Still feeling the grumblings of hunger? We know the feeling. Sometimes no Buffet is large enough. Sometimes you just want that personal touch.

That’s why we created the Chef’s Table--a NEW PATREON TIER! Your 10 dollars gets you access to the WHOLE Buffet above and so much more.

A special Role on the official DFF Discord, for starters. That Role will give you access to Live chats with the guys! After each Wednesday Episode of FLASH FRIED, TJ, Scotty and Paul will chill with all of you, answer your burning questions, take your feedback and show suggestions AND give you insider info on the show, including a first look at the Friday episode! You’ll be the first fans to know what the guys are covering!

Speaking of FLASH FRIED, did I mention that it is now LIVE? Well, not for anyone else, but for you it is! Members of the Chef’s Table get EXCLUSIVE access to the live stream of FLASH FRIED every Wednesday. Watch the show before anyone else gets it, then hang out with the guys after!

Want more exclusives? We’ve got ‘em. Members of this tier will get access to behind the scenes content all throughout the month! When the guys travel, you go with them. Live streams from the road, food and movie reviews, behind the scenes pictures...you’ll never have an empty plate, so keep an eye on your Patreon updates. You never know what will be waiting for you.

Steve Wofford

Does $5 still get you the same stuff as before or has that been moved a $10 tier?

mandalabunny

Not sure how I feel about this...

Lehi Drew

Chef's Table > War Room

Jane'e Taylor

What happened to keeping only one tier?

Ephriam Lippert

I thought the whole point of combining them all together so it would be cheaper and simpler for everybody but, if you keep adding just one more tier eventually it'll be just like DP was and have 500 tiers all fucking with the system. I just think this kind of sucks and I liked the first idea much better.

Lehi Drew

i don't see the big deal with adding the new tier. The first tier still exists and the new one doesn't overly complicate things.

Garrett R

Scammer individuals

Gavvyn

Greed indivijal situation.

Cameron

$180k/year wasn't quite enough

Dylan Dixon

The whole selling point of this patreon was that it was only 1 tier

Venom9390

It this get me more hot Tj and Paul action I'm ok with this

Nicholas Montano

Now I have to think about this scam situation lol

Peaches

Not a fan of this change. By only having one tier, everyone here feels included and like we're all part of the DFF family...Honestly, adding a second tier (that I'm assuming a lot of us can't afford) makes this Patreon less appealing and strips your Patreon of it's uniqueness. I never considered stopping my patronage till I saw this update...I still won't be stopping it but I hope this isn't something you guys stick with.

Jimmyslimd1ck

I'm going to check it out when it drops but we will see if I continue to do the chef's table tier.

Matthew Lee

What happened to one tier for simplicity?

Matty Hervey

My only gripe is up until now they've been taking our show suggestions, it sounds like that will be a chef table privilege now.

GC1931

Ten dollars isn’t bad, but I wish you guys would’ve kept the one tier. Still better than DP’s Patreorn though.

Redd Skair

More of the content I love!? Take my money 💰

Yellow Curdled Ropes

The $5 tier staying the same so I don't get why the whiney faggots have their panties in a bunch. I get that hiding more behind paywalls sucks but as long as we get the same amount of content for our 5 dollars, why be a whiney little faggot?

Lehi Drew
>>12774319

That's what I'm thinking, too. They didn't change anything about the original buffet. They just let some extra people into the kitchen while they cook.

Yellow Curdled Ropes

Looks like they lost an ass load of patrons because of it though. Honestly I get you guys are providing a lot for only $5. But wouldn't it make more sence to add more of this kind of stuff to the $5 tier and keep it at 1 tier to appeal way more people than lose around 100 instantly? I'd rather have 3-5k people paying me $5 a month than 1-2k paying $10 a month.

Sophia Finizia
>>12774445

Why are they losing patrons over this though? The $5 patrons aren’t losing anything, they’re just adding an optional tier for if they want to get more stuff

Artur Vogt

i dont like it. the beauty of DFF was the simple system of 5$ and thats all.. and i am shure that played a big role in the success of this patreon. you didnt have the clusterfuck that is the DP patreon. even if you dont loose anything, seing a perk above yours makes you feel lacking. and that is probably the reason why people left.

Artur Vogt

btw. VISA EU has technical problems O_o my pledge didnt go throu, maybe thats the reason patreons are missing

Marcus Smith

As a fan who would get the $10 tier if I could afford it, I think this was implemented fairly. Don't fuck it up though

Stephanie McNair

Didn't they say a while back that they might add more tiers in the future? Don't see why people are complaining.

Yellow Curdled Ropes

When I saw this I thought "Hmm not really for me because i never watch the show live. Talking to my lords and saviours in a live chat would be great but otherwise meh" But not once did I have a faggoty outrage about "but muh 1 tier?! Ruined! Canceling!"

BruceyDaPug

You scammer situations! Now I got to drop another 5 bucks to be able to eat more content! This worse than the time I gave TJ Kirk 50 dollars for not productive kick starter and all I got was TJ saying my name! Guess I’ll be dropping another 5 bucks a month heckle you guys on the discord! Love the current content and can’t wait to see what the 10 dollar tier brings me!

GC1931

What about the RV trip!

Anonymous

I don't like this idea. I don't really care that much about it but doesn't it ruin the simplicity of this patreon, which was one of the things that made it so alluring?

YukiMa88 UwU

So mutch for 1 tier and 1 tier only :3, but i understand that people like money and need to support their living cost and more :D

DFFPodcast
>>12775905

All patreons fluctuate at the end of the month. Mostly due to credit cards being denied for the recharge.

southside99999

not a fan my fellow tomatinos also wtf how come theyre back under 3k patrons lol

Gamesick2077

as long as they dont lock shows behind the paywall higher than the $5 im fine in this tier, love the show but dont bleed me dry please

Anonymous

And so it begins.

Kristofer Foster

wish I could join your new tier but times are tough. I need every dollar I can muster these days. but thank you so much for all you provide for us smaller donors. we really appreciate it!

Tony G

This time next year it will be DP all over again, about 30 tiers from $5 to $5000. I knew the one tier thing wouldn’t last

Comrade_OzWitch

Your are going to lose patrons who subscribed due to the simplicity of your patreon. I loved the whole "$5 for everything, simple, straightforward" plan, and so did a lot of other people. This is going to lose patrons, and cost you new ones. A reason a lot of us, including me, signed up in the first place was because, hey, $5 for everything, cool, what a simple patreon. But now people will see different tiers and be like, eh, I dunno, alt-tab over to Facebook and forget they were even considering being a patron. I understand that the new tier offers more content, but you shouldn't look at this as "we're offering you more", because how it really comes across to your patrons is "we're advertising to you trying to SELL you more", and that flies in the face of what I thought was a very clever patreon plan. Just my thoughts. I want to see this podcast succeed, and it makes me sad to watch you guys lose patrons over what I think was a bad business move. Simplicity is the name of the game, fellas. The less buttons people have to click, the less choices they have to make, the easier it is for them to sign up and remain patrons.

Manuel Siefert

@KashusKlay I couldn't agree more. On point.

LazyBoogie

Would upgrade to this, but I live in finland so rarely catch you guys live.

Anonymous

This is the first Patreon I ever signed for and it was due to the simplicity of having just one straightforward tier. I don't really like this idea.

PETER

@KashusKlay I completely agree with you. I was hesitant to even get on board with purchasing a $5 Patron. But if I’m going to be excluded on content I was promised, I will most likely be leaving. And I don’t really like giving my money away unless I know it’s really worth it. I will be removing after 1 month if it has not changed. Sorry boys but I need to save money if I’m not getting all the content I was offered

Peter Adamson

Yeah if im not getting all the content for 5 $5 (the maximum i can even afford) then it doesn't have anywhere near the worth it once had. Considering cancelling now

BlackGuyTv
>>12778054

Because ppl have canceled their patronage now. I’m considering it myself.

BlackGuyTv

After you guys left and DP’s tiers stayed the same I thought it was all Ben but I guess not lmao!!!

Helly Selznick

First creator I've become a patron for. This is 🐟y.

Nikolai Tagaroulias

Thats not the point..and you could pay more if you chose to anyway you arent locked in to doing $5 a month you could enter in whatever amount you wanted.

Anonymous
>>12776233

It just means you can be manipulated and easily scammed into paying whatever they want you to. "Talking to my lords and saviors" That's part of your problem, you're just kissing ass and poor ol TJ couldn't do anything wrong, here TJ I'll give you my paycheck this week if you let me talk to you for 5 minutes

Anonymous
>>12781016

The one tier was just a lie to bring people in, now the fun really begins.

Anonymous

It's obvious why some patrons are jumping ship. From the first shows patrons were promised to get "everything" for only 1 tier that was $5. It was a great idea and actually got me to become a patron because it was reasonable and I really enjoy the show. Now a 2nd tier has come out and completely contradicts what was said before. I get that the 2nd tier simply offers more than the 1st tier, but it has already been proven that DFF will go back on its word. It's only a matter of time before new tiers are added and perks are stripped from lower tiers and put into higher ones. I'm staying a patron because I enjoy the show and the perks are still worth it to me, but as soon as that first tier gets touched or more shows are given to the higher tiers I'm done. Not that my one patron matters that much but seeing how quickly patrons left just because a new tier was added, I would imagine that many will leave when perks get removed from the first tier. I really want to believe that it stops here but I know better.

Tony G
>>12785624

How many patrons have jumped ship since the tier 2 announcement?

Brian Rafferty

You told us the paywall was in service of having simplest possible monetization model. $5 for everything. That was the deal. Now it's just a standard patreon, only unlike everyone else on the platform, you lock half the content behind a paywall.

Rubick

I'm kinda conflicted. I don't want to say "they're not allowed to make more money", but i liked the idea of just a 5$ patron as a way to support them and know that i'm getting everything. Feels like now there's anoterlayer of "haves and have nots" where i'm pressured to give more money. If they want more ways to make money i'd prefer them to come out with merch which i'd love to buy, but i might just take off my patreon for a little while.

Aenima72826

You can still stay a $5 patron and get all the shows, your not losing anything by staying at $5 tier the $10 tier just lets you support more if you want to and gives a couple extra perks but no extra shows. Idk why so many people are upset especially since they said from the very beginning they might change it.

Tiny Turnip

They didn't even deliver on the extra Abandon Hope or Cinema for Cynics content. No thanks. Five bucks is all yer gettin' from me.

BangoMike

Wasn't it $5 for everything at first? Now food and even movie reviews are only for the $10 Patrons??

Booop Booop
>>12789589

Read the $5 tier again, it's the same content. Jesus you people need to read and pay attention.

Anonymous

You guys are really fucking whiny. You don’t have to announce you’re leaving. No one cares, you’re literally not losing anything you already signed up for, you can remain a $5 patron and get the second show and a lot of extra content but yknow, whatever.

Keggerous

One of the reasons I joined your patreon is because it was simple and I felt that for 5$, getting everything seemed fair and legit. To add a 10$ patreon subverts that entire feeling . . . just sayin.

boratgamer
>>12798336

TJ said blatantly during his "1 tier" pitch at the end of it with a chuckle 'but obviously we could change it at a later date if it doesn't work out'... This move is a mere variation on that possibility.. its working out so well people want to pay for more access.. Only autists left the patreon because they lack comprehension lol

boratgamer

I agree with calling all you whiners. And I think people lack understanding of patreon? The 100 or so "removed" from the list are **pledges** for the new tier which rolls over MONTHLY. They won't show back until July now!

boratgamer
>>12774056

You're stupid... thats without patreon taking their 5-10% slice, then you have divided 3 ways, then you have each 50 *something* thousand paying income tax! Dave Rubin has like 35K a month and looks to basically run the show himself though he puts a facade theres a 'team' I think he spent some setup tech cash, then its just part timers (freelance editing hires)

Jordon Wesley

Yeah, I don't like this. Created a patreon just to join this one because the value, simpicity, and inclusivity was a fantastic selling point. I may reconsider. Knowing them, they will call us stupid, but it is what it is. Bad move.

Avory
>>12782625

What changed in terms of what you get for the 5$?

Anonymous

These people whining about the new reward tier with absolutely inane reasons are the most assasnine, idiotic scumfucks I've ever witnessed. 'True fans' indeed. Because of the new rewards and to spite these bumbling fags I'm upping my pledge to the $10. Fight me motherfuckers

Anonymous

So firstly, TJ has acknowledged me from my count, about 7 times(most of which were positive. Call this response sad, he hasn't acknowledged you once). Secondly, relying on a bunch of unstable snivelling cunts who profusely menstruate over a fucking $10 reward tier for the bulk of their income is quite the 'foresight' fuckface. I'd think it wise to weed out the faggots early on to prevent pessimist productions from relying on goons and then suddenly find their income plummet by half after a mere fart

Kingzilla

When you started this you said one tier. I feel lied to.

PixelCrusader

Oh, the times they are a-chaaaaangin' *harmonica solo*

PixelCrusader

Oh, boo-fuckin' hoo, kid. No one's scamming you! The channel is getting more content for their $5 patreon and some behind-the-scenes and chat stuff for the $10. Really, what the $10 tier gets you is only hardcore fan shit. Chill out, you're getting more show content for the same price you were paying before.

RS teemo girl

being able to ask tj why he scam situation in the discord, yay! TAKE 5 MORE DOLLARS NOW!

Anonymous
>>12806257

I wanted to rewatch your singlish video but your channel was taken down. Sucks.

Anonymous
>>12799240

He isn't making you pay more. You just want him to so you have an excuse to complain, because you are a piece of shit and you have no life.

Anonymous
>>12783442

It has literally the exact same worth you fucking retard. Read the god damned pledge.

boratgamer
>>12800093

No one cares. You're not important. They will make up your removed 5$ for someone (on 10$ tier) who is less stupid about this whole thing
