($8 Tier) Minor Patreon Updates - August 2026 (Patreon)

tl;dr: October's Monthly Request Thread being uploaded at a 12 hour time difference; tried to better clarify the Monthly Request Thread Grace Period concept; when making Private Requests in the Monthly Request thread wait for me to approve of the DM first

Hello hello, just some very minor updates for this month:

• Monthly Request Thread (MRT) for OCTOBER 2026 Upload Time Difference

  In October, the MRT will be going up a full 12 hours difference compared to the norm. That is to say, instead of the usual upload time at 11:30am ACDT / 3:00am CEST on the 1st of the month / 9:00pm EDT / 6:00pm PDT on the last of the month, October's MRT will be going up at 11:30pm ACDT / 3:00pm CEST / 9:00am EDT / 6:00am PDT on the 1st of the month. This is a test to try and help non-US-centric Patrons with better chances at securing a request spot, but in the future I will most likely repeat this process.

  Again I will reiterate: this is ONE TIME ONLY for OCTOBER 2026's MRT. SEPTEMBER 2026'S MRT IS NOT AFFECTED and will be uploaded at the usual time!

• Better Clarification of Monthly Request Thread Grace Period

  While I've already made this change in the actual MRT rules, I figure I'd mention that I've tried to make the concept for the 2 month grace period between requests easier to understand:

  "Patrons who secure a request will have a 2-month grace period before they may secure another request; any attempt to try and secure a request during this 2-month period will be automatically denied. (e.g. Request January -> Wait February -> Wait March -> Request April)"

  The way I had it written previously caused a bit of confusion amongst Patrons, and I apologise sincerely for making things unclear...! Hopefully this should help everyone better understand what the grace period actually entails ☺️
  (NOTE: the functionality of the Grace Period is still the exact same, I've just tried to word it better in the rules...!)

• Slightly Altering Rule Regarding DMing of Private Requests in Monthly Request Thread

  Currently, when Patrons make a request in the MRT and want to keep it private, the rules state that they are to leave a comment in the MRT saying they will DM me, then message me immediately through Patreon's messaging system without waiting for me to confirm.

  Going forward, if you would like to make a private request in the MRT, I ask that you leave a comment in the MRT saying you will DM me, THEN wait for me to REPLY to YOUR COMMENT, in which I will tell you to proceed with the DM.

  (e.g. you leave a comment in MRT asking to DM -> you wait for me to reply to your comment -> I eventually reply to your comment saying 'Go ahead!' or something similar -> you may then DM me detailing your request.....if you do not get a reply from me, then you most likely did not secure a request slot in time!)

  Generally speaking, the sudden influx of requests whenever a MRT is uploaded can cause things to get out of order and become chaotic quite quickly; by doing this, it helps to ensure that I can keep things a bit more organised. I will still try to get to people as quickly as I can...!
  (NOTE: if you comment that you'll DM me and don't wait for me to reply before sending a message, I won't, like, start attacking you or anything, but it'd be nice if this could be the norm going forward....................)
