This is just an update to say I'm opening commissions this month. The base price is $70 as usual for a single character, and it goes up from there depending on how NSFW, more characters, etc.

It's been a while since I opened comms and I wanted to give people on patreon ample time to contact me first before I post this on twitter. If you can't send a message here on patreon, then twitter or bluesky is fine too!

Well, I hope to exceed your expectations in this round of commissions! The rest of the post is just a patreon update.

In other news, the contest that I entered Bushiball in released their top picks and I didn't make it. I'm not crushed, though. I learned a lot about what goes into a contest and the level of polish and quality they expect from an artist that deserves to win.

I was rather naive to think that raw sketched manga stood a chance, but I also think Bushiball has too many problems with it anyways even if I inked it fully. I think it moves way too fast, doesn't spend enough time on cool moments, and overall could use more time between the brothers. Even though I planned for it to be 30 pages to begin with and it seems like a 30 page oneshot is way hard to do than a longer one.

The next chapter of Galknights is coming along great, I've got to take advantage of every burst of energy and get it done before summer officially ends on the 22nd or so. I think I will have it done this week.

Finally, I'm working on big pictures, to go with old art that I'll be posting publically. I've been taking my oldest patreon images and posting them for everyone to see, but I want to draw new patreon art to go with it so Supporters get a blast from the past as well as new art. We'll see how this style of updating works.

Better that you entered and tried your best than not having done it at all. As long as you felt like you've learned something from your experience you can always apply that knowledge for future projects and attempts.

Thank you, you're definitely right. I'm not crushed about losing or anything, this was just to calibrate my expectations since its the first contest I entered for real. I definitely improved since working on that and hopefully it shows up in my sketches.

Good on your efforts. No matter what, everything is a learning experience.
