precious, man. It looks like it's time for some adventures outside of the school? Lets go!

Chomusuke wasn't in the season 1 indeed, because they only got 10 episodes and had to delete and skip many things, nobody ever thought the project's gonna be a hit back in time xd So they retconned it and brought her back in S2 in a bland way like "it's called Chomusuke, can I keep it?" Maybe the idea of their chuuni delusion bugs you, but here the author put it very clearly Chomusuke is indeed, at least a Dark God related creature. Komekko unsealed the puzzle so she released her xd. That actually explains why in the main series Aqua and her could never get along and Aqua keeps calling her Dark God or something like that.

I thought so. I remember her popping up out of nowhere. I guess that was S2 like you said. Wait, no. The chuuni delusion doesn't bug me. I find it funny. Case in point. I love it enough that I was unsure if this was part of it or not. Pretty sure I mention Chomusuke could have came from the seal, but idr. XD Anyway, I appreciate the clarification.

I think they're hinting that the Dark God that was unsealed is the cat. Not sure though x)

You're right. I just thought it was their chunibyo nonsense still, but it's real this time.
