I played some more this weekend and took our 5 Minute Friday fun and added a few options!

We’re painting these easy beginner-friendly watercolor butterflies (AKA ButterDragons) using just a few simple steps. No complicated sketching, no pressure for perfection… just letting watercolor move and do its thing.

In this tutorial, we’ll chat about:• creating wing shapes with clean water first• dropping in vibrant color without overmixing• keeping your butterflies loose and expressive• adding sparkle and finishing details• turning simple paintings into handmade cards

I also talk a bit about learning to let go with watercolor and why these tiny little paintings can be such a joyful creative exercise.

This is the early ad-free version before it heads to YouTube later on.
