🌲🎨 New Demo Kuretake First Impressions

This one's a moody little river scene framed with evergreens, painted using the Kuretake Japanese watercolors. I have to say, the richness in the blues and greens are really pretty—especially that blue in the water... wow!

That said, I’m still not 100% sold on how these paints handle. I used them on the new Canson XL but I think the paper sizing might be throwing things off a bit. I’ll be testing them again on Arches or Strathmore to see if they behave differently.

Have any of you tried these paints? Let me know if you’ve had similar results or tips for using them!

Happy painting!—Kellie 💛
