Hi all, introducing [CGMZ] Scrolling Window!

This simple plugin allows you to create scrolling windows anywhere you want throughout your game, which can display a totally customizable set of text, images, and other elements to the player. You might use this to present quest information before the player accepts, show a license agreement, or any other reason.

Simple Drag & Drop Design

Like all [CGMZ] plugins, the window is designed from multiple text, image, header, and spacing elements which are created in the plugin command when you show the window. Each element can be drawn in any order you want, using the Display Info drag & drop parameter. In the end, each window will be totally unique depending on how you design it. See below gif for one possible configuration of how it can look:

Unlimited Windows

The scrolling window is created by the plugin command, not in the plugin parameters. This means whenever you want to show a different scrolling window, you can just make a new plugin command and design the different scrolling window. There is no limit to how many scrolling windows you can create and show throughout your game.

Integrations

This plugin has integrations with the following [CGMZ] Plugins:

[CGMZ] Scene Backgrounds - Show a custom background for the scrolling window scene, including scrolling images or even weather.

[CGMZ] Controls Window - Show the player the controls for the scene. Controls automatically adjust to keyboard & mouse or gamepad depending on player input, and even works with different gamepad brands (xbox players see xbox controls, playstation players see ps controls).

[CGMZ] Window Settings - Change common window settings for scrolling windows, including padding, windowskin, tone, and more.

[CGMZ] Window Backgrounds - Add a background image to the scrolling window, including animated scrolling parallax images.

Roadmap

I plan to expand this plugin by adding more elements you can draw in your scrolling windows. This could include video elements, line elements, and more. I will also add some presets in case you want to display the same window in multiple locations across your game, so you can design it once and show it anywhere. I would love to hear feedback on which type of feature you are looking forward to most so I know what to prioritize working on ❤️
