Which generation is the worst?

Manfredi & Johnson

I was just wondering when this would be published whilst taking a shit. The patreones were STARVED for contento, and now we gloriously feast like tj in an avg meal.

Elizabeth Allen

It's Saturday so it was always coming today. Regardless of off weeks Saturday is an always something day.

Elizabeth Allen

You wouldn't catch me dead in a poodle skirt.

Elizabeth Allen

I can't blame the Zoomies. Try for what? For a secluded hole? For enough slop to sustain the unending grind to nowhere?

Elizabeth Allen

Can we really blame the Zoomies for their lack of work effort when we are the one's that failed them? What world have we created for them that's worth working for?

Elizabeth Allen

Can you say these people really accomplished anything at all when their so called "accomplishments" led to nothing but rot? Seems like they worked their asses off so they could watch everything they worked so hard to build die a miserable slow grinding death.

Elizabeth Allen

Paul has such a bias for mules. Work ethic is only as good as the mind that wields it.

Elizabeth Allen

Gen Z will be my War Dogs in the wasteland. I've noticed that they will look to me for guidance at work because they struggle with even the most basic concepts so even though I don't know shit what little I do know makes me look like a beacon of hope and guidance.

Elizabeth Allen

Now the effectiveness of an Army of War Dogs that each need to be individually managed every step of the way because they need helicopter mom to tell them what to do is yet to be seen but I think my odds are ok considering the opposition.

Elizabeth Allen

My theory is that we are all the worst because the conscious mind is a destructive mutation incapable of balance within it's environment. A malignant growth, a cancerous mutation on a planetary scale. I believe the answer to Fermis Paradox is quite simple. Conscious minds are incapable of maintaining the balance unconscious minds thrive in therefore this imbalance leads to excess accumulation and ultimately extinction. Quite simply human beings are a cancer Mr Anderson.

Elizabeth Allen

The only question left is can the radiation from the sun act as an effective enough kemo therapy to save the earth or will the patient die with the growth? We'll never know because the earth will have burned us away long before that can be answered.

Elizabeth Allen

Don't mistake me calling human beings a cancer for hate. It's more of an observation of what is most likely the state of being for all forms of conscious life across the universe. Of course sentient cancer doesn't want to admit it's cancer. It wants to believe in potential beyond the void but the void most likely acts as a natural barrier against malignant growths hence why the growth is snuffed out before it can spread.

Elizabeth Allen

Basically we want to think we're special but in the grand scheme of the universe we're just like a scum growing on the side of a rock and we have no more chance of surviving off the face of our rock than that scum does off the face of it's rock. Biggest difference between us and that scum is it's in balance with it's environment. It's exactly where it's supposed to be.

Elizabeth Allen

One might say "If we're a cancer then why even live Elizabeth" well from one cancer to another you still like a hot meal? A breath of fresh air and a beautiful view? The reasons to live have always been quite simple and our grand dreams of achievement have always been comforting lies.

Elizabeth Allen

Part 2 felt kinda rushed. I think you really needed a longer format for this episodes concept.

Watching this reminds of the thing that ginger guy from the movie suburbia said. that in 50 years we'll be dead and they'll be another generation of suckers drinking beer and bitching about the prices of Oreos.

wunbis

Myles

Fun episode! I enjoyed rewatching the first part for this. Looking forward to Tuesday ☺️

I achieved perfect balance one time, all it took was a rat bricking my PC by gnawing on my ethernet cord and then I slept on a comforter on the floor for 9 months. I see the vast majority of humanity to be fully incapable of achieving the balance I experienced in my broke monk days.

Elizabeth Allen

The balance we achieve individually is merely the perception of a single minds interpretation of balance. The collective balance we require is one that is not learned it can not be taught or achieved it is only exhibited by creatures incapable of questioning themselves or the world around them.

J.B

The 90s really didn't have a fashion sense. Kind of sucks we had nothing going for us besides frosted tips

Elizabeth Allen

I've legitimately convinced myself that all forms of sentient life must be a malignant mutation. It makes so much sense. I know we've all considered the possibility that most life doesn't survive "The Great Filter" but what if it's absolutely none because it's completely impossible due to a malignant nature in all sentient mutations? Sentience itself could very well be self destructive and malignant to it's host environment no matter what form it could possibly inhabit. An inherent quality of the universe inescapable unchangeable and completely unavoidable. It really puts things into perspective, we literally never had a chance and we beat ourselves up for nothing because we feel like we didn't do enough. We never could have. Balance with our environment was never possible and balance with one another will never be great enough to get beyond Mars. It's just an impossible, a law of the universe.

Remember when people called you guys "Wikipedia the show"? Now you guys are "ChatGPT the show", lol. I still enjoyed both parts of this episode, though.

Cameron

Where’s the dark souls play through TJ, are you sacred?

Cameron

Is Scotty right? Are you a pussy when it comes to dark souls

Here's my perspective on zoomers as a Gen Z/Millennial cusper: we are a hyper cynical generation, but where most generations had to experience a lot of life to become cynical, we simply witnessed enough life to become cynical. Growing up with the Internet, we have had access to the entire world for most of our lives—infinite information at our fingertips and countless algorithms to put whatever information appeals to us right in front of our faces. We've seen the world (boomers) relentlessly beat down the 2 generations before us, and coupling that with how we have all found our own little cultures in our own separate corners, it's led to us kinda refusing to commit to anything. We're a generation with an escapist mindset. We've seen millennials work very hard for a very small piece of the pie, and we see that our slices are even smaller. In fact, they're small enough that we don't really see much reason to commit to that grind. Why should I work hard for a pittance? We simply lack incentive. We all see the same problems. A lot of the time, all we see are problems, but those corners we've isolated ourselves to show us very radically different solutions to them. I think we are by far the most divided generation on this list. All our lives until Trump, we have seen nothing but protection of a status quo that doesn't work. We won't commit strongly to an option that doesn't involve drastic change.

Poeacidic

How do Gen Z have no work ethic when they're going around doing multiple jobs just to pay rent in a 2 Bedroom Apartment with 3 room mates? The generation that adopted a whole new type of work with the internet? The generation that establish themselves as indie creators in almost every field? No Paul has talked to a few neats so Gen Z doesn't I guess.

FulgrimFanboy

I work just to buy media and little trinkets to have some fun as everything rots around me. Seriously, why bother when it'd take half of my annual income just to buy a 2016 Honda civic lmao

Alexander McCarty

He said he would do it weeks ago, I guess he conveniently forgot... again

ChefJBrDee

Do not EVER break a show up in two parts for a week again

Kaylin Tyler

Y’all do not understand gen-z at all! lmao

Raeinok

I still rock my cargo shorts. They're baggy and comfy, and I got big ole pockets to put all my stuff in, no sitting on my wallet or phone.

CB

Who owns the world right now? More than even oil executives?

CB

Yes, a "desire to be the boomers". Think bout boomies and the "new age" movement...and harken back to Y's "therapyspeak". It's almost seemingly disjointed, but there is a clear parallax, here. One is the strict inversion of the other, and where they both pass over one another, they meet, inextricably.

CB

The demarcation is all wrong. Here is the easy solution: decades. 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. Any other other demarcation is scientifically abject, stupid, and wrong.
