Hi my lovelies!!

I picked up some new cheap paper from Amazon the other day and wanted to share my first test with you.

Work-in-Progress: New Paper Test

Today’s WIP is all about testing out some inexpensive paper. I got it for just $4.99 for 20 sheets of 9x12" and $4.99 for 90 sheets of 4x6". Such a good deal, right?

After taking a weekend break and watching This Writing Desk short video, I felt inspired to paint a few trees (because you know I can never resist trees! 🌲). I played around with different colors, but I really wanted to see how the paper handled water.

If you want to try some here are the links:

Conclusion:

While the paper's sizing seemed a little lacking, especially when layering washes, I actually really liked it overall. It didn’t spread as smoothly as I expected on the second wash, but it’s still great for practice. I’m going to keep using it and experimenting with it. For the price, it’s definitely a solid choice for practice work and experimenting with new ideas!

Let me know what you think, and if you’ve tried any budget papers like this, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
