News #25 - Important Message + Previews (Patreon)

 Hey guys!

This is a very important message so please read it all. I will say what I’m planning for the next year.

But, first off, I’m really sorry for this delayed post. I wasn’t lately and generally this year in good mental health. Probably many of you already knew, but I have problems with stress and panic attacks, and at the moment I can’t work as I want to. The best thing for me now is to focus on one game and finish it without any ETA’s.

Milfy Kingdom:

I really wanted to create more for this game this year, but this project is very large and time consuming compared to my previous other projects, that’s why I put this game “On Hold '' for the foreseeable future until I am ready to work on this again. Most probably after finishing Milfy City.

Milfy City:

This should actually be good news for some of you. I’m planning to release a full version of this game next year. Yeah, almost all characters except some that did not have story content at all up to now. I can call it “version 1.0” as it will probably be the completed basic version, maybe I will add something more to it in the future in terms of post game content but time will tell.

Here’s what many of you have wanted and asked for: Some previews of the upcoming full version with many different characters:

( I did not include Judy and Sara content in this.)

Message to all my Patrons:

I just really want to thank you all for all your continued support up to now, but I do want to say a few things. All of you who were my patrons at any point during this year up to now will receive the full version of Milfy City for free. It means that you can stop supporting me if you want to and still receive this update! I’m not forcing anybody to support me or to stop supporting me, it’s all your own choice :)

I’ll work to add sometimes a post with some pictures and information about how the work is going and how much is left to do to keep you all updated as the development goes on.

That’s it for now. I’ll be around to answer a few questions in the comment section so you can add yours if you want to :)

Happy that we finally got an update of sorts, but it does kinda fall short and on deaf ears. Have we heard anything from that community person you hired several months ago? We have had very little in the way of updates and taking forever for any bit of info. I understand depression and anxiety as I struggle myself alot, but we do need to be updated more often on what's going on given how long its been since an update. As your patrons we can understand if we know what's going on, but if we are in the dark then we are left to interpret things how we will and that can lead to worst scenario to where fans move on

I know you get a lot of negative comments on here for delays and stuff, so let me add a positive one. I think it's a very good sign of good will and consumer-friendliness that you're offering the rest of the game for free to any and all supporters. I wish you nothing but the best in dealing with your mental health. We don't know everything going on, obviously, but there has to exist a balance you can negotiate with us by knowing what you're struggling with. Personally, I don't become a patron to anyone thinking they owe me anything, I do it to show tangible support for what they're doing while they're doing it. Milfy City has a cast of gorgeously designed characters brought to life, and you should be proud of how far you've come so far.

Sorry for your troubles. It has been a rough year for many. I do alright and so am willing to continue support, ESPECIALLY in light of the kind of work presented in this post.. but cannot justify support of any significance with little to no progress shared up until this point. Kinda sad how easy people are being stringed and happy. With a more realistic look we have 0.7 far from being done in over 1 year. Thats with him stating he gets exhausted fast working on the old game and thats already with a part of 0.7 done by a hired guy. And now its not only the 0.7 content to finish but also the rest of the content to wrap up a decently and round 1.0 version. Not a single word about broken promise of 0.7 this year. Not a single logic into making a huge update over smaller ones according to his mental background. So even if it sounds harsh, but for me it sounds like playing on time and hoping on miracles whilst preventing more patreon losses.

I have an idea, I have experience in 3D modeling and 3D game design/development. It could be any number of software from character creator, DAZ, Blender, MAYA, 3DS, CINEMA 4D, and a shit ton of others. I wouldn't need to use the exact same software unless it was custom made anyways.

Take note of what happened to Cyberpunk2077 The game investors got impatient with the games release date and pushed the devs to release it way to early and now the game has tons of bugs. You, the investors need to have a bit more patience instead of pushing. And honestly id prefer a large update with loads of content rather than 5 minutes worth of content like other games push out. Plus he did say that anyone with paid support from last year will have access to the update when it rolls out. Im sure yall can afford a $1 per month patreon.

If given images and a story board I could code an entire renpy game like MilfCity in a month flat... How patient should people be? This game has not had an update since December of 2019! Can you go a year in your job with no production, and 8 status reports that promise next month or soon, you'll like what you see? There was a status report that the creator was getting burnt out in this game, and refocusing on something else for some of that time, instead of you know, the game that people are paying for.

And I think I speak for everyone on this, do not start a new game (MK) when you haven't even finished this one. I know its on hold but it seems you've done a lot of work on it already. Its been 1 year and 2 months since the release of 0.6 and no update. You said you got help and have a team of developers but it seems like you used to put out updates even faster by YOURSELF. I am starting to wonder if you can bot those polls or if you can make it so you and some of your buddies have 100x or more the voting power so you can swing the polls in your favor and make what seems to be a very unpopular choice a narrow win. It just seems odd that there are very few voices of support for the delays and second project, even in the poll it was almost all comments saying it was a bad idea. I know some patreons have polls per tier with different weights so that the more you pay the more your vote is worth, which makes me wonder if you can do this to get the outcome you want as a creator but make it seem like you did it for the fans. If people think the majority wanted something, they might be less likely to leave. But then you have to actually produce something and not go a year of pushing the goal post as well.

No, harem route is not available in the current version. Caroline relation points you can get to 5, Linda to 4 and Sara to 3. No, 0.7 release is not happening, he is including the 0.7, 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0 update contents to the 1.0 version. So yes, don't expect the release, I would say, before summer.

Actually it does matter what he thinks. He's the one paying for icstor to produce something. This isn't rocket science. Two years for for a fucking update on a visual novel is clearly ridiculous. Summertime Saga produces nearly an entire game in that amount of time with more fidelity, more characters, original sound design, plot threads, original animation, etc. There is no excuse. If Icstors mental health is that bad for him to do nothing in two years time he needs to close this patreon account. He's taking advantage of good will. It disgusts me. I know people and also deal with mental health issues myself. The idea of weaponizing that to gain money from people turns my blood into a boil. What a crock of shit.

Secret scenes are custom made renders that are made as a reward for level 4 Patrons ($95) following their wishes for that render and then added to the secret gallery as a bonus renders. And to answer your question, no, Icstor does not answer questions or comments here anymore.

Support is voluntarily, the dev has no obligations in Patreon. If you feel you're getting ripped off, cancel the pledge and go on with your life. Ranting about it ain't going to change things, it's just waste of your time.

Renders are the still pictures that these games have. Like the one in the header of this post, or the ones in the secret gallery, or basically anything you see in the game. $95 monthly supporter gets one customized render in a month as a thank you for being that high level supporter. Those customized renders are added to the game as a "secret scenes", that can be found hidden around the map.

The delay in the update is not the only problem. The real big problem is the lack of comunication. Where is ashban the comunity manager? Where are the montly or weekly posts Icstor promised?

ICSTOR Please look after your health first. I know from experience that when you feel bad/upset/etc, your work suffers. I greatly enjoy your work, and would rather wait for you to feel better to continue. I am disabled, and don't have much else I can occupy my time and interests with. If there is any way I can help (proof read or whatever) I would be happy to do that. In the meantime.. do what you gotta do to build on positive energy.

I might be a bit late to join the party but i think your game ICSTOR is one of the best, even in its current state - Solid graphics and a lot of different situations/interactions spiced with some.. not terribly difficult minigames but, i do love them. so i decided to support you :) And i see you have a pretty hard audience (no pun intented). To make a good game takes a lot of time with trials and errors. Don't let those impatient salty people get to you.

I get if you are upset supporting for a long period of time thats a lot of money and thats not something i would do (there were some developers that quit and ran with the money thats the sad truth) i gave a one time support for what the game worth in its current state.. and if he decides to finish it i will probably give a full price for it. If you are giving your hard earn money out to someone you have to be smart about it and you wont get scammed or dissapointed too much.
