Show a Press Start screen before your title with [CGMZ] Press Start. Many configuration options available.

Hi all, [CGMZ] Press Start is ready for Alpha!
This plugin shows a Press Start screen before the title screen, and after any splash screens (if using [CGMZ] Splash Screen). This is a screen which displays a background image, optionally the game title the same as in the title scene, and optionally a Press Start image. The scene will wait here until it detects any "ok" keyboard/gamepad input from the player, or any touch input.
For the Press Start image, you can decide where on the screen it is displayed using a percentage based coordinate system. You can also have a hover effect when the user mouses over the image. This will change the image to a hover image, which can be anything you want, and change back once the user stops hovering their mouse over the image. It looks something like this:
That is about all for now, but I do have some future plans for additional features as this plugin progresses through the Alpha stage. The following are features I hope to implement before beta stage:
1) Allow you to choose which input counts for pressing start2) Integration with [CGMZ] Global Data3) More transition effects
As always, you are encouraged to leave any additional feature suggestions down below, or in my Discord #suggestions channel. You can also leave any support questions down below, send me a direct message, or ask in my discord's #support channel.
Happy RPG Making!
This update allows you to skip the press start screen while playtesting. Enabling this option will still cause the Press Start screen to be seen by your players in the deployed game. For playtests there is not much reason to see the Press Start screen after you have it working how you want it, so this will save you time each time you want to playtest your game.
This version adds a sound effect that can play when the player presses start. It also adds input settings that determine exactly which inputs are accepted by the scene as pressing start. Now you can make your controller players actually need to press the start button to start the game. Of course, you can still set it up to allow any input as it was previously. Options were added for keyboard, controller, and touch input.
This version adds an integration with [CGMZ] Global Data. This integration works with the global Text Data type. To set it up, you will need to fill out both the global data key to check as well as the global data value to compare against.
Since there can now be more than one possible Press Start screen, the old Press Start parameters have been converted to a list type parameter. This is the new Scenes parameter. You will need to reset up your press start screen here if you update from an older version, whether you are using the integration or not.
If you are using the integration, you will want to set up multiple scenes, for each of the different global data scenes you want to have. The plugin will choose the first scene that matches global data criteria (a scene with no global data criteria will always pass this check).
This version adds an option to automatically progress past the Press Start scene even if the player does not do any input after a waiting period defined by you. If set to 0, this waiting period will be infinite and the player must press the start input to progress past the scene as before.
This update also adds compatibility with the [CGMZ] Splash Screen v1.3.0 update. As a result, this plugin no longer has important order requirements when used with [CGMZ] Splash Screen.
This version adds the option to display a background video, which can make your press start screen quite animated. The background video will loop with no volume, please use the BGM parameter for any audio. The video will be shown behind any images, including the background image. You can use this to add an image overlay over your video if you wish. See below gif for how it can look:
This version also fixed a bug with the game title not drawing properly. While I was working on the game title bug, I also decided to make it more resilient in case you use title altering third party plugins. This plugin will now attempt to draw the title using the Scene Title function, and if it encounters an error it will fall back to a safer version of drawing the game title.
