I was honestly hoping you guys would do a George Carlin Vs. Robbin Williams Show. But one half of that wish is good enough. Hope you guys also do a show on Williams One day.

Smack Millan

I didn't always find him funny, but I learned a lot from him. He taught you while he made you laugh. One of the greats.

Wjyndigo

You can see the White Guilt Paul is a person dying inside.

You know who else doesn't conform to social norms and etiquette? Larry David.

Sam Bray

FINALLY! Now do Bill Hicks

Anonymous

Hell fucking yeah!

Jeremy Geller

I came from a clean household, the first time I saw Carlin was his baseball vs football clip at the baseball hall of fame, after that I got home and began looking for clips on YouTube and have been hooked ever since great to learn more about him

Jack of Tears

You're my modern day Carlin, TJ.

Bigass Frog

Great ep. guys. Carlin is an excellent example of how even the greatest minds among us can fall victim to things like addiction and desire for fame and wealth in a ways that undermine who we truly are. He took a long time to find his stride and spent almost half his life searching for the path that led to his success, but more importantly to the realization of some greater potential within his character. As much as a person like George Carlin might only come once in a lifetime, he was also to some extent a normal guy with normal aspirations, normal flaws and normal insecurities. He wasn't perfect, but by the peak of his career he was unabashedly himself in a way that I believe may have genuinely given a voice to 8 generations or more. You guys did a great job covering his life story and capturing who he was and what he represented without holding back the flaws that made him as human as the rest of us. Very respectful homage to a legend whose powerful anti-authoritarian message has inspired millions.

Josh Jones

Thanks a bunch for doing this one guys. I’ve always loved George Carlin.

TompkinG

You guys should post all Patreon shows to Vimeo, YouTube fucking succkkkksssss trying to watch on mobile 😭 I guess I’ll manage

Alena Leonova

this was a damn near perfect show, you guys killed it

average Charleston Chew enjoyer

Carlin had pretty bad luck with the "I kinda like it when a lot of people die" special, it was actually recorded in 2001 and unfortunately it was recorded just a day before the 9/11 attacks. Because of the name and the content he decided not to release it. He planned to re-use the title of the special in 2004 but then hurricane Katrina happened and it was discarded again. Then it was finally released in 2016.

58:00 Paul when you were depressed like that your rants were more interesting. I don't think that a modern Paul could of made the "ashamed to be an american" video.

Oliver Zinn

You did a sequel to the star trek races video and the Kevin Smith stuff

Jean the Baptiste

I think Carlin could have played Obi Wan in the original Star Wars.

This is b******* you guys need a f****** better way to display your videos I f****** hate scrolling through your endless f****** post

Josef Kosik

Honestly, just because his earlier material is straight-laced or less profound, doesn’t make it inherently worse. I find his earlier stuff, including Wonderful Wino and Indian Sergeant just as entertaining as It’s Bad for Ya. And his early 80s work, especially the New Jersey album, is extremely funny.

Frost Draco

I dont think it was worse, I just think the sense of comedy coming from them was a bit too restrained for my taste.

KOHP111

Never meet your heroes boys; he was a junkie. He was a successful junkie!.. One who tried his whole life to justify his nature... but for every George there's that pot-head uncle that your parents kept you away from... Good entertainer, bad person. RIP in piece Georgie.

Breonna Rice

I wanna start off by saying I haven't seen much of his stuff, but what clips I have seen weren't really funny to me. It was engaging and interesting material but it feels like a rally or a ted talk or something. Is there a place that I can watch his full specials? Surely the segmented way I've seen the content has an effect on the comedic rhythm and so I don't think I can give a full and honest appraisal of it. I feel like I can't do it justice.

Because of this video, I just listened to his entire discography in 2 days while hiking the AT. It was more than worthwhile, and it made the miles fly by. Thanks guys!

R. BUDD DWYER

I thought the episode was pretty good... but George wanted me to tell you that he thought the episode was spot on! I'm not super close with him in hell, but, he's too busy cheifing jays with Nchietzsche to make his own patreon.

No Thanks

Scotty is the epitome of someone who barely listens, and just waits to speak.

Cybernetik Soul

I would not mind having multiple george carlin segments.

Omar

"one of the hosts pretends to be an sjw"= "one of the hosts strawmans the left."

A few years later Judd Apatow did a George Carlin documentary
