i personally feel like this was an amazing album. every song was perfect imo. my favorites are kitchen, my turn & diamond boy. BUT i don’t blame yall for not feeling it that much. this shouldn’t have been a SOS deluxe. making a deluxe caused people to have a certain preconceived notion about what they wanted to hear, and rightfully so. this should’ve been a completely different album in a completely different era of her musical career.

ehhh love yall but i feel like yall need to relisten with a more open mind, seems like the sound wasn’t what yall were expecting so you seemed kind of closed off for most of the review. idk. and you mentioned the lyrics were weak? maybe a relisten with lyrics visible ?

Lol thinking the same woman that dropped good days two years before SOS and took over 3 years between CTRL and SOS dropped this project just for a tour is a crazy take 😂 if anything she’s consistent. I personally loved this project. I don’t think it can be compared to SOS because it feels so much part of the same story line. To me it’s like watching the directors cut or extending version of your favorite movie!

Honestly I think yall didn’t like it because yall went into it with thinking of it being exactly as SOS when she said that Lana is completely different from SOS but it still has the same feeling of SOS which is why she chose those songs for the deluxe … sos talks about her being through rough relationships and etc meanwhile she describes LANA as her healing and getting through those rough patches of life and that’s why the second part of the album is titled LANA idk I think it was a good lead up for a deluxe ❤️

The Deluxe is nothing but leftover tracks that didn’t make the cut for SOS. She’s exiting a certain era and giving fans just the music til her actual album. You have to appreciate the tracks for what they are but I actually like most of the new songs 🙌🏾

Lol I was waiting on Chill baby to come on and it changed Smoove's opinion a little lol at least yall seemed to like that song but I love the album, it's only 5 songs I don't like and I love me some SZA but Scorsese baby daddy is a no for me, even gave it chances and still a no. Not my style. Same with Kitchen but it grew on me. I kinda like it now. Sounds like a Christmas song. Not a fan of the interlude although its grown on me. No more hiding and Another life aren't horrible but kind of mid, wont add to playlist. My top 5, not gonna count Saturn: What do I do 30 for 30 Diamond boy Crybaby Drive Also love My turn and Chill baby, top 5 material. My turn reminds me of Kehlani's song F&MU it starts off the same, the beat sounds similar. Chill baby is so fire, literally a vibe and chill song. BMF is dope too. The album might grow on y'all though who knows.

So to me this is her healing album. If you listen Kendrick album before hers it's a crash out album. So yeah I crashed out but now let me heal real quick. I actually love the album with the mindset of her healing from past trauma and heartbreak. This to me is her taking me to another world it's a journey that most won't get, and that's okay.
