Uncut Gems is far and away my favorite Sandler flick. I need to check out more from the brothers that made it.

paul breedable?

Lord of the Pimp Rings

I know you had a lot of work with your WTF is Twilight but I'm so glad these are back. I love you throwing in some mini watch its mid review cause I can always go for more Paul recommendations. Also I find the concept of The Substance super fascinating cause it's pretty much guaranteed to fail cause nobody who loves themself is gonna take The Substance to start out with so of course they're gonna misuse it.

Jonathan Thomas

Actually cancelling my membership after that Weapons review. Christ, what a dogshit take.

David Smith

Nah, Weapons was the shit.

Elizabeth Allen

This would be so much better if my house wasn't robbed today. At least they only took my Xbox and I still have my phone and everything important so fuck em.

Elizabeth Allen

So Paul doesn't think Weapons is that great. I liked it, you people liked it but it wasn't The Substance or anything like that. Now if Paul didn't like The Substance? Pass me a pitch fork and light my torch bitch. See Weapons is a shock horror kind of film, once the crazy shit has already happened it doesn't give you this feeling like there's deeper layers to delve into so you watch it once and you've seen Weapons. There's no going back and peeling back layer after layer and finding interpretations that have personal meaning. Like I said before if you've watched Weapons you've seen Weapons and there's just nothing else to see after that. So I could see how Paul wasn't pulled in by it. I'd say watch it but only once or twice if you have some normie friends you want to shock.

Carlos

Yeah I did not like weapons neither, the ending was just bad, it goes from horror suspense to comedy, I don't understand why the movie had to restart to see things from the point of view of the cop and the crack guy, it felt as if it belonged to a different movie. 5/10

Carlos

The movie itself is confused. First is a misery movie. It changes to a crime movie, and it ends as a comedy.

BocephusJenkins

I was a bit tired of Weapons after the 5 or 6th perspective switch but I completely forgot about my boredom after the climax. Such an awesome hilariously dark way to end a movie that made it worth my rashomon fatigue.

Elizabeth Allen

It sucks hard, he took all of my makeup and my fucking dildo. I can always get another Xbox or upgrade but it's the little things like my cool cheap little purse and the cheap earrings I loved. I don't even know if Id want them back after seeing this guy on the neighbors footage. What I'd really like is to stomp his nuts but Id be happy enough if the cops caught the jittery ass hole. Iooked like he was on fent or meth in the recording my neighbors got.

Whitest Kids being a 90s show is a wild take

David

I "enjoyed" Uncut Gems. It's an excellent movie. Sandler should have won awards for it. But I can never watch it again. It was so stressful of a film, I felt like I was having a panic attack most of the time.

DemiurgeBeliever

I love this series. It’s my favorite content Pessimist Productions puts out these days. Thanks, Paul, for keeping my watchlist impossible to keep up with.

CesClaypool

I dug the fuck out of Weapons, but I feel like this is a somewhat divisive one. There's a lot of back and forth between those who like it and those who don't, and those who prefer it over Barbarian and those who don't. This is one that kicks up dirt for sure lol

Dryden Bowley

Yeah, I hadn't read all of these other comments. Lol I just loved that twist ending.

DFFPodcast

Paul didn't especially care for Barbarian either.

Richard Merritt

Seeing everyone gush over the slow, anticlimactic, movie that is Weapons is wild. What am I pissed off about? The It's What's Inside review, that movie exemplifies modern toxic relationships and *SPOILER ALERT* a guy is thrown in jail for life for the crime of liking a girls post on IG. The Freaky Friday(but as a group!) gimmick has been done before and the little twists at the end were so telegraphed that I was just waiting for half of the movie for them to figure it out, only for it to be spoon fed to us at the end. It isn't the worst movie in the world, the performances are fine, nothing stand out and nothing horrendous, but I am surprised Paul recommended watching this nothing-burger of a film.

Richard Merritt

It really wasn't that good of a movie, I probably would recommend it just because it does have some memorable scenes, but it wouldn't crack my top 20 horror films if i'm being honest.

pls steam onion fuck donkee

Chelsea

I liked weapons

King Hastur

In The Substance, I wasn't really clear on if they shared the same memories or not, it didn't seem like they did. What was she actually gaining from using it?

Is there a way to see the early dff episodes that were on vimeo? They are my favorite and there's several I can't watch or find I'm sorry if this has been fixed and I don't know I'm new to this
