Hi all, introducing [CGMZ] Skip Title!

This plugin allows you to skip the title scene entirely. This will either put the player into a new game where you can event your title screen with images and make it truly custom, or you can optionally put the player into their latest save file (if any exists) where they can then load other save files if desired.

Event Your Title

By skipping the title scene and loading into a new game, you will be able to have complete control over your title screen through the use of event commands and plugins that affect the map.

Jump Into The Action

You can also start the player right into the intro cutscene, and then load them into their save files if you want to not have a title screen at all for your game. Below is a gif of how this make look:

Compatibility

This plugin skips the title screen, so will not be compatible with plugins that change the title screen as you will skip past those changes. However, anything that works pre-title such as [CGMZ] Splash Screen or [CGMZ] Press Start will continue to work as expected since those are custom scenes before the title scene. While untested, this should also be true for third party plugins such as if you are using a preloader that loads things before the title scene, etc.

This version adds the option to include the autosave file if it exists when trying to auto-load the latest save. Previously, only manually saved games were eligible. Now you can also load into the autosave if it is the latest save, if the option in the plugin parameters is enabled.

Welcome to the beta release! This plugin allows you to skip the title screen, and provides various options to handle that.

If you are an existing user, this update provides the option to only skip the title screen if a save file can automatically be loaded. If a save file does not exist, it will still put the player at the title screen where they can choose to change options or start a new game (or anything else if using custom title window commands).
