Omg Finally!!! Want to hear your theories on the movie so badly!!

YourEvilBoyfriend

Oh joy! I can live with this replacing shit like, Cynics vs Jack n Jill

Daniel Einarsson

I couldn’t be happier to be a patron right now

CampCounselerSteve

I prefer the movie commentaries. This just isn't the same.

Skeptical Jesus

The Lighthouse is one of the most compelling movies I've seen in quite some time. I didn't even notice the Seagull only had one eye the first time around.

CJ

I do like this format but I still prefer the commentaries.

simon

really enjoyed this format - this could be a good format to explore different directors/actors or specific movies. Kick things off with a specific movie, then let the banter take things wherever about movies and cinema. Less formal and just talking movies and banter

Ceph

This is much better than the movie commentaries because y'all are actually having a discussion instead of just sitting there making on-the-spot remarks to try to keep the video entertaining. This format also allows y'all to make videos on good movies, not just the bad. We all know that if you tried doing one of your classic commentaries for a good movie those videos would get taken down by the companies. As with anything new, there are going to be people who do not like the change at all, but I recommend that y'all press even harder to get these kinds of videos out, and those people will eventually come to appreciate it. Perhaps to appease them you could try to throw up more still images, perhaps one for each scene of the movie. I know even that can sometimes result in a false DMCA, but you can always just edit those sections out if so. I love you guys and have been following at least one of you since the good old 2011 days. Regardless of what other YouTube channel I find entertaining, I seem to be unable to stop coming back to you guys.

damien glenn

not really a fan of these. thanks for the CvsC content while it lasted

Mike Christopher

Imagine living without this sweet patreon content

Banana Shoes

Love this style. I don't hate the commentaries, but if I get to choose listening to y'all talk to each other about what you like about these movies uninterrupted, or listening to y'all just shitting on a movie as it plays out I'd definitely prefer the former. Just more interesting to me, and it seems like you're all more passionate doing this kind of 'movie book club' kinda deal as opposed to all watching the shit together.

Zion Smith

The killer Santa in the show Happy! is one of my favorite killer Santas. Hella fucked up and creepy

Douglas Hesketh

OMG, the shark isn't called Jaws, the MOVIE is called Jaws.

Ignar Husky
>>39860810

Forreal lol It's called Bruce . Also Spielberg called it The Great White Turd because he was frustrated with the animatronics of it during filming.

Devin grovell

Quite enjoy this format, like the movie banter

Erin E MacKenna

Went over theories for about a month cant wait to listen. Favorite movie of 2019.

endocrine

I really enjoyed the nostalgic flashbacks; the older I get (late twenties now)z, the more I find myself wanting to be a kid with no worries in the late 90s again 😔... a simpler time.

Totally disagree and pushing these videos out is only furthering my decision to cancel later this month. I came to the patreon because they put CvsC behind the paywall, not because im in love with DFF. A good show, but not CvsC. They really just need to use the Rifftrax model and create an audio only riff file that can be synced to the movie.

Noah Hachey

The Lighthouse was set in Maine wasn't it?

JDTaylor

I do miss watching you guys sitting down watching movies, I would like you to continue doing them. Posting the URL of where we can watch the movie also. It's free advertising for them, surely they can't complain. This is a good segment also, and working in some banter at the end keeps it on a personal level, which is what makes watching you guys so enjoyable. Haven't seen the movie Lighthouse yet, thinking I'll go watch it soon now, thanks.

BinaGreenspan

I loved your video on the Simpson's characters. Will you be doing one on Futurama? Please?😊

CORNMAN

Santa's Sleigh w/ Goldberg is awesome because he murders Chris Kattan in the opening scene.

JP

Would love to see your opinions on Stanley Kubricks Barry Lyndon , but I think it might burn too slow for TJ.

Marlin Benson

You guys are awesome for doing this

xXAMightyStormXx

I loved this episode and would also REALLY love you guys just discussing books and movies. Like a Stephen King series for the patrons where you just go through every Stephen King Book/Film and call it the DFF Book Club or something.

Matt Roper

awesome you guys did this! As soon as I watched that movie I wanted to hear your opinions on it

Edvard Lundgren

Hm, this episode started of really good, but then it suffered from a lack of focus and structure. We know you can do bantersodes, that's not in question. The discussion about The Lighthouse was very good, but then it started to trail off. I know straight up commentaries are out of the question for now, but I much prefer the format you had for The Fanatic than this looser format.

Travis Boone

I like this format keep it going like this if you ask me.

Moist Calzone

It's an insult to call Universal's Twister a ride.

Rinpoo

I like these, but I do want the commentary more. I was a 10 dollar patron for DP just for the movie commentary, and I am a 10 dollar patron now because I do like all the content, but especially the commentary. I won't cancel if you decide to do away with the commentary, but I really wish you would do them again, as I always looked forward to them the most each month.

Alex J

The riff commentaries are still my favorite format, but this is good. I enjoy a nice 50/50 balance of good and bad movie content.

Bo Prince

Please watch Frankenhooker

Scotty B

Mike Hanlon, Paul . Who the fuck is Mike Enslin , dude ? Other than that I quite like this format. Cinema for Cynics is good too, so whatever you lads want to do is fine with me 🤘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤘

Jacob Kantor

2:01:00 is scotty fucking polyamorous ???

Cybernetik Soul

Honestly this was a great episode. Talking movies was great and insightful. Taking experiences with eachother and really letting us all see what you think of racist, that was neat. Definitely made me certain that when I feel it safe to, imma get in on one of those meetups.

c0lt

Who the fuck can sit and do nothing for 15 hours except watch Deep Fat Fried? Soon these guys will be posting about how much they should tip the pizza man because they're too busy sitting on their ass getting type 2 diabetes to get to the grocery store.

The Chaotic Innovator

these videos from you guys are much appreciated :) I like hearing what you guys have to say about movies :D

AshFox

I like movie stuff but I don't think much you guys could do top the old reacting to horrible movies stuff you used to do. I still watch your Reanimator the Living Dead, Food Fight, and Swamp Ape videos, and that putting the Christ back in Christmas special from time to time and I always have a great time

nick

Great episode, maybe you could have a drunk memories/legal tobacco memories episode? *thumbs up*

Dagnar Legra

im down with this format bois

V. V.

Can’t watch the episode. Haven’t seen it yet. 😣 Love the director tho. The Witch is one of my favorite movies of all time

Moist Calzone

TJ needs to try low temp dabbing with an enail.

Danny Jones

I feel the cinema for cynics style is far more entertaining and I very much prefer that format for you watching / reviewing movies.

Ian Cole

I really enjoy this, especially since the movie talk was as entertaining as the tangents, but I see why someone might want a stand-alone movie commentary or discussion. It also makes me think full episodes directly comparing books to movie recreations would work really well

Ryan Gondek

Do Zombie Ass before permanently changing the format.

Back when a blow job was a political scandal. Back when the worst influence on tv was Al Bundy. Back when the Simpsons were funny. Back when you had to see tits on the scrambled channel.

Heather Squidz

Man know thyself; then thou shalt know the universe and God. --Pythagorus

Sir Drinkalot

I always confuse Robert Pattinson with Pat Robertson

Ishaan govardhan

To try and make sense of this movie by appealing to symbolism of any sort, is to miss the point. This movie's about 2 guys going insane. That's it. Insanity defies all sense, just like most of this movie's imagery and plot points. the movie is a glimpse into the insane mind where logic is nowhere to be found. None of it makes sense, unless you have lost your mind like the characters did. The story defies meaning. If an insane person watches a regular straightforward movie, they'll be as confused by it as we are by The Lighthouse. So this movie invites us to feel insane for an hour and a half. It's about insanity. Any other interpretation is just counter-intuitive over-analysis

Michael Wagne

Late to the party, but I like these

Zach Watkins

I'm positive TJ would enjoy Blue Velvet, the Elephant Man, Muholland Drive, maybe even Eraserhead. He's just gone into the wrong Lynch films, had a bad introduction to be honest.
