Hi all, introducing [CGMZ] Mouse Cursor!

Custom Cursors

This plugin allows you to show a sprite as the mouse cursor. You can set up and swap between an unlimited amount of different cursors throughout your game. Cursors can have their own image, rotation, opacity, and more. See below gif for how a custom cursor might look:

Full Control

This plugin gives full control over how the cursor looks to the developer at all times. You can swap between different cursors as needed, and even go back to the standard mouse cursor at any time. You might want to use a fantasy wand for most gameplay but a hit marker in some minigame, with this plugin you can do that.

Works in Every Scene

The mouse cursor works in every scene, it is not limited to just the map. It can follow you to battle, show in the title screen, the main menu, and everywhere else.

Input Recognition

This plugin recognizes when the player uses non-touch controls such as a controller and will automatically hide the cursor in those cases. This means it is safe to use this plugin even if your game will be played by gamepad players.

Support

Casper Gaming provides quick support to any user who needs it. You can leave a comment below with your question or issue, I try to check my Patreon at least once a day. For even quicker support, you can come into the Casper Gaming Discord and ask for help in the #support channel.

Roadmap

I plan to expand this plugin by adding more customization options such as animations for your custom cursors. I will also be working on making the cursor have special behavior when certain actions occur, such as clicking, right clicking, etc. I will also be adding some more control over the cursor in scenes where it is not easy to use the plugin command to swap the cursor, such as the menus, so you can set various different cursors in the menu scenes as needed.

Casper Gaming plugins are made better through community suggestions. I am always happy to hear any features you'd like to see added that I may not have thought of already. Please leave any suggestions you have in the comments below, or in the #suggestions channel of the Casper Gaming Discord. I add all suggestions to my to-do list.

Happy RPG Making!

This version fixes an issue with the mouse cursor image sometimes not hiding itself when the real mouse is outside of the game window, leading it to appear stuck.

I also added the option to set the scale of the cursor, so you can make your cursor sprite bigger or smaller without needing to edit your image.

I have also added some cursor sprites to the download, to help you get started with using the plugin. Some of them may need to have a rotation applied in the plugin parameters before they look correct.

This version fixes a few issues with the system cursor displaying when the mouse cursor is set to hide it. These include a brief display of the system cursor during map load, and the cursor showing when the window loses focus. The mouse cursor should now be less aggressive in trying to be the top element, making it more compatible with other plugins that do the same thing.

This update also added the hue property to your cursors, so you can show cursors with different hues without needing to make separate images. This works the same way as the enemy hue in the database does. A blend mode option was also added. See below gif for how these new options can look:
