Patreon Potentials - February 2025 (Patreon)

Hello hello,

In my continuous effort to improve the user experience around here, I want to discuss some potential changes that I've been trying to think up for the Patreon. Instead of doing my standard "THIS IS HOW IT IS NOW GET USED TO IT" when it comes to updates, I want to get active feedback on my ideas, then go away and refine them, with hopes of implementing them in the future (or scrapping them entirely!).

A lot of the below is from ideas presented by Patrons as well as my own brainstorming, and so I encourage everyone to please give feedback on any of the ideas listed, either in the comments of this post or on the feedback form in the pinned post on the Patreon's main page!

Secondary, 'Not-Guaranteed' Request Thread

While I feel that the current routine of the Monthly Request Thread (MRT) works well enough for its intended purpose, I can't help but stress over the fact that only ~10 people out of 150+ get a request every month. As such, I wanted to propose the idea of a secondary request thread that runs alongside the MRT.

The basic concept is that a secondary request thread would be 'less exclusive' than the MRT, with the caveat being that it wouldn't be guaranteed that your request would get drawn in the timeframe provided. For Yucky Business Patreon OGs (hello and thank you so much....!!!!) think of it as being similar to how the old request thread functioned; there would be no limit to how many people can request, but there's no guarantee it'd actually be drawn. Perhaps keep it up for a month, write all the ideas down, then take it down for two months and occasionally draw ideas provided, then put it up again a couple months later, etc., with everyone being able to request again regardless of whether I drew their request previously (and this secondary request thread would have its own set of rules and guidelines of course...).

I figure something like this might be good for more sketches etc. to upload alongside the MRT sketches I upload, but I'd like to get everyone's opinions on the best way to make getting requests more fair for everyone...!!

'Random' Selection for Monthly Request Thread (MRT)

At the moment, the MRT works on a 'first-come, first-serve' basis, which I think works well enough for how the request system generally works. I ask, however, if people would find it displeasing if the MRT instead worked on a random draw system?

Rather than being first-come, first-serve and forcing people to be up at certain times and pray they get in quickly enough, I could leave the MRT open for a day or so, let people make their requests, put everyone who commented into a lucky draw, pull out however many requests I want that month, and then only take those requests selected (and letting everyone who didn't get in request again the next month).

This, potentially, allows for greater variance of individuals to get a request in every month, as getting a request would become luck-based rather than timing-based. Of course, this also raises the issue of people potentially not getting chosen multiple months in a row, which can lead to increased frustration with the requesting system as a whole. I could also interchange the MRT's system to be first-come first-served one month, then lucky draw the next month, but I also think this would get confusing for Patrons to keep track of...

I want to keep making the MRT as fair as possible for everyone, so if you have any feedback or ideas for how such a system might work, please let me know!!

Interchanging of Commissions and Request Threads on a Monthly Basis

Knowing that many people are wanting commissions from me - while also knowing it would be quite stressful for me to balance commissions and the MRT at the same time - I propose the idea of, rarely, switching out the MRT for an intake of commissions from $8 tier members. This could, perhaps, revolve in tandem with a potential secondary request thread as described above, where I take commissions and have a less-intensive request thread running one month, then switching back to the standard MRT the next month... Regardless, if I were to switch out the MRT for commissions on a particular month, I would still aim to upload extra doodles alongside the normal packs.

I also understand that not everyone is eager for a commission from me, and so I would like the opinions of everyone regarding how to navigate balancing of commissions and the MRT in the future!

Adding 'Weird' Kinks to Future Packs

For those unaware, the list of kinks I have extends well beyond the realms of inflation and weight gain content: hyper nips, species & inanimate object & cock transformation, uber & head inflation, flattening and shaping content are some of the more 'obtuse' fetishes I enjoy (without going into details...). I have separate Bluesky and FurAffinity accounts where I post those kinds of contents publicly, but I ask if people would appreciate if I started making alts in the monthly packs that included these types of contents, or perhaps based entire monthly packs around them.

Of course, I understand that the percentage of people reading this that are into the more 'weird' kinks of mine is probably quite low, and so I don't want to disappoint people by uploading packs of a character they love that includes content they couldn't give a fuck about. That begs the question of whether I should start polling what kink(s) to make an art pack each month, or perhaps just list the kink(s) that the monthly art pack might include when I put up the poll (typically I don't come up with the concept for a pack until the new month starts and the characters are chosen) but I digress...

Either way, please let me know your opinion on this - regardless of whether or not you enjoy these types of 'weirder' contents that I've drawn previously!

Timing for Monthly Request Thread (MRT) Uploads

As mentioned in previous posts, I upload the MRT at the same time each month: 11:30am ACDT on the 1st of every month / 9:00pm EDT / 6:00pm PDT on the last day of every month.

For non-American users of the Patreon, can I please ask what times the MRT goes up for you each month? I want to get a better understanding of the time(s) that I'm working with for in the future when I start to interchange the MRT upload schedule.

For everyone reading this, can I please ask what times would suit you best for the MRT to go up? As I am Australian and live on a fairly different schedule to everyone (e.g.: as of writing this post, it's about 11:00pm on the 23rd of February!) I tend to post the MRT at a time where I'm awake and active, but I also recognise this might not be best suited for everyone.

Please give me any opinions on this if you can!

Phew.....!!! This was a lot, and I'm sorry to have made two Administration Posts in a row that are the length of a short fuckin story...!! I know this can be a lot, and reading the entire thing can be frustrating, but please know that all I truly, truly want is for this Patreon to be as enjoyable an experience as it can be for everyone. Each and every day I strive to make the user experience the best it can be, and I think I can only achieve that by communicating with and getting feedback from all of you, who make my dreams come true each and every day. I quite literally would not be here doing this if not for all of you, and I will never forget that!!!!!!!
