Hey everyone! 👋

In Part 2 of this creative journey, I decided to take a big risk and experiment with oil sticks on my enlarged canvas print. After realizing that scaling up my original 5x7 oil painting to 18x24 lost some of the delicate details and texture, I knew I had to get a little… unconventional. 😅

And after staring at the last piece for over a month with no motivation to do anything else, I completely changed it up as you saw in the youtube video last week! So here is the full video just for you!

Oil sticks let me bring back depth, richness, and movement—especially in the rocks and foliage. The result? A piece that feels more dynamic and expressive than before! 🎨✨

🔥 What I Learned:✔️ Oil sticks add a bold, impasto-like texture that regular prints lack.✔️ They blend beautifully but require a light touch to keep details intact.✔️ This process made me rethink how I create prints—maybe more mixed media in the future? 🤔

What do you think? Would you try this technique to revive a print that didn’t turn out as expected? Let’s chat in the comments! ⬇️

Wow! The transformation is beautiful. Love the textures. I want to try the Breyer with watercolor for abstraction. Oil pastels would be my choice. Love it.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad it inspired you! The brayer is such a fun tool to play with—especially for loosening up. And yes, pairing it with watercolor and oil pastels can open up so many creative doors. I’d love to see what you create if you give it a go! I’m so happy to have you here!
