Oh man, this is the album that came out right after his incident with Rihanna! A lot of mixed reviews back then. It's definitely a nice album, but personally my least favorite out of his catalog. F.A.M.E comes out after this one, and that's still in my top favorite 3-5 albums of his entire discography.

Y'all have 2 run this album back & give it another chance. It came out after the 09 incident so it may not hit like the albums coming after this as far as bangers. However, emotionally, this was where he pushed himself 2 be vulnerable & let out what he was going through @ that time in a beautiful way. Lucky Me & Fallin Down the best examples. Is this the album I go back 2 the least? Yes but it's still appreciated. You may grow 2 like some of the songs you skipped later Trey & Smoove!

Sing like me is about him getting them alone in the bedroom. How in that moment, they hitting notes he would in the studio but 4 a VERY diff reason. Y'all not vibing had you miss that by not catching it via the lyrics. & What I Do is MY 1st skip honestly. It's aight imo & doesn't touch me musically. & Trey since you still don't know bout Tank frfr; gone head & react 2 his Sex Love & Pain next! It's an inspo album of Breezy's & why they have 3-4 collabs b/w then & now. Maybe more. IYA & Pass Out, Gf, & For Ur Love are my next personal skips. I feel what he was trying 2 accomplish there, he succeeded with Yeah 3x on FAME. & that's still one of my least fave songs but better than those 4. Wait is like Sexy on Indigo. Chris & Trey could've done w/o making those songs imo. I don't mess with them like that. & he was with Karrueche when he cheated on her with Rihanna after the restraining order was lifted post the incident. Being in love with both women, he left Kae 2 go back 2 Rih but that only lasted a few months; not long @ all. I feel the reconciliation was more so for the closure because again; it didn't last long. When they broke it off permanently, he was off & on with Kae until she left him 4 good after the news regarding Royalty got out.

Honestly… this is Chris worst album overall and yall as fans know it too! He was so depressed and vulnerable doing this time and the music reflected it. Calling Trey & Smoove stupid for not liking this album is insane🤣. Even his early mixtapes are 1000% better than this album. Yall as fans gotta call a spade a spade. As a fan i wanted them to skip this album bc of how underwhelming it is😭

Straight up, this album was made to try and save his image after the Rihanna incident, and when it didn’t do it, he went to making music he enjoyed and not for the radio since he wasn’t gonna win them over again. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Y'all need to review Chris's mixtape, In My Zone 1 & 2. It was way better. Chris didn't pick the songs on this album; he had limited creative control. The mixtape will redeem him. P.S. I like this album, I like EDM, and the parties were different. This is an era piece for sure.
