Today we're going to do something a little different. This isn't about creating a finished painting, learning a new technique, or getting everything perfect. This is just a little watercolor playtime.

Sometimes we spend so much time trying to make something good that we forget to simply enjoy making something.

So grab your paints, your water, and a piece of paper. We're going to start with a simple circle and see where the watercolor takes us.

Looks like this strategy could be used to make the transparent “bells” of an octopus. But it is cool just as a breathing exercise.

Yes that would be perfect! When I did my lobster I took this approach with slowly dropping in colors.

My sweet Kelsie…it is sad that a man of such great talent cannot continue his God given talent😢 His brushes truly are a piece of art and Lynda Norman told me about them last year and I purchased 3 of them and they are absolutely so versatile when placing paint on our paper 🤗 It is so important to have good watercolour paper (have had Arches like you forever) good brushes and paints. I love my Lebenzon brushes and I am praying over Tracy & family for strength peace during this time of difficulty and I can well relate at this time in my life with my sweetie💞 thanks My sweet Kellie for your God gifted talents 🙏 you truly inspire me to get into my art room and rattle those brushes of mine 😂🎨 God bless you and take care of each other💞💖 Gramma Donna 🙏❣️

Aww, thank you so much, Gramma Donna. ❤️ Your message touched my heart. I'm so glad you were able to get a few of Tracy's brushes—they really are special, and you can feel the care and craftsmanship that went into making each one. You're so right that good paper, brushes, and paints make such a difference, but it's the heart behind the artist that brings them to life. Sending you both love, strength, and a big hug. Thank you for your kindness and encouragement—it truly means so much to me. Now go rattle those brushes and make something beautiful! 🎨💕
