Have you ever tried painting on black watercolor paper? This was actually my first time — and I wasn’t sure what to expect!

Normally, we start with white paper and build up shadows and depth, but with black paper... everything flips. You’re painting the light instead of the dark, and it completely changes how you see your colors. Here is the Legion Black Paper Link! They do have some other sizes.

In my newest YouTube video, I’m experimenting with black watercolor paper to see how metallic and opaque paints behave — where they shine, and where they surprise me.It’s not a polished “how-to,” but more of a creative play session and learning experience that I thought you’d enjoy joining me for.

If you’ve ever been curious about trying something new, this might give you the nudge to experiment right alongside me.

Can’t wait to hear what you think!
