Thank you thank you thank you 😀 fun facts RAYE wrote Born Again around 2021 she writes under her real name Rachel Keen & the song was intended for her own album the one polydor her label promised her but then never released, RAYE had kind of a mini breakdown rant re her label on social media around that time where she played a demo of the song to thosecwho were online at the time and shortly before cutting ties with polydor so the song rights belonged to & stayed with her old label its just sat on a shelf for 4yrs then they recently sold the song to Lisa's label for her own upcoming debut solo album which is released soon, however when Lisa found out about the back story she contacted RAYE to see if she wanted to be involved, RAYE said yes & has co produced this track for Lisa so will now get credits for it & Doja also has writing credits on this updated collab version probably around her own verse which is different to the original but may be more too, the hook, melody, slap bass funk line though are all RAYE & the rest is pretty much the same as the demo, RAYE co produced this with Andrew Wells she started to get into production during lockdown I'd really love you to react to some of her older tracks to see how things evolved, watch her BBC Radio 1 Weekend Dance mashup I think you'll llike it, RAYE has done other Pop songs before like Love of your life, Natalie dont you should react to them too as it's a side if her you haven't seen yet

Born Again is now going viral, what RAYE lacked before not having a label was exposure on a mass scale, this sound old school influenced Pop/Funk/Disco (similar in some ways to Dua Lipa or in parts the Weeknd, MJ etc) & the connection with Lisa who I now know is part of Blackpink the biggest KPop girl group in the world who have all been releasing solo projects like Lisa's band mate Rose & Bruno with Apt introduces her to a whole new audience and vice versa, I'm talking millions not just thousands , it's catchy, it's radio friendly, it's already hitting hard on youtube Spotify & other platforms, Doja being part of it too just enhances that further, they all came with their A game, this has Women power & mass appeal, the strut is going to become iconic its already trending on tiktok and it showcases their individual unique talents & is good for all 3 in similar but also different ways , it's great music, great strategy and a great totally unexpected collab

The song/video is really about Women empowerment, celebrating influential often misunderstood women throughtout history part 1 Marie antoinette part 2 the women persecuted during the salem witch trials people think Doja is dressed as a nun she isnt she's dressed as a pilgrim, women burned at the steak because they were wrongly judged to be witches, part 3 Eve original sin in this she doesn't bite the apple tree is upside down clock goes backwards at the start, born again, lots of imagery, references, ends with the three in white, ethereal, goddess like, shielded, warriors, stronger, born again, also more basic man/woman theme & messages to men in their past & also the future if you'd treated me well, been a believer in us, personally invested more & stepped up to the plate every single night I would have shown you my appreciation & we could have made heavenly music together you don't know what you missed out on & it's too late now bye

Found some more info on youtube about the video posted by enews13, subliminal messages in the edit , just before each part, there was a date and GPS coordinates that quickly flashes up uou only see if you pause the video frame by frame then you see : Part I - date: mdcclxxiv (1774), location: Versailles (France) - Death of Louis XV and accession of Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette. Part II - date: mdcxci (1691), place: Salem (US, Massachusetts) - Witch trials. Part III - no date, location: in the Persian Gulf - The Garden of Eden Part IV - date: mcmxxxix (1939), Location: New York - in 1939, the theme of the New York World's Fair was "The World of Tomorrow", and Eleanor, the First Lady of the United States, gave a speech in support of women's rights and international peace. Part V - date: mcdxxix (1429), place: Orléans (France) - Joan of Arc

RAYE is nominated as Best R&B act at this year's Brit Awards you can watch the live show here on 1.3.25, the stream has a 30 min delay, only a few of the acts performing have been announced so far, more to come not clear whether RAYE will be amongst them I'm guessing probably not as she performed last year but it's possible https://youtube.com/@brits?feature=shared
