Maybe so but you kind of lose points when you sign a non-aggression pact with Hitler and only catch up to speed when he betrays you. Same way the US loses points for playing wait-and-see until Japan bombed us. End of the day it doesn't really matter who saved whom because we've managed to create a dystopian hellscape in under a century anyway.
