At long last, it's here!

I was working all night trying to finish this thing up -- I will say, having to really crunch in the editing room actually helped me sharpen my skills a lot. I'm already excited to use all the efficiency techniques I've practiced in future videos.

But anyway, not to digress: The black women in girly games video is complete and on Youtube for your viewing pleasure! Huge shoutout to anyone who wrote to me with advice and resources when putting this together, it really helped a lot. I hope the final product lives up to expectations.

For anyone wondering where the patronichi little fellas are in the background, don't worry, they'll be back next time. Since the topic of this video is a little more serious than what I normally make, I didn't want to overly self promote my patreon/ko-fi. But everyone who supports me is in the credits, as always!

Next up, we have two videos that need to be made - the march video for mini-mini-mini golf, which does have a script that is halfway done, and the art for all the trash idols. Then I get to make some games! holy moly!!!

I will not be around on Monday much to check up on things, I'm off on another quest to the dentist, but you'll hear from me again very soon. In the meantime, here's the sign-off joke!

Q: Why do photons never bring bags to the airport?

A: They always travel light

The black women who make (and leave) girly games

👀racists and weirdos in the comments get blocked! don't try it!!! 💖Black women in (girly) games playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmRgQYwZoB94zJ6uiy3d5yR1X_A7jtqlS 📝Complete list of credits, references, and sources used for this video: https://pastebin.com/3K61ZBVU *Summary for the algorithm* It is impossible not to notice the discrepancy between the black women who enthusiastically participate in girly games, and the emptiness of the industry that makes them. in this video, I'm introducing viewers to the work of 6 women who have directly impacted how I think, talk about, and make cute and girly games, and question if the industry is actually taking the correct steps to welcome black players and creators into game development (spoiler: we're not) 💖If you are black and have an additional point, correction, suggestion, or develop girly games, please share in the comments! I am going through periodically and pinning the good ones so everyone can see. 💖And if anyone is excited by the work/people mentioned in the video, they are all (afaik) still alive and on the internet, so take some time to show them appreciation and support directly! 💖Thank you to my patreon/kofi supporters, and to all the commenters who made suggestions and gave me some great resources while I was writing this. I hope this video lives up to your expectations, and to make more in the future exploring different identities within the girly game space.
