Aging Podcast Hosts: Still Worth Watching?

I went to a Guns and Roses concert several years ago and not only was it stifling hot outside and were the speakers WAAAAY too freaking loud, sounding like they could explode any minute and deforming the audio, to top it off, everything sounded horrible!! Many years ago, I went to a Rolling Stones concert, which was okay-ish, but the concert was held in a HUGE football/soccer arena that was echoey as fuck!! So even when the songs were okay, despite those guys also being ancient, the echo made everything still sound horrible. And the prices you pay for the tickets, to see those mummified guys... Big OOF!! I just have to wonder, did these people just piss away their money on drugs, or whatever, that they still go on tour, ruining their legacy?? Surely, there should be something else that they could do to earn some money?? Sooo many of these ancient guys, that are no longer able to sing, still going out there, pretending. WHY is there a demand for that?! Why do people keep coming?! In the case of the Guns and Roses concert I went to, I did not buy the tickets (thank goodness!), because I already had little faith, but even without paying for it, I still wanted a refund!! Of my time, maybe? At the end there, TJ telling somebody else to go wash themselves, because they stink.... You must REEEAALLY reek, if that were to ever happen. XD

Saw scorpions in 2025 on the same tour. Not bad at festivals. The giant roboscorpion is sick, somehow a better performance than the Vegas one here. Joan Jett sounded like Bart Simpson last week. Was still worth to see cherrybomb. Foreigner was fucking awesome to see front and center even though they're as you said, a cover band. Sounded identical to hearing them on the radio but still not lipsyncing. Venom somehow are still kicking ass. Also broke my arm seeing Bring Me The Horizon at the same festival. Lmao No ragrets

I don't know why they did it, but I like Bon Jovi more than David Lee Roth. Neither of them are my favorites or anything. Not my kind of music, but yeah. But Roth is rather dull frankly. He can write songs with sexual innuendos and about girls. Very proud of him. Eddie and Alex both made that band in my opinion. David Lee Roth is my least favorite member of Van Halen, not to mention his solo material absolutely blows. Also Jon Bon Jovi is a better singer imo. There's basically nothing Roth does better to me.

Most people I've talked to like both eras frankly. They prefer Roth, who I don't really care for, but I'm also not the target for Van Halens music either. 80s hair and glam metal just really blows when you listen to most rock and metal that's come out since then. The only reason I ever go back to Van Halen in general is because Eddie and Alex were both really fucking great at their instruments. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if more people said they like the Hagar era more, since Van Halen actually tried to take their sound in a different direction during that era, whereas most Roth era Van Halen blends together for me. The albums don't do anything to differentiate themselves from the previous ones. It's rather dull and mundane lyrics about sex might have been cute and risqué when I was 10, but I'm 26 now and that doesn't do it for me. It's that way with most 80s bands like Van Halen, and Van Halen has remained in the public sphere mostly because of Eddie. They'd have gone the same way as Poison or Whitesnake had they not had Eddie, which is irrelevance.
