Create unlimited inventories and switch between them with ease. When ready, combine them back into one inventory. View inactive inventories.

! SEE BOTTOM OF POST FOR UPDATES !

Hi all, today we have [CGMZ] Multiple Inventories!

This plugin allows you to create as many inventories as you want, and switch between them at will. The basic flow is to 1) create a new inventory and then 2) switch to that inventory. Your original inventory will retain all its items, but you will now see the new (empty) inventory. As you gain items, they will go to inventory 2. When ready or if needed, you can then 3) combine inventories to combine items from inventory 2 back into inventory 1. Finally, you can remove inventory 2 completely if it will no longer be needed.

Things can also get more complicated, as you can create and switch to an unlimited amount of inventories. Just make sure you keep track of them all!

Since this plugin is still in Alpha, there are some things I want to add to it that were not ready for the initial alpha launch. These include:

1) Scene where the player can choose which items to move between two inventories

This update adds a lot of plugin commands for use in your events around multiple inventories. You can now get the currently active inventory, clear an inventory without deleting it, and check if an inventory exists.

You can also check if any inventory has a specific item, or if any existing inventory has that item. Similarly, you can now get the amount of an item in an inventory, or you can get the amount of an item throughout all inventories. This should allow you to check if the party has an item even if it is in a different inventory than the one currently assigned to the party.

This update adds a way to view an inventory that is not the currently active inventory. It mostly re-uses the item scene and windows, so should be fairly compatible with customizations done to your item scene. However, one change is that it is view only so you will not be able to use any items from an inactive inventory.

The idea behind this is that it is a way to give players a way to see what they have in other inventories if your game has something like a deposit box or other item storage mechanic. A plugin command was added to call the scene to view a given inventory's items. There are still plans for another scene which will allow you to transfer items between two inventories, however due to the complexity that will go into that scene it is still being worked on and was not yet ready for this update.

This version adds a scene where you can collect items from a different inventory into your current inventory. This can be used for things like a treasure chest, etc. where you want to give the player the option to collect certain items and leave others in the chest. You can style this scene with a background, controls window, and many other options to customize the scene. You call this scene via Plugin Command. See below gif for how it can look:

You can also now set up alternate inventories in the plugin parameters which will be initialized on game start. This should be an easier way to add inventories without needing to use so many plugin commands. You can easily create the inventory in the plugin parameters and just swap to it in 1 plugin command now.
